This hubris of his will be the final nail in his coffin....2 points

Olympiakos is a currupt football club fixated on money with no care for the beautiful game. Olympiakos is owned by a heroine selling crook who is willing to put lives at risk to cover himself up. Marinakis couldn't give two F***s that he's ruining our league, he just cares about the money in his XXXL pants pocket. Couldn't agree more with you jvc1 point

So........ .... where a president of a football club is found guilty of bribing matches (Veria v Oly), of blackmailing referees (and burn their shops down), of directly interfering with another team's starting 11 (Sa Pinto at Atromitos) that this wont implicate Olympiakos??? Dont forget that Sa Pinto will have his day in court as well, along with the Veria crowd. Stay tuned. C'mon mate. Lets not kid ourselves. Just because Vaggela and his mates think they are the biggest manges and are straight from the set of the Sopranos, doesnt mean that UEFA will see it that way too. I know Greece is a bourdelo when it comes to pursuing high profile criminals but then again, who thought that Marinakis would be BANNED FROM BEING INVOLVED IN FOOTBALL? All of Europe is talking about this, did you see the headlines across European sports websites (including Eurosport)? Would UEFA allow such publicity for one of their CL participants, especially when they were recently publicly so strong about FIFA corruption? UEFA has to now act on their words. The FIFA corruption scandal is an indirect blessing.1 point

Its the same here in Sydney jvc many fans have lost interest in Greek football because of the corruption but then you do have a few malakes who turn a blind eye and run their mouths even though they know where the corruption steams from. Most of them went into hiding last night after the decision that was made as all it shows is the titles they won under fatass have a massive cloud over them now. I love AEK, but the greek league has turned me off but still I cant not watch my team play, even though I know what s%$#! goes on behind the scenes. As for fatass the empty seats in the stadium say enough about their fans and how most are over him and his s%$#!, in Greece especially they just don't go to games anymore but the ones outside of Greece are the ones who have passion but wont see behind the scenes of what their team is all about. As for the heroin, whichever m#$%! defends him for it and says he is innocent is just a scum as fatass is plain and simple. Makes money off heroin, rips Oly of money each year and these dumbcunts love him for it hahahahaha Answer me one question why would an arab named Souleman want to meet with Marinakis? To talk about weight loss? Why does fatass have another phone in the name of Fatoul? And they say we have no idea, denial is the first sign of guilt my friend. I wont say anymore re I may get a lawsuit against me :)1 point

Nothing has changed. Lets consider the facts: 1. Irrespective of the situation, whether they were in the CL or B Ethniki, they need to hire a coach. Marco Silva is not a big name coach I imagine does not command top dollar after being sacked by Sporting Lisbon. 2. They need metagrafes irrespective of Europe or not. If Berbatov comes, so what? We signed Essien without the guarantee of CL income, they could easily do the same. 3. I imagine they are in a strong financial position after a decade of CL football and recent player sales of 30m+. I am sure they can ride out a year or 2 of no European football and be prepared for their return.1 point

This is only the beginning boys, there is more to come from this, it's far from over As for his President and ownership my cuz over in Greece says he has to sell everything in his name off. Funny how some still cant see that their owner has been found guilty of all this, this has just shown that their titles weren't won in the right manner. If he was so innocent then why have these things being imposed on him????????? As for leaving the country you think they wont track every move of his now if he goes anywhere? The tide in Greek football is slowly turning........1 point

croatia was doing ok before they stupidly decided to become the 28th member recently and also slovenia. romania other than losing most of its working people to other EU nations hasn't really benefited from joining, Bulgaria's tourism and construction was booming with tourists flocking there because it was so cheap but prices have now risen sharply there since they joined. Portugal saw property prices rise sharply with brits and germans snapping up property in the algarve but wages there did't really rise and we saw the portuguese protesting because they couldn't afford property in their own country. Cyprus was doing ok before they joined, strong pound, good economy, low unemployment - look at them now, still divided, high unemployment, rising population huge reduction in wages, young educated cypriots leaving for other countries in order to find work with the island being full of foreigners. yes you make good points about greece but you cannot champion the EU as some sort of benevolent organisation that countries can't survive without, its undemocratic, its even more wasteful and corrupt than even Greece and the people now suffering in Greece through the EUs austerity demands are not the ones that caused the crisis in the first place. Just like in Cyprus, those that had their savings stolen by the banks (i believe they call it a 'haircut' in order to conceal what it really is) were not the ones that caused the mess. if you have your own currency you can devalue try and attract foreign investment and would have more tourists coming because it would be so cheap for them, but all i'm hearing here is that greeks are too stupid and need to be governed by the EU.1 point

like Ireland Portugal Spain Cyprus and Italy they're also in the poo. who made these 'rules and processes' and for what ends?? basically they want to dictate policy and demand austerity in 'sovereign' countries. and what about european countries who are not in the EU, how do they manage to function? the whole EU is undemocratic, when french and dutch voters voted no to a new constitution they simply changed the wording to a 'treaty' when Irish voters voted no to the Lisbon treaty they were made to vote again, when private banks went tits up in Cyprus well we know what happened there, the whole EU is a mess and needs to be disbanded but instead its swallowing up more countries. like i said, as bent and incompetent as the greek government is, the EU whose commissioners make all the rules are not elected and have never been audited because of their own corruption have no business dictating to Greece. To me their arrogance is staggering and I don't want their meddling/dictating in Greece. supposing those rules favour some and penalise others, suppose its not a level playing field?? besides its the EU that are laying the framework and rules for greeks, now if you think that there are no other options because greeks are too stupid to ' have a true understanding of the mechanisms of a viable modern economy....or what the role of government is in our lives' then there's no hope for Greece and they need the EU to govern them. one wonders how Greece even survived as a nation before they joined the EU.1 point
