Rumors are that we are negotiating with Augsburg for Gianoulis, but the Germans are asking for a lot of money to break the contract with the player. Apparently AEK and Olympiakos are also interested in the player.

The next season Superleague will continue to have 14 teams. There was a vote to expend it to 16 teams and eliminate the playoffs, but the vote failed. The two new teams in Superleague will be Kalamata and the fake Iraklis (PO Triglia Iraklis).

EPO decided that starting from next season each team is required to have 2 young Greek players (eligible to play on Greek national teams) on the pitch during a Greek Cup game. Last season it was only one player. Additionally, the Greek Cup will have the same format as last season , except that the League Phase will consist of 16 teams instead of 20 as it did in 2025-2026 season.

Apparently Baba also had a 1+1 clause in his contract so he is automatically signed for next season. Ozdoev wants a 2-year contract and we are offering only. If Ozdoev leaves we will supposedly try to keep Bianco. PAOK wants Taison back for one more season, but under reduced salary and as a backup. Haven't we heard that before.

Marios Oikonomou died today at the age of only 33 after being hit by a car. Oikonomou started his career at the local Club, PAS Ioannina. He also played in Italy and Denmark. Oikonomou was capped 6 times for the Ethiniki.

Zivkovic played for 77 minutes in the Cape Verde - Serbia 3:0 game, but got injured and will not travel with Serbia to Mexico for the friendly against Mexico. Kedziora played the whole game against Ukraine (0:2) Sanchez played one half in the Mexico - Australia game. It gets easier as the supposed weaker teams drop from the Champions League to the Europa League. Like Górnik Zabrze from CL Q2 to EL Q3 and the likes of Borac Banja Luka and Vikingur from CL Q3 to EL PO.

Nothing surer than despite us being seeded, we will cop Besiktas. From memory the early qualifying rounds of the Europa League can throw up some tough match-ups. Our pre-season training will once again take place in the land of Dutch Eagle. Apparently we will use the same facilities we did last summer. The dates mentioned are June 19 - July 13, 2026, which means the team will return to Thessaloniki approximately 10 days before our first Europa league match.

Every club receives about 10K a day for internationals at the WC. Starting the day they started their duties till the day of elimination. Last group matches are June 25th (Mexico/Sanchez) and June 27th (Ghana/Baba). So this means a minimum of about 600K for the both of them.
