plato-ny
FIFA rankings are the "universal" rankings and ELO are independent rankings. There is also another independent ranking system based in UK: http://www.internationalmark.co.uk/ranking.html
evalagoal
WOW! We sure are high up on this one.... Don't really agree w/ the ranking because we haven't done so well... It's amazing to see our team higher than some clubs that are participating in the WC.. I honestly think that we belong somewhere in the mid 40's And that's being generous
DUDE
I honestly think that we belong somewhere in the mid 40's And that's being generous You're kidding right! Greece are in the top 25 teams. Greece aren't in the A-list of nations, i.e. Brazil, Italy, etc. But I dont consider the B-list to be better. Teams like Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Cameroon are all in the second tier of top sides. I dont think they are better than us, and I certainly dont fear them!
Athens4
When Greece plays well, they can beat the best. Maybe not Brazil, but teams like France and Czech Rupublic and Portugal ;)

Tsalgik
I think that Greece have nothing to jealous from Turkey and Turkey nothing from Greece.More or less we are in the same level. Two medium class National teams of this planet.Nothing more. turkcell
I think that Greece have nothing to jealous from Turkey and Turkey nothing from Greece.More or less we are in the same level. Two medium class National teams of this planet.Nothing more. yes youre right.I just want to tell you al that tur. NT is NOT predictable. I mean they can loose very simple against much weaker teams and they can surprise against much stronger teams. But I never saw tur.NT winning against Argentina or Brazil so I believe that turkish NT is NOT one of the best teams in the world. To say this we should have won at least 2 times a World cup or a Euro Cup. So the third place in WC 2002 is NOT a result which shows us that we were really good. We played in the WC2002 against weak teams...Japan,Sengal,Korea-....you know what I mean this was not ..England,Germany,France.... ok Senegal kicked out France in 2002 but how ever .... and I give a ###### to statistics...you know statistics are pretty nice but every game has its own reality. now: Fatih Terim builds up a new team ....only fresh and young blood... I believe this new generation will get a cup either in 2008 or in 2010.
