phaedonk Posted September 19, 2005 Share Posted September 19, 2005 I was one of the lucky guys that were Beta-testers for the Slingbox. I signed up because I saw great potential in the product and I was dreaming of using it with my DSL connection in Greece to watch ARIS games. Luckily, I was chosen. The product is doing a very nice job indeed and the image quality was very good by the end of the beta test (it was a little choppy at the first stages). The problem is that there is no PAL version at the moment as bravomegale said. Also, I don't think that with the current state of broadband in Greece this thing will have a decent image. I remember that it had an upstream of about 600kbit to maintain that impressive picture. The cool thing is beta-testers will get a discount coupon to buy the retail version, so if the PAL version is out soon I will buy it and make tests.
