He may sound stupid for you....but maybe scottish people feel the same about the names of greek stadium....so respects other culture....

and how does that end the discussion? that was back in the 60's! by your arguement the hungarian league is in the top 5!

as for Celtic in 2003 final had they drawn Porto in the quarterfinals it would have been Panathinaikos in the final instead...give/take.....

theres no question the scot league and hearts is a big step down for Taki...hes played with Panathinaikos and Benfica and both are in better leagues and more competitive.

as for ibrox i had no idea it was a name, sorry.......it doesnt sound to me scottish/british at all so i figured it was a telecomunication company or something ..

Hungary?????????

yes they won one cup in 1965.....so that one more than greece......

Ok but Scotland won one in 67 (C1 with Celtic) one in 72 (C2 with Rangers) and one in 83 (C3 with Aberdeen)....so they won the 3 cups.....

I agree Scotland is a minor league compare to Italy France England Germany.....but what do you think of the Greek league......

I think scottish and greek league are of the same level and have a common point is that without their 2-3 bigs teams (Celtic and rangers for scotland and AEK PAO and olympiacos for Greece) the level of league is very poor)

Last thing HISTORY REMENBER ONLY THE WINNER.....

Anyway good luck for PAO next tuesday

I agree, I think that both the leagues are similar, without the big two for Scotland Celtic and Rangers and without the big three in Greece Olympiakos, AEK and Panathinaikos, both leagues aren't much, no other teams have recently gone very far in any european competition.

The Greek league 100 times better than the Scottish one?

Hmm.... ;) I'm not sure about that one.

Where is it 100 times better?

- Facilities?

- Players?

- TV money?

- Attendences?

- Quality of football?

- Performances in Europe?

Spears, before you get all bitter just let us know how or where you believe the Greek league is better, instead of just blasting someone. That way, we can have a decent conversation on the matter.

My comment had nothign to do wid Danny im simply got angry at the fact that if our own are going to agree wid dem what chance of winning do we have!!

Why shoudl the greek guy say that the scottish is betta or same ade kai yamisou coz the greek is betta simply coz its greeks dat the only reason i need, now if you wana have an educated argument get out the facts and figures!

Greek league won't improve and go forward with that kind of comments...

Sometimes you have admit when there is a problem and make the proper things to solve it...

For example the english league was very poor in 1992-1996 (when they came back form the european ban) they admit it and make the proper decision....and look now the premiership is one of the stronger league in europe...

It is not about being greek scottish or whatever, it is about making the proper decision and action, about the facilities, youth development, security and etc....

The greek league may not be one hundred times better, but it is a better league period..

facilities? better ( OAKA, toumpa, leoforos) and the atmosphere is amazing

players? better

tv money? who cares

attendences? have you been to a Pao game

quality? by far better, right now we have 2 teams in uefa cl(pao, oly) and another 4 in uefa cup(aek, aris, xanthi, and paok), and we generally do better in europe(at least PAO does)

Hearts boss George Burley is attempting to bring in 3 additional players before the transfer deadline closes tomorrow. This could make all the difference as there are fears that the squad is still not strong enough to last the course of the season.

Great fun watching them increase the gap at the top each week!! A goal in every game for Scacel with good steady performances from Takis.

A note about the manager. Didn't he finish 5th in the English Premiership with Ipswich not so long ago?

  • 2 weeks later...

Hearts are now 6 out of 6.Fyssas is playing very well and has been involved in some lovely moves.A great addition to their team.Recent improvements in the Scottish national team are no mystery........the goalkeeper and 2 central defenders are from Hearts.

Now,all those Hearts fans who have dissapeared are starting to come back. They have a very big support. The biggest outside Rangers and Celtic in Scotland.

right......... out of position doesnt mean you cant pass the ball or run........hes also been playing teams like Motherwell or Kilmanrock....

they played rangers today and won 1-0 and from what i hear, skacel was awesome...fyssas was unfortuanly injured at arond the 32nd minute and had to be subbed off...
