Lamia - Aris (August 27, 2018)

After what seems like a decade Aris will finally play a top flight game in the Greek League.  I'm really not sure what to expect since I know nothing about Lamia so I'll use the Aris preseason matchups as my guide and predict this game will end in a scoreless draw.

Στις εγκαταστάσεις του Δασυγένειου Αθλητικού Κέντρου προπονήθηκαν σήμερα το πρωί οι ποδοσφαιριστές του ΑΡΗ ενόψει της αυριανής αναμέτρησης με τη Λαμία (27/08) στο Δημοτικό Στάδιο Λαμίας (21:30), στο πλαίσιο της 1ης Αγωνιστικής του πρωταθλήματος «Super League Σουρωτή» της αγωνιστικής περιόδου 2018-2019.

Μετά την ολοκλήρωση της προπόνησης, ο τεχνικός της ομάδας μας, Πάκο Ερέρα, ανακοίνωσε την αποστολή (θα αναχωρήσει σε λίγη ώρα για την πρωτεύουσα της Φθιώτιδας), η οποία αποτελείται από 19 ποδοσφαιριστές, που είναι οι εξής:

Κουέστα, Καντιμοίρης, Μπρούνο Γκάμα, Ματέο Γκαρσία, Κολάσο, Βέλεθ, Ούγκο Σόουζα, Ντιγκινί, Μπάσα, Μενέντεθ, Γιουνές, Ματίγια, Δεληζήσης, Ναζλίδης, Παυλίδης, Τζανακάκης, Βαλεριάνος, Ιντζόγλου, Κωνσταντινίδης.

0:0 HT. We are almost chance-less after a bright start, Some serious ball knowledge at Bruno Gama and Mateo Garcia's feet.

Ημίχρονο 0-0. Στο 34' ακυρώθηκε γκολ του Άρη για υποτιθέμενο επιθετικό φάουλ, δύσκολη φάση.

Ο Άρης μου αρέσει πάντως, έχουμε 70% κατοχή, η ομάδα κυκλοφορεί πολύ καλά την μπάλα, παίζει δημιουργικά και έχει παίκτες που κάνουν τη διαφορά (Mateo Garcia, Bruno Gama, κλπ).

Δυσκολευόμαστε να κάνουμε τελικές, καθώς η Λαμία παίζει με διπλή ζώνη άμυνας και επιπλέον το τερέν είναι βαρύ, καθότι βρέχει συνεχώς.

I think that was too soft offensive foul and goal should have been counted. The goal is more a goal and less a foul than pony tailed wanKr Prijović's penalty one was.

I see some ball movements and automatism here in playing. Promising scenes.

Biggest question marks could be our target men whoever is in (Younes or Diamantopoulos or Nazlidis when on center attack)?!

What a great start to the season!!  I was very impressed with the quality on this team although I will remain reserved in judgement because it's only the first game and I have no idea how the rest of the league compares to Lamia.  I can say without hesitation that in Aris previous run (Koke years) the team did not have players that can break down defenses like Garcia and Gama.  If I'm not mistaken we are currently in 1st place.

Προσωπικά εντυπωσιάστηκα από:

- η ομάδα πήρε από το 1' τα ηνία του αγώνα, είχε την απόλυτη κυριαρχία

- παίξαμε δημιουργικό ποδόσφαιρο

- εκτός από την ομαδικότητα και το γρήγορο παιχνίδι, είδαμε και πολλές ατομικές αρετές (Gama, Garcia)

- παρά το υπέρ σκορ, η ομάδα έδειχνε μαχητικότητα έως το 90'

- σε τόσο βαρύ γήπεδο και με την ομάδα ακόμη ανέτοιμη, περίμενα να πέσει ο ρυθμός μετά το 60'-70', κάτι τέτοιο δεν συνέβη σε καμία περίπτωση, φαίνεται ότι έχει γίνει πολύ καλή δουλειά σε φυσική κατάσταση

I also thought about the statement in bold. Agreed there. As I said we will only see if Younes or Diamantopoulos could show some Koke skills up front. Goals will win points and standings.
Attacking midfield line above the old latino one, for sure. As you said, let us see several more matches and opponents but Lamia and even more stuffs will be clearer.
