Makis Aggelopoulos has been in charge of the team for about the last 3 seasons. He has spent a lot of money on the team to make us a force in Greece and it looks like his investment is paying off, we've won 9/10 games to start the year, we are currently second in our FIBA Champions League Group, and tied for first with Olympiakos in the league. We have a big game on Saturday against PAOK away, we should be able to pull out a win.

We beat Partizan away from home today to go 2nd in the group, im not 100% sure but I think we are guaranteed a place in the next stage, we play the final game vs 2nd last team Stelmet next Wednesday!

Aggelopoulos broke the news on Demi's radio show on Spor Fm that he is in negotiations to purchase a stadium that AEK will own. We also resigned out best player Michael Dixon until 2019.

This year, the team has done really well in Europe and the league, but we are still a few pieces away from being able to push Olympiakos and Panathinaikos in a 5 game series. We are looking to bring in a player to play the 3, and then most likely will try to sign Mavrokefalidis back in the end of February when he's able to leave his Chinese team. We had released him in the summer because of an injury concern, but he has overcome it and would be a good addition to the team.

His love for the team is something that can only be compared to Loukas Barlos' in terms of owners. He has put everything he has into the team to try and make us a European power, he's done way more than Melissanidis has for the soccer team, that's for sure. People are realizing this, hence the increase in basketball attendance and serious decrease in soccer.

We have been drawn to play Juventus (Lithuania) in the play off (7th & 21st February) and the winner will play Monaco (France) in the round of 16 (28th of February & 7th of March)
