AEK_ADELAIDE Posted July 28, 2008 Share Posted July 28, 2008 if we can get the money for papa then why not sell him? personally 4mil for him is a little low in my opinion but if thats the way demi and donis wants to do it then im with them 100%. papa is young and has a huge future, but unfortunately his future is not with AEK, if he is going to reach his potential he has to leave AEK and go to a bigger league and a bigger team, we all knw the greek league isnt the best so he has to move on to bigger and better things, and hopefully we will get the money we want from him. very happy with the signing of Kyrgiakos, i think hes much better then Dellas, so good move Demi, good to see AEK moving forward. You have the premier central defender of Greece on your roster....why sell him now? If it's about the money, then why not let him prove himself again this season, and his asking price would be even more next season? So, with Dellas gone, are strategy is to replace him with Kyriakos? I do not understand their motives except that they seem hellbent on playing a team with no Greek players. What's the point? Papastathopoulos gone (for 3,8 million Euro?) --> shame! Third place for us this year unless we get some good players with that money which I don't expect this summer... I would wager on third place as well... Paok and Aris have made some solid transfers. In the meantime our defense gets more porous and we have only one legit striker. Not trying to be sarcastic, but next season's playoffs have changed. The third place (and 4, 5 teams) will have an easier chance to beat the 2nd finisher! We let Lybe go free on transfer. Never replaced Kambadais from 2 years ago. A young Pavlis is promising....but not the answer. He's a nice fit if Blanco stays. In a previous post I claimed the've lost the plot. If Blanco -with his "Zorro" exuberance - goes, the've lost me.
