dark_horse
What we hope will happen is for Bordeaux to rest there regulars and have Panionios take full advantage of this by using there regular starters. :gr:

Irlandos
The game means absolutely NOTHING to Bordeaux! Look for Panionios to win 1-0 or 2-0 v. Girondins' reserves.
aek21
I wouldn't write Bordeaux off that easily, regardless of who they field. Don't think that if the reserves play they will take this game lightly, they'll want to impress.

And then nervous some more. C'mon Panthers! We *can* win this! You forgot...nervous. Seems to me you're a good luck charm for Panthers, Chris. Maybe a trip to Nea Smyrni is in the cards for you, this time a match in more friendly confines than Vienna. I love this team. I've always taken for them above all the big clubs for the simple reason of the IDEA that PGSS represents, and for the remarkable history of the Syllogo, where it's come from and what it's been through. Let's win the big game against Girondins, then all is possible. My worry is if any subs on the French side try to impress for their profile in both their club and French NT with Euro 2008 around the corner. Whatever. Gera Panionara!!!!!!!!!!! Irlandos
Oddsmakers in the UK are making Panionios 5/6 favourites for this match. Let's hope PGSS justify their judgement on Wednesday! :)

dark_horse
There's great news for Panionios ! ! ! Bordeaux take young guns to Greece Tuesday, 18 December 2007 18:13 FC Girondins de Bordeaux have taken only one first-team regular to Greece for Wednesday's UEFA Cup Group H finale against Panionios GSS. Coach Laurent Blanc is using only defender David Jemmali from his usual lineup, relying instead on "my sons". Blanc wants "to give a first European experience" to his younger players. Bordeaux, the group leaders, have already qualified for the competition's round of 32.

ukchris
This is good news indeed. Please, please, please don't let us blow it. Whatever Bordeaux's team, we've got to go in there thinking this is going to be a really hard game, not that we can walk it. We won't get a better chance than this to make the last 32. ukchris
• The team finishing third in the section will be drawn against one of the group winners in the Round of 32, playing the home leg first. My mouth is watering at that particular prospect. Please let it happen!!

Genome
Almost a first goal for Panionios because of a sloppy handling of the ball of Bordeaux' keeper.

Genome
Panionios is applying the pressure from early on !!! Good! Lots of crosses and possession, which already resulted in one goal! Good first ten minutes!
Irlandos
I think a second goal is crucial at this time to really take the wind of out the sails of Bordeaux's seconds!
Irlandos
Btw, in the other game that interests us, Aris have already been subjected to 3 shots on goal in the first 10 minutes...
Genome
True. It looks like a very possible thing to do as well. Their number nine btw (Djebour unless I'm mistaking) is very impressive! Corner for Panionios ... a shot follows but the ball went over the bar.
