pash Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 So if I understand this correctly, the new stadium will be owned by PAE PAOK and not AS, but AS will get a board seat within the FC? Which for some reason I thought they had already? Wonder what all this means for financing (particularly our newest interloper); is this deal meant to just get them to sign off on transferring the rights to the grounds? Also, this part below seems like they're yadda yadda-ing what might be the most important part, right? 9) Εύρεση γηπέδου, το οποίο θα πληροί όλες τις απαιτούμενες προδιαγραφές κατά το διάστημα που θα μεσολαβήσει μέχρι την παράδοση της Νέας Τούμπας. Like it's gotta be Kaftanzolio, right? Even though you-know-who will try very hard to stop that.
Blackhawk Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 Actually it says here that it will belong to AS PAOK, who will form a Special Purpose Entity along with PAE PAOK, which will let PAE PAOK use the stadium for 49 years: Quote 4) Η Νέα Τούμπα θα ανήκει στον ΑΣ ΠΑΟΚ, ο οποίος θα καταρτίσει σύμβαση με εταιρεία ειδικού σκοπού, που θα συσταθεί μετά από υπόδειξη της ΠΑΕ ΠΑΟΚ και θα έχει ως αντικείμενο την ανέγερση και την μερική εκμετάλλευση του νέου γηπέδου για 49 χρόνια.
pash Posted August 1, 2025 Posted August 1, 2025 Two new posts on inPAOK about my favorite topic, Kaftanzoglio https://inpaok.com/870491/synantisi-pae-paok-vroutsi-me-fonto-to-kaftantzogleio/ https://inpaok.com/870501/to-schedio-tou-paok-gia-tin-anavathmisi-tou-kaftanzogleiou/ I am suspicious that we won't end up having a shot at this stadium but we'll see I guess.
pash Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 Perhaps another step closer? This is a lot of stuff to fix (and does the first bullet point imply structural problems?). https://inpaok.com/878464/idou-ta-erga-pou-tha-ginoun-sto-kaftanzogleio/ Posted the same day as this: https://inpaok.com/878474/egkrithike-epichorigisi-875-000-evro-gia-to-kaftatzogleio/
pash Posted October 16, 2025 Posted October 16, 2025 This stadium will never be built. https://inpaok.com/879138/nea-touba-epistoli-prosklisi-pae-se-as-paok/ It's also amazing how every time there's an update, it's always about some new delay about some new form or memorandum or meeting or whatever. Hopeless country.
Dutch Eagle Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 The first sentences of Bohemian Rhapsody (Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?) crossed my mind when I saw this: https://inpaok.com/883263/grafetai-istoria-episimi-i-symfonia-pae-as-paok-gia-ti-nea-touba/
pash Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 lmao haven't we had written agreement like five times now? when's the next memorandum due?
Blackhawk Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 This is a big step. AS PAOK and PAE PAOK agreeing to proceed and let Ivan Savvidis build the new stadium. The two parties actually need to sign the memorandum, which is supposed to happen in next two weeks. After that a company will be formed by PAE PAOK (majority shareholder) and AS PAOK that will be in charge of building the new stadium. Listening to the PAE PAOK press representative today, we can expect the new stadium to be ready in 2030-2031. If things go as planned PAOK will move to Kaftanzoglio Stadium in July 2026.
pash Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Some new news, which I still thought was old news? https://inpaok.com/887947/simantiki-exelixi-gia-to-kaftanzogleio-2/ A few things that stick out to me: Αντικατάσταση όλων των καθισμάτων <-- damn son how bad is this stadium if we need to replace every seat? or perhaps this is just us wanting them in the right color Καθολική Προσβασιμότητα <-- does that stadium...um...not have handicap accessibility features? I would have thought a government-owned building would be the first to do so
paokarag4 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I've been to Toumba once, in January of 2012 so pre Savvidis era and the seats then were attoricious. Tiny, uncomfortable and so many of them were broken. Foam cushions/pillows were being sold outside to make them half useable. Now I assume since then there have been some works done to repair and replace some of the seats but it doesn't surprise me in the slightest if most of the seats do indeed need replacing.
