Wow just WOW. Had to figure some m*****a would happen and the game would not be played/finished. Yes that guy is an idiot for throwing the paper (especially after everyone had thrown theirs) but the gavori were looking for any excuse to pack up and leave. But unfortunately one of our own gave them that excuse. (not gonna buy the person was planted there by olympiakos) What can you say? Perhaps the best thing is to get a fan ban and play the AEK match with no spectators. Having no fans did not slow us down earlier in the season. Hope Atromitos do us a big favour tomorrow. Jesus i still can't believe what transpired, only in Greece, only in our beloved Elladara........

Another start for him against Everton and a clean sheet in the 1-0 win. Gomes was fit again but Watford manager Gracia started Oresti again. Nice to see the fans backing him too https://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/orestis-karnezis-heurelho-gomes-who-1256030

Saw the game he did pretty well up against Mahrez. Nothing spectacular but first up he didn't look out of place won a few tackles. Let's see if he can string a run of games together. Game ended 1-1 after a Stoke goalkeeper error. Leicester hit the woodwork twice in the last 15 mins

oxxxx re athens, remind me of that night in Moscow!! how we didn't go through so many chances. And even their goal was extremely lucky after Kresic saved the penalty. Should have at least gone to extra time. Classic Greek club in Europe, great result/performance away. Qualification was lost at home

Is there any realistic way we get a points deduction for what happened in Giannina? Don't think i've heard of that happening in recent years but still this is greece Do we have anything to be worried about? @Blackhawk
-
Djalma trained with the squad and is good to go for Sunday. Pelkas only took part in some of full training, but they don't sound too worried about him missing the game
-
As blackhawk says, the next 4 weeks will determine our title challenge. I'm so pumped that we are in the title race this deep into the season (and leading it!) This is a huge game, AEK scares me more than olympiakos this season but in these games anything can happen. Hopefully our fans are on their best behaviour and the result is determined on the pitch within the 90 mins. It's a game like this that would surprise me if Lucescu starts Biseswar on the wing. I just think in a game like this where you are going to need your wingers tracking up and down the whole game he probably won't get the nod. Unless he was playing as a dekari (and we know he won't start over Pelkas) So my guess would be Mak on one wing and Djalma on the other, assuming he's fit of course.

being a bit generous there Bafra, I think we'll be deducted 33 points. Thus breaking another record, becoming the first team in the history of World football to go from league leaders to a relegation battle in the space of a week
-
Jesus Christ, only in Greece is this s%$#! an issue. It can never ever be just about football can it. I pray that nothing happens but I'm not holding my breath, I've followed Greek football too long to know it'll be a miracle if there is no incident. If something does happen hopefully it's far away from the stadium but even then, I'm sure there will be calls for bans and points deduction
-
Great to hear Biseswar played so well. If there is a way to have he and Pelka in the same 11 then it'll be a huge bonus. Probably not realistic in the derbies but no reason why they can't in games like today and next week. I like you banana might have to eat some humble pie the way things are going, I didn't think Lucescu could cut it at PAOK but he has proven me wrong. More than happy to continue to be proven wrong especially if it ends in a League title. On to Lamia, we haven't dropped points in this run of games. One more to go and then we have a big 4 weeks ahead of us which will make or break this season for us. But first take care of Lamia and then we move on to that

We have been drawn with Panionios for the semis. First leg will be away from home http://www.paokfc.gr/nea/20180211-panionios-imitelika-kupellou/

Glykos in the squad for the first time since his injury. Otherwise no surprises in the 18 man squad.

@pash I agree with you. Vierinha will be fine at attacking Larissa. What my issue is that it's not about playing Matos(or any player) until he burns out and turns in a poor performance. There needs to be foresight and better player management. Don't you think 2-0 up going into a 2nd leg playing a more defensive right back Crespo (not ideal but we are short of options at RB) makes sense? Give Matos a breather in a game where we have one foot in the Semis rather than risk dropping points in the title race. Regardless it doesn't matter, whatever the XI is come Monday it's another game we need to win if we are going to go on with this challenge, as you said pash!
-
You're right we should be okay. My issue is more, in a cup game where we had a 2-0 lead and were always gonna counter/ weren't gonna come up against a packed defence (as they were chasing the result) why not rest him then? If we can't hold that result without Matos then we aren't going to be Cup winners either We've become good at opening up packed backline's recently but I would feel much safer having Matos playing and having his presence from set pieces against Larissa who will park the bus and could make it tricky if we don't grab an early goal Can you tell I've been burnt a couple of times by these types of games?
-
Xalkias and Basinas played at Portsmouth a few years apart
-
Surely would have made more sense to rest Matos today in the cup game? I'd play him, we play monday night 3 days break, he only played an hour. Team needs him.
-
Here's a little interview he did on that night with Cosmote. Interesting he says his contract is up at the end of next season and they are yet to begin negotiating. I'd think Dortmund would offer him a new deal in the next few months https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqBMPkF0_u8

They've already churned out a statement about what happened with our fans at Giannina and how we aren't going to be punished. Trouble outside the stadium isn't a pitch invasion last time I checked, but hey im not sure Greek football has always been embarrassing with this sort of stuff. No one can just take a punishment, or admit they were beaten by a better team. There's always a conspiracy. We too have been guilty of that in the past. The difference is Olympiakos has 2 men who are A class liars and do mind stepping in front of the cameras and talking absolute pure s%$#!. It's honestly laughable at times the things that come out of Savvas mouth. Marinaki to a lesser extent but he spoke up after the AEK game and did make me giggle a little. They are so good at it, it honestly makes me think they believe the stuff they are saying
-
The goal he conceded wasn't from a penalty. Hazard's goal was a curler from outside the box. He made a good save on Giroud late in the game. That's 3 league games in a row he's started. Hopefully he holds his spot!
-
PAS pull one back 1-3 Hold on lads, this may get a little bumpy
-
agree bananas, I think playing left back has helped him settle and he's been able to find some rhythm. As you say in attack he's looking dangerous. The sooner Azevedo is ready the better, I think now that Vieirinha is finding some form he'll be dangerous back on the wing
-
Wow, 0-3 half time! Not thrilled about our first goal given it was offside but honestly we have been very good. We look far superior, have dominated the game and deserve the lead. Job isn't done need to keep going in the 2nd half and grab a few more goals, PAS have offered nothing and are falling apart
-
GOAL! PRIJO! making up for his earlier miss Varela with the drive down the wing and nice cross to grab the assist!
-
oxi re prijo.... he's finishing has dropped off. Ridiculous to say given his scoring record but he really needed to score there
-
He was offside... Can't wait for kurio savva theodoris reaction to that
