  1. Good to win even if we didn't play well. Nice to respond to the three league defeats with three wins heading into the Christmas break. We still aren't at our best, hopefully the results help our overall play improve. I hope heading into the new year Ingason becomes a nailed down starter, I was surprised he didn't start today.
  2. God Kosovo again we've played them 4 times for 1 win and 3 draws, I'd be expecting at least one more draw. I really don't think this will be straight forward, Northern Ireland will be tough. They aren't a big name but UK teams always run hard and are highly physical, something Greece don't excel in. They also had a similar record to us in WC qualifying, finishing with 9 points in a group that contained Italy and Switzerland (comparable to Spain and Sweden) and Bulgaria (comparable if not better than Kosovo/Georgia) and of course we know about our poor recent performances against Kosovo. Topping the group is the goal, but it's going to be tough and we'll need to be at our best. Format is interesting, first 4 games will be played between June 2-14th. It will serve as a mini-tournament, in terms of the team being together for a few weeks and having 4 games so close together. Good opportunity for the team gel and show us some good football. Of course we need a coach first.....
  3. Looking at his CV it isn't overly impressive, he last coached in Japan over a year ago. His career in Europe has been average, to put it kindly. His best stint was at Basel but that was 2009-2011. That doesn't mean he wouldn't be a better NT manager or he wouldn't click with the team, just the name doesn't inspire much confidence. Unfortunately that is the reality for the Ethniki, these are the types of names we will attract. Journeymen in the coaching world who have never really cut it at club level. Of course money solves this problem to a large extent, but we know the budget isn't enough to attract an accomplished manager.
  4. Looking at that picture from VAR, I'm not sure the player who they've given offside touched the ball? I'm not complaining we needed divine intervention to get a win on the board but I think Lamia have a reason to feel aggrieved. I'd need to the whole passage of play again though to be sure.
  5. Wow that's a pleasant surprise, massive let off there............
  6. This goal will stand if it's been given offside, player who crossed looked on.
  7. You're on the road 😍 2nd half just kicked off, let's get this W EDIT: Reading around, there's a report coming out of Romania that after this game Lucescu is going to quit and take over the Romanian National Team. I know reports came out awhile back that the Romanian Federation approached him and he apparently rejected them but I would hate for this current report to be true and for as to be searching for a new coach again...
  8. Just add 100 or kilograms (or 200 pounds for a more familiar unit) and how do you feel about being corrupt?
  9. My boy you have a problem, I hope we win 3-1 just so you can learn a lesson gambling is WRONG!!
  10. Taylor out for 4-6 weeks and El Kaddouri out for 6-8 weeks. El Kaddouri will be cutting it fine to be fit for the Conference League knock-out round, Taylor should well and truly be back by then.
  11. Voted Norwich's MVP, in their unfortunate 1-0 loss at home to Manchester United. They went down to a Ronaldo penalty.
  12. He's developing a knack for scoring cracking goals, another brilliant strike to give Stuttgart the lead against Wolfsburg. They went on to win the game 0-2, this goal was Mavropanos 4th in the Bundesliga this season.
  13. We are really thin at full-back with Rodrigo, Taylor and Vieirinha all missing. We desperately need Sidcley to stay fit with 4 games until the Christmas break. On the plus side we'll fine get a good look at Lyratzis, expect him to start almost everyone of the upcoming 4 matches.
  14. 2nd half was better than the first, still far from convincing. Was hoping we would play ourselves into some form but that didn't happen. Regardless we did what we had to do and have qualified for the knockout stage of a European competition for the first time in 5 years. Nice to have some European football to look forward to in the New Year.
  15. Some tricky opponents there, I think best draw for us would be Rapid Vienna or Fenerbache. Would like to avoid Marseille, Leicester and of course PSV
  16. Not confident an out of form PAOK can hit 5 past anyone atm. Hopefully we win and win well, there are no guarantees that Copenhagen will go all out against Slovan. I'm expecting they rotate and Slovan will get a result. I think we'll need to win by at least 3, but who knows it may not be enough. An early goal in the first 10 minutes would be massive for confidence.
  17. You would assume that Lucescu and George Savvidis have moved on from whatever issue they had in the past, otherwise it's unlikely Lucescu would've returned. If George does head back to Thessaloniki and take up some day-to-day role, it'll be interesting to see if the peace remains. I take all his cryptic Instagram posts to be more about transfers and players coming in during the January transfer window but we shall see. Ironically enough, IIRC that was their past issue. George started brining players who Razvan had not approved of and the straw that broke the camel's back was the decision to let both Canas and Shakhov leave.
  18. An aging team which has completely lost its confidence is what I put it down to. A win would do wonders for the teams confidence but the issue is how the heck are we going to get that win. We have had some good performances this season, so we know we are capable of much better. Next season a lot of the current team will have cleared out and our average age I suspect will drop. Regardless it is fair that we expect better results and performances as we should be beating Atromitos and Ionikos. I fear we aren't far away from a coaching change, which is never the way as has been discussed to death on this board. The saving grace maybe Lucescu's massive contract. I don't know how but we just need to qualify in Europe, the fans (actual fans not the organised ones) need something to look forward to. It will also help keep the howling media away, even if only for a few days...
  19. Looks like this game will go ahead as scheduled. Will be tough for us given our poor run of form, I'm not confident but hey our form has to turn at some stage!
  20. Started his first Premier League game in over 2 months today against Newcastle. He did some nice things, set up a good chance which was fluffed, as well as having a few attempts on goal. He was subbed off at half-time and reading around most Norwich fans seems to think he should have been given the 2nd half and the manager pulled the trigger too early.
  21. "Organised" fans are living in another decade. They have too much power and they think they are more important than they are. As for the on-field, our form has been patchy all season nowhere near enough consistency to compete for the title. The only way this season is salvaged IMO is by getting out of the group in the Conference League and hopefully progressing beyond the round of 32.
  22. Must win game. We know Aris lives to take points off us and they are always up for a dog fight. Them losing 5-0 last week I think will only motivate them more to get a result here. It will be a tough, physical game but I think we will come through with the 3 points.
  23. If those are the options, keep JVS.
