I've been a fan since just before the 2004 euros so quite a lot. I just can't recall the PKs against him except the costa rica game pasxalakis is very good at pks. he has a great acrobatic style. underrated.

I actually forgot to include Samaris in there. He did do 24 games for Benfica last season. Hopefully he gets more of a role and has some comradery with vlacho there

ooo vlacho is at benfica now I understand why people want him called up haha. Is Karnezis actually bad at pens or are we just using the costa rica pk shootout when he was injured to make that assertion?

Karnezis won starting spot as GK in one season over an established keeper. He's also better than Ospina/Contini when in form. He's also a class above any other greek keeper atm. Kapino unfairly got sent to reserves to Oly after a bad game vs. AEK. later to findout that Lazaros was the player of the season. He's probably our true second best keeper. Put on a remarkable performance vs. Belgium and still very young for a GK. Pasxalakis for the here in now is very in form and 27 is a baby for a GK.

Lyko over Bakakis? I understand he has more size so would be more solid on flank but Bakakis is on fire right now and is a proper RB while Lyko is a LB. I'd rather have Bakakis or Retsos at RB. Lyko as backup LB mayhaps why would we start vlacho for nations league? is karnezis injured? for once we actually have solid wingers in donis and lazaros but inherited a new cm problem lol.

bakasetas plays very well for AEK and is a key player but he's best as a CF and I'd rather have fortounis or mantalos as CAM than baka. do we need vlacho though? pasxalakis seems more promising and we also got karnezis and gianniotis too as well. I doubt vlacho would get chosen for germany they're so gifted in the GK spot. panathinaikos is a mid table greek team now. they're no longer top 4 and may never be top 4 again after the financial issues it suffered and ban from uefa competition.

nice game. livaja reminds me of a young mitroglou oikonomou a warrior out there. bakakis has flair and def should be NT's right back Celtic underestimated AEK. Why didn't Mantalos start?

we need Samaris to get his form back. The 5-6 games I saw of tachtsidis he was good for Oly. Samaris and Zeca in form would be the ideal for next 2 years.

to be fair I think both were playing a man down for huge chunks and went down swinging really close legs like 4-3/2-3 aggregates

Pelkas plays fantastic at LM. he's good at cutting in and is as close to double footed as you can get in. got a motm in the greek cup semi final playing there too 2017 4-0 win vs. pao

i dont recall anyone wanted karagounis out. katsouranis was on the decline tho and is similar to the current tziolis situation. kats playing in india wasnt he? lol

hate it or love but tzavellas steps it up for the NT and he was very good when he was at PAOK. he gets undue hate imo and gave us some stability on the left when stafy was a question mark frustrating belgium (to the point mertens tried to bully him) fk goal vs montegro (we have been sucking at friendlies so good points) the equalizer volley vs bosnia to get us into the playoffs 1-1

Tzavellas is still decent for squad depth imo. CB/LB great crosser/fk's and focused. Maniatis was basically what Zeca is now but lost a gear or two so we need to move on

I think he is. I recall 2016 for Benfica they even slotted him at CB and got MOTM in the knockout rounds. He might go back to oly too in which oly will become the haven for the NT now. They realized that foreigners will not bleed for the shirt as often as Greeks will. eg) duds like Seba

gala is pretty small though. Ideally Samaris gets his form back and I think Kourbelis is more for 'in the now'. He's quite strong and can also play cb. also has good chem with zeca

Lazaros was the best player of superleague last season. That's NT material. Always said Fortounis is our best CAM when in form and looks like he got his form back so far this preseason has looked great. Gala is our most promising prospect in the CM position by far, is he ready for the 11? Not sure.

lazaros with 2 goals for oly with europa. not only is he not injured but seems his superstar form is still in tact. things are shaping up nicely for nations league :)

I think klona got a bit lucky there.. he's pretty terrible lol if he has a good season I'll eat my words but I doubt it. might as well have pelkas at rw or lw as he's pretty good there as well.

Pelkas with a winner coming back 2-0 to win 3-2. limnios also with a goal. pasxalakis with a penalty save. pelkas also nearly making it 4-2. hard away game coming.
