There are 2 possibilities : Either the Visma is strong with these players , Maniatis and Tziolis, or they really have some attributes that are needed from Skibbe and they provide good service which cannot be seen - Like Sergio Busquets of Barcelona. Remember that Vydra was not only a solid player of the National Team. He was also a solid starter of Panathinaikos with many coaches. A little research shows thant Loukas Vyntra was at Pao in the 2004-2013 period with 230 official matches. In that period Pao changed ~ 10 managers. Your other options are Tachtsidis Maniatis Tziolis and Samaris. Samaris is injured. What happens if Tachtsidis gets 24/7 benched or injued as well? You re left with 2 inactive players. And what happens when these players start and we lose? You come in this forum and cry about these players being part of the NT. He fits in perfectly.

You weren't saying this about chances our team made against Finland. You weren't saying this about chances our team made against Hungary when we drew. You weren't saying this about the chances our team made against Costa Rica and Faroe Islands. We dominated all 5 games i previously mentioned. Winning Finland away while we dominated Faroe Islands twice and Hungary out would igve us extra 10 points. But we only talk about chances created when it's against us?? Even in our bad era we were dominating the other teams. We just didn't get results. The game against Gibraltar can't be acriteria for our defence. The game against netherlands can. One single defensive mistake that lead to goal. Their rest shots were from afar. You could see the team hunting goals against Gibraltar. You could see we were playing with 2-3 defensive players all just trying to pass the ball fast to the opposition to score more. The Gibraltar team had 2 chances in the whole game. We are not suited for such a game style, aka hunting goals so that's why the defence didn't look as dominant.

Kone played as a starter. Tachtsidis played 2nd half against Juve (they only conceded once while he played so can't figure if he played bad/well). They were both not playing before the matches with Ned/Gibraltar so I guess that's why SKibbe didnt call em up. Right now , I can't think of anyone else (maybe Siopis but we gotta see the team without Ouzounidis Influence , bcz his coaching is still with the team right now), so I expect them both to get called. And I hope Maniatis Tziolis, or at least one of them don't. Don't get me wrong however. I rate Maniatis, but why call sm1 who hasn't played for months.

I think Kone and Tachtsidis will make their appearance in the qualifiers, following Maniatis/Tziolis not having a team and Mantalos ineligibility. Both have had games under their feet the last month.

And its probably up to his team weather he will be used from the NT or not. a team wouldnt want its player to be injured further at a match for hte NT, and the risk is big since I expect the cypriots to play tough here in Athens. Good call for Aek.

Ι actually sorta agree with georgelaz. Our Forwards , Mitroglou, Mantalos Fortounis have reached a good time in their career and made a good step up, and havent became a nothing like our previous "ELLHNAS MESSI". Defense has always been sort of world class, but we conceded in Gibraltar. Can't make assumptions from that match though since they were all pressing too high and some midfield mistakes lead to 2 good highlights for the Gibraltar team. We can't hit any lower in my opinion, so we can only see them improve. Im not aware if we can reach the WC but a play off spot would be quite lovely since we have the material and Bosnia has the chance to ruin it.
