  1. Great game, proves that PAO has a really good team this year! Want to take my son to a game, what's the best way to get tickets? Live in the states.
  2. Read the interviews after the match, the English side were painting AEK as being opportunistic and that they deserved more. Didn't see the match but did see the extended highlights (around 15 minutes). AEK played well, took their chances and deserved those goals. The other side scored two penalties (one which was soft) and their only real opportunities came at the end.
  3. If we are tied on HTH (we split our matches against each other), what is the next tie breaker?
  4. Let's say we beat the Netherlands and we both end up with the same points, what is the tie breaker?
  5. This was bound to happen, most of us have been disappointed on some (not all) of the call-ups but were proven wrong. Today, we were proven right. It's not the loss that hurts, it's how we lost.
  6. Rota is not a good option back there, Baldock getting injured reminded us that the RB position was a big issue before him.
  7. Was there a penalty called for Hearts and then taken back as well?
  8. Medicals cleared - Leonidas Stergiou joined Stuttgart as his replacement (21 year old Greek/Swiss CB).
  9. AEK are through on 2 extra time goals!!! There's still hope for two group stage Greek teams!!
  10. Every year, they get knocked out early...
  11. Wasn't PAOK on the verge of bankruptcy before Savidis came in? I believe he was the only investor willing to put in so much of his money into them back then. If I remember correctly, he cleaned up all the debt, invested in the academies and even bought some players in the beginning.
  12. what a terrible showing - what happened to the defense???
  13. 8 goals in two games will never cut it..
  14. Founds the highlights - It seems that our U19 team has talent, most of their goals were scored off our mistakes.
  15. Was the comeback us taking it to them or them just sitting on a 5-0 lead...
  16. The WC qualifiers we had a few years back with Skibbe was also promising, until he got the line-up wrong against Croatia.
  17. I think part of it was the ref giving it back for not calling the prior penalties. A few points: 1 - There were potentially 3 penalties that could have been called. The one that was, was a penalty. The retake was suspect. 2 - The red card was a red card. Even if it wasn't a red card, it would have been a yellow which would have been a red card. 3 - Our defense was good - we did make a few mistakes but overall, France was relying on penalty calls to score. Think about that, a team which pummeled the Netherlands 4-0 had to rely on penalty calls to score on us. That's pretty impressive. And by the way, we played with 10 men.
  18. The take one the game from international press (not the FOX commentators) is mostly positive.. "Greece had won seven of their previous eight competitive fixtures, losing only one – and you could see why" Full-time verdict: How many times have we seen this? France are not at their fluid best but still find a way to win. They could have made it easier for themselves with some more clinical finishing, but credit to Greece who made it very difficult for the hosts, even when they were down to ten men in the closing stages. With four wins from four, Deschamps' men are now six points clear at the top of the group. UEFA EURO 2024 is a big step closer for Les Bleus.
  19. This group plays hard. Could have the score been more lopsided, maybe. They had their chances but overall, being a man down away in Paris, they did fine especially since the only goal they conceded was a penalty retake. One thing that is for sure, Vlacho is our number one for the duration!!
