  1. Paschalakis conceeded his first goal as PAOKtzis :-(
  2. The 3,000 PAOKtzides in Zosimades are shouting: Etsi ke sosto. Kypello kai protathlima sto Pirgo to Leuko!
  3. Pelkas is available again. Here are the players Lucescu has selected for this crucial game: Ρέι ,
  4. Shakhov will miss the game against Lamia. Lucescu want him to sit out his suspension in this game.
  5. Siovas scored the equalizer against Sevilla in the semi first leg of the Copa del Rey. FT 1-1. Second leg next week.
  6. Oly 1-1. We are leaders of the SL!!!!
  7. The 18 chosen ones are: Ρέι ,
  8. Back to topic now: PAOK is interested in Carlos Sanchez from Fiorentina. Can not rate him. Played at WC 2014, including the game against Greece. 73 caps. But he turns 32 next week.
  9. I think that it all starts with attendance. Our youngsters need to see full stadiums to get excited and start to play and watch football. Empty stadiums are awful. I do not enjoy watching a game when the stands are empty and as a PAOKtzi I’m used to see keklismenon thiron. Players perform better with than without a crowd. Of course TV-revenues are important but Greece (like The Netherlands) is a small fish. They are not England or Spain, the big fishes. Every club in England in the Premier League has about 80 million euro TV-revenues a year. In Greece all SL-clubs together do not make those figures. So the League will not grow. Fanbase or not. As for the trophys. A lousy cup indeed. We were not good enough. No club should carry or dominate a league. They all (a bunch of 5 will do) should. Every year another champion is better for a league. Including a surprise like Leicester City recent in England or far far back Larisa in Greece.
  10. jvc, desperate times call for desperate measures. PAO has only 8K on average (a fanbase does not pay your bills, sold tickets do). And you had your homegames against Oly (13,7K) and AEK (8,7K) already. Can we go lower or is a forced stay of PAO in SL the solution? Schotland may be a good example for the league. Rangers had gone bankrupt. The league asked the other clubs to permit them to re-enter, with another legal entity with the word Rangers in it, on the same/highest tier but they refused dispite the fact they would loose money (= no fanbase of Rangers, but 20 diehard-fans from Partick Thisle or whatever minor club). Those left behind survived! AEK is the other example. They went down and returned all freshened up. AEK as a club/brand survived! It took then some years, but OK. The sacrifice had to be made. PAOK will survive with only 2 from the 3 other big clubs. See the AEK-less years. It is the likes of Kerkyra, Panetolikos, Veria (not in SL now though) and Xanthi that need the big 4. Not only for TV-revenues, but also for tickets. In Kerkyra they sold 1,641 tickets. 1,000 to PAOKtzides (pou kanane chiliometra pali). Agrinio will be like a funural of a dead person without friends and just a few relatives this week as no PAOKtzides are allowed.
  11. Biseswar did not train today. Problems στο ισχίο (do not know the English word). Other main absent is our kerkida. The Ministry of Sport ordered that PAOK fans are not allowed to travel to Agrinio.
  12. It is getting worse and worse. Look at these figures. https://epfl-europeanleagues.com/wp-content/uploads/FINAL-EPFL_FA_18-VERSION-2018.01.12.pdf
  13. Clean sheets. Paschalakis now has 9 games = 810 minutes. All time record is 1,816 minutes by some Brazilian keeper. Great names like Van der Sar are on the list. All mentioned have 10+ games without conceeding a goal.
  14. Well, I’m saying it since December 17th (General News & Discussion). I’m surprised that the Greek sites and papers have not mentioned it yet. To be honest: I’m curious what our record and who our recordholder is on this matter. Not only clean sheets in a row, but also from starting at a/the club, and for Greece/Greek keepers in general. Internet did not help me out so far. But found this interesting site: http://xtrahistory.blogspot.nl/2014/04/Record-Statistics.html
  15. Saw the goals. First offside (I guess the takounaki fooled the ref and linesman) but agree with Bananas: all Vieirinha. Second good steal by Campos. Paschaliakis 9 games for us and 9 clean sheets.
  16. 2-0. Good result. Did we play well? (Was not able to watch the game)
  17. Line up: Paschalakis, Matos, Varela, Malezas, Vieirinha, Cimirot, Shakov, Limnios, Pelkas, Mak and Koulouris (sorry Christo!). Subs: Siabanis, Crespo, Azevedo, Cañas, EL Kaddouri, Campos, Prijovic.
  18. There are two ways to reach the EURO 2020: UEFA Nations League: all you need to know (from http://www.uefa.com/uefanationsleague/news/newsid=2079553.html#/): League C Pot 1: Hungary, Romania, Scotland, Slovenia Pot 2: Greece, Serbia, Albania, Norway Pot 3: Montenegro, Israel, Bulgaria, Finland Pot 4: Cyprus, Estonia, Lithuania Teams will be split into one group of three (containing teams from Pots 1, 2 and 3 only) and three groups of four. Due to winter venue restrictions, a group can contain a maximum of two of these teams: Norway, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania. The four group winners are promoted to League B, with the four sides that finish bottom relegated to League D for the 2020 edition. The top four ranked teams that do not qualify for UEFA EURO 2020 will enter a play-off in March 2020, with one finals place on offer.
