What I am disappointed in is that we are playing against our "parartima" and the coach still fields a defensive minded lineup instead of going full offense.
The big surprise is Koulouris starting instead of Prijovic. Stupid move by Lucescu IMHO. Prijovic has been scoring non-stop at Toumba. It's in the away games that he has a problem. Instead of throwing two offensive minded players to replace him, he replaces him with a "Klaus" wannabe: Koulouris. Also Vierinha as LB is questionable as well. Don't like what I see. At least he did not start Shakhov.
You can add Athanasia Perra (Triple Jump) to the list of doped athletes. She was banned for 4 years (until 2021) after her 2009 sample was re-tested with new methods and it appears that she used a banned substance. Since she was already warned in 2002 by IAAF, the punishment was for 4 years instead of the customary 2 years.
Probably not until next year. The plan is to sign the agreement to use Kaftanzoglio sometimes in May of 2018.
I think all the timing depends on the acquisition of all the permits from the national and local authorities.
The problem is that on the same day and same hour, there is a 3rd division game scheduled at the same stadium (Iraklis - against some team I can't remember). Something's gotta give. The grannies are already complaining that it was done on purpose.
Just play the freaking game at Toumba!
Siabanis (our goalkeeper) scored the tying goal against Russia in Iraklio in the qualifying game for the U19 Euro. He converted on a penalty kick. Greece went on to win 2:1 and qualify to the Elite Round of the Euro. Here is a video of the Siabanis penalty kick:
The U19 NT qualified to the Elite round of the UEFA U19 Euro after defeating Russia 2:1 in Iraklio. The winning goal scored by Emmanoulidis. Earlier PAOK goaltender Siabanis tied the game with a penalty kick. In order to qualify we had to defeat Russia, since we lost the opening game to Romania 1:2. In the second game we defeated Gibraltar 5:0.
The game against Aiginiakos was scheduled for November 29 at 15:00 EET at Katerini, but it's very likely it will not be played as the Aiginiakos owner went on radio today saying he is done and will fold the team and withdraw from the Football League. Remains to be seen if he does it before the cup game against us, or will wait to get the revenue from that game first.
1:1 draw with Croatia at Toumba today. Both teams remain unbeaten and level on points. Missed a big chance to take the lead in the group. Will be tough to beat them in Croatia.
Croatians missed a penalty. We went ahead with a Manthatis goal, but conceded the tying goal after a serious mistake by our keeper.
We have no hope at all. I would start the rebuilding process in this game, but we all know this will not happen. Instead I hope this will be a farewell game for some of the players (Tziolis, Maniatis, etc.), and the coach.
