I still believe only Stefanidi will medal, and I am not sure it will be gold. Her 4.83 m is only 4th best this year and we now have the Russian in the competition making things even more complicated. I give Filippidis sligh chance of cracking the top 3 but it will be very difficult. He will need to jump really well (over 5.90 m). Papachristou will also need to beat her best jump theis year (14.23 m) in order to finish in the top 5. As for the others I give Tentoglou and Karalis a slight chance to make the finals.

Incidentally today Garcia posted something on twitter that what happened at Toumba is no good for Greek soccer and that it punishes both teams, etc. Minutes later that post was deleted and his Twitter account was closed. Mark my words, he is counting days at Olympiakos.

There are a lot of issues that will need to be sorted out by the courts, and that will take time. I am sure there is other material that both teams have that are net being made public. There has to be video from stadium cameras that exists and that will clearly show he was not even hit by the paper. If PAOK can clearly show with evidence that he was not hit in the face by the paper, they should also sue him and Karapapas/Theodoridis in the courts for fabricating a fake accident. If we can do that I can see Garcia coming out spilling the beans that he was forced into it by Olympiakos officials.

AEK came out and asked the Undersecretary of Sports to suspend the Superleague season until all legal cases dealing with team punishments are closed and final. Sounds like to me they want to rest their players for their remaining games.

The Chinese offer apparently came on Sunday afternoon just hours before the game with Olympiakos. They offered 7 million Euro to PAOK and a 4-year deal to Prijovic worth 4 million per season. PAOK turned it down and immediately renegotiated the current contract with the player offering him more money (1.5 mil per season) and extending his contract until 2022.

More and more videos are surfacing on the net with the incident. After seeing this one I doubt the paper even hit his head. Looks like it hit his shoulder.

Hopefully PAOK players are focused on their game and not on what is happening outside the pitch. Now that they are rested they should go to Athens and secure the qualification to the cup final.
-
That's right. As long as we win all of our remaining 7 games we will be champions. There is also the possibility that AEK will drop points along the way as well. Nothing is over yet. Warda's tying goal might prove to be a golden goal for us.

There are a lot of issues that will have to be sorted out by the courts. Hope PAOK retains some good lawyers because this case will take a while to be sorted out.
-
Apparently the match doctor said there was nothing wrong with Garcia. The problem is that the ref did not start the game. And who would expect a member of Gate7 to do so.
-
We are going to lose the game on paper. We will be deducted 3 points. We will be fined 30-80K We will play 1-3 games without fans
-
It' over. This is exactly what Olympiakos and AEK were hoping to happen in this game.
-
You guys realize we just lost the game and the title right.
-
And here are the point deductions and a forfeited game.
-
The reason is that now we have people at EPO that care about the national team and Greek football in general. The previous leadership was there to just make money for themselves and to serve their master.

PAOK will end up at number 48 in the UEFA rankings ahead of next season. It's a drop from number 44, which can be directly blamed on our early exit from the Europa League this season. 13/14 - 14/15 - 15/16 - 16/17 - 17/18 48. PAOK THESSALONIKI 29.500 points (9.00 - 5.00 - 6.00 - 8.00 - 1.50) It very important we do well in the next season as we will lose the good 13/14 season points (9.00). The top 60:

Too much yellow color for my taste.
-
Athens, AEK missed even a bigger chance to score in the 1st half. Too bad, they could have advanced.
-
No need to change it unless you really want to. I just wanted to know if there some short nickname you would prefer when we address you in our posts, because it will be time consuming typing DunfermlineAthleticPAOK. Enjoy the game on Sunday and bring us a victory.

AEK is tied with D. Kiiv 0:0 in the 60th minute in Europa League. With that score they are eliminated. I hope this ends in 1:1 tie, extra time and penalty shootout with AEK winning of course. The other option is for AEK just to win and continue in the competition.

The Oly appeal at EPO concerning their 3 point deduction was postponed to March 1. The excuse was that the Oly lawyer was busy at the SL hearing concerning PAOK and what ever happened at the Giannina - PAOK game. Subsequently that case was also postponed after Oly requested a detailed report on the damages to the Ginnina stadium, so the charges could be elevated to include points deduction. It will now be heard on March 15th. You realize this is all part of a Oly witch hunt against PAOK to influence Sunday's game and the title race.

I think the fans will behave themselves for the most part. What worries me is that Olympiakos players/officials/referees will try to instigate our fans in order to do something stupid. If I was PAE PAOK I would have a camera taping the Olympiakos bench for the full 90 minutes, and also heavy security specially near Gate 4. Another worrying sign is that they assigned the past Gate7 member Aretopoulos to call the game.

This incident has "Melissanidis" written all over. Those are the gangster tactics he used back in the 90's when he was running AEK. Let's not forget who is AEK playing on Monday. Apparently PAOK will provide him with security from now on.
