3rd time is the charm.

Marseille got destroyed by Atletico Madrid in the final of Europa League, which means we will be unseeded in the 2nd Qualifying Round of Champions League. Leovac is gone. We might even make some money if his Croatian team wants him so badly. Giannoulis has one more year loan deal with Atromitos, but we can break it with a 80K option. I think Azevedo is a good player, but did not really get much of a chance to prove himself. He only played in 4 SL games coming in as a sub. He also played in 3 cup games. As far as I know his contract with Shakhtar expired, so he is free to sign with anybody. We would not have to buy him. Leveque bye bye.

Apparently we will play 3 games during our first stay in Holland, and 3 game during our second stay. I think the first 3 will be against brew pub teams and the last 3 against real teams.

Four PAOK players played in the disaster against Saudi Arabia today. Giannoulis, Limnios and Pelkas started the game. Giannoulis got red-carded in the first half. Limnios played for 45 minutes and Pelkas for 60 minutes. Koulouris came in the 60th minute and hit the post late in the game when the score was 1:0.

According to preliminary reports the pre-season training session will consist of two part. The first part will take place between June 22 - July 3 in Horst, Holland. The team will return to Thessaloniki for few days before returning to Holland and in particular to Oostenbeek for the second part which will take place between July 6 - July 15. Our first official game will be on July 24/25 in the 2nd Qualifying Round of Champions League.

Somewhere I read that there will be two training camps. Both in Holland. The team will return to Thessaloniki after the first one and then one week later will travel back to Holland for the second one.

In all the Greek Cup excitement we should also note that our U20 team won the Superleague Championship. We finished 4 points ahead of Panathinaikos and 7 points ahead of Olympiakos. Job well done by the youngsters and Pablo Garcia.

With our luck it will be Ajax.

For Olympiakos to be signing the brick layer they must have set their goals real low for next season. I would not want him at PAOK. Not only because of his past, but also he is not such a good player. He can hardly play a full 90 minutes. I don't think he will serve his full contract at Olympiakos

Mak staying at PAOK depends on Zenit. if they want to unload him and PAOK can get him cheap he will stay. Savvidis likes him. If that happens I see Henrique being sold. We will also need to clean up the goalie situation. If we get Zivkovic from Xanthi, then Rey and Glykos are gone. Our goalie trio should be Paschalakis, Zivkovic, Siabanis. As far as players such as Moulen, El Kaddouri, Mauricio, I expect them to have a much better upcoming season. Finally I think we need to clean up all the various loans. Somewhre I read that we have over 20 loaned players. Players such as Sabo, Jairo, Chatziisaia, Kitsiou, Kace, Leovac, really have no chance of making the top squad.

Being seeded in QR2 now depends on Marseille winning Europa League. if Atletico wins EL there will be only 4 teams in QR2 with Alax and Basel seeded, and PAOK and Sturm Graz unseeded.

Guys enjoy the game. Unfortunately I will probably not be able to see it live as I will be driving to Pittsburgh. Dimitriou is very talented CB, but he refused to sign a contract extension with PAOK. His agent is Aggelopoulos, the same guy who destroyed the career of Tzandaris.

Don't want Ajax. We have hard time eliminating any Dutch team in Europe historically.

That's not 100% true as we still a chance that there will be 6 teams in NCQ2. It all depends on Marseille. They need to win Europa League and then finish 4th in the French League.

And on top of that the Greek refs are planning on making an announcement against this decision. What is shameful is that these referees still consider themselves worthy of calling a football game. They have no balls to properly apply the rules of the game and write a proper match report, and they still come out and complain. Serves them right.The only good thing this move might accomplish is to put the Greek refs on notice. As for calling a fair game on Saturday by this ref, I would not really count on it. Reports are that this will be his last game as a ref before retiring. He has nothing to lose. Let's not forget who is bringing this ref in. It's UEFA assigned ref supervisor Pereyra. Back in February Melissanidis visited Pereyra for couple hours for a "little talk" and we know the results afterwards (Aretopoulos, Kominis). There are moves behind the scenes that don't see the light of day. it will be be very tough for PAOK at OAKA on Saturday. I don't see this ending well. Hope I am wrong.
