You two realize that we expect to see pictures from the festivities.

You are right Yianko. Atromitos should be the example for other teams. They play to win all the games no matter of the opponent. If you don't thinks so then your are not watching any of their games. On the other hand we have Panionios with rich history as does Atromitos, but everyone knows that they are basically the puppets of Olympiakos, and now that they secured another season in Superleague they will help other puppets to save themselves. For that reason I believe that the team that will be relegated is Giannina and the team that will play probably Platanias in the playoff will be OFI unloess they somehow manage to relegate Xanthi.
-
There is also a chance Tottenham can deny us the 3rd qualifying round if they win the CL and then don't finish in top 4 of the Premier League.
-
For people that did not get tickets the best bet is to go directly to White Tower, where the festivities will continue throughout the night. There are also plans to have giant TV screens installed at White Tower that will be showing the game. Let's just hope that by any miracle we don''t lose the game.

Too bad OPEN is not available outside of Greece. I am sure PAOK TV will carry the fiesta as well.
-
I like the OFI stadium but you are right their pitch could use improvements. Personally I prefer Tripoli but their last game is a friendly against Panionios.

Interesting situation as far as relegation is concerned with two rounds of soccer remaining. If we assume (things can change in Greece at the last minute) that 3 teams drop directly and the fourth plays a playoff game with the second team from the Football League, two teams are mathematically already relegated: Apollon Smyrnis and Levadeiakos. The battle in the next two rounds will be between these teams: 10. Larisa 31 points 11. Xanthi 29 12. Tripoli 29 13. OFI 28 (playoff series with 2nd team from Football League) 14. PAS Giannina 27 (direct relegation) Unfortunately it looks like it will be PAS Giannina that will be relegated directly. I also believe that OFI will be saved thanks to their vote in Superleague for the new president and their surprised win away at Panathinaikos, which was part of the overall plan. Remaining games for th eteams involved: ROUND 29 AEK - Larisa Xanthi - Apollon OFI - Tripoli Panionios - PAS Giannina ROUND 30 Larisa - Olympiakos Tripoli - Panionios Aris - Xanthi Atromitos - OFI PAS Giannina - PAOK

Now that we almost secured the Greek Championship (barring any last minute point deductions) let's look ahead to our participation in the 2019-2020 European competitions. PAOK will play in the Champions League qualifying rounds via the Champions route. PAOK enters the competition with 23.500, which is a drop in points from previous seasons thanks to our poor European performances in the past two seasons. PAOK will enter the competition either in 2nd Qualifying Round or 3rd Qualifying Round. It all depends on who wins the current Champions League competition. In order to enter the competition in 3rd Qualifying Round we need the winner of the Champions League to be a team that will also gain a CL group stage spot for next season through their home championship. As things stand it looks like the only way for us to start in the 2nd Qualifying Round is if Ajax Amsterdam wins the Champions League because Dutch champions don't get a direct spot in the group stage of CL. In any case PAOK will most likely be unseeded in all the draws in the qualifying rounds.

MEGA Cosmos in North America
Blackhawk replied to HellasHab's topic in TV, Radio, Video, Gaming & Media
Starting today MEGA Cosmos is no longer available on Dishnetwork or any other provider in the US. -
What does that supposed to mean?
-
It's not the sports minister that wants this. It's novasport and ERT the two TV companies that show Superleague games that set the number of games.
-
You know we want to see pics with your Kilt at the festive Toumba.
-
From what I hear about the Varela negotiations it's not the player that is the problem. It is the agent that wants an enormous signing bonus. Vafrela basically agreed to a 1.1 mil + bonuses, but PAOK will not sign the new contract if the agent does not drop his demands.

Well the person with the crazy playoff idea was elected the new president of Superleague today. Alyssandrou (AEK) defeated the PAOK candidate Makis Gagatsis 8:6. Basically the 3 big Athens teams joined hands together (POK lives and never dies!) to defeat Gagatsis. With the help with some of their puppet teams the were able to get the 8:6 win. POK and puppet teams voting for Alyssandrou: Olympiakos AEK Panathinaikos Aris Panionios Lamia OFI Apollon Teams voting for Gagatsis: PAOK AO Xanthi Atromitos Panaitolikos AE Larisa Levadeiakos Abstaining from voting PAS Giannina Asteras Tripoli

Vieirinha will lose 8 months. That means he will be available for the second half of the next season (November/December return). And even then he will not be the same player he used to be. I expect that to be his last season with PAOK as a player. This drastically changes the next season transfer strategy.
-
Not only that. 99% of Tripolitsiotes in Chicago support either AEK and Olympiakos.
-
Karelis almost won the game for us.
-
1:1 final score. Still unbeaten.
-
Karelia in.
-
Jaba in for Oliveira.
-
Swiderski so close. Got to put Jaba in.
