Yesterday EPO officially postponed the AEK - PAOK game after AEK pressed them to do so. Today Olympiakos used their friends at the government to have their own cup game against Panaitolikos postponed even after EPO refused to have the game postponed since there were no issues with snow at Karaiskaki stadium. Only poor Aris has to go out to Lamia and play tomorrow.

That's too bad. AEK will be missing several players if the game is played Wednesday. I am pretty sure they are pushing hard to have the game postponed using the little snow as an excuse. It would be in PAOK's best interest for the game to be played as scheduled.

Swiderski will sign 4-year contract with Charlotte for around 1.4 mil per season which is a big raise compared to what PAOK paid him. My prediction is that Swiderski will stay at Charlotte for maybe 1 to 2 seasons and then return to Europe and sign a team in Italy or Germany. I think for PAOK it's a great deal. We pocket 5 mil and our initial 2.5 mil investment for the player paid off nicely. While at PAOK he could never become our no.1 striker. The question now is if we will bring in a replacement that's better than Swiderski. If not now, than during the summer transfer period. It remains to be seen, but I don't think Colak will really make an impact.

Considering the clear cut chances AEK had to score I am happy with the tie in the end. We just don't have any clue on what to do in the offensive zone when the other team parks the bus. The lack of speed on our team is our biggest problem. Having said that we are still in the game to progress to the semifinal. All we need now to do is score in Athens next week and all the pressure will be on AEK.

At this point I would be happy with a 0:0 tie. We could easily be losing 5:0 up to this point.
