  1. Guys guys, I've got it. Hear me out. We cover the field with cardboard, choose the best dancers on the squad, and do 90-minute break-dance fights instead. I have a feeling Holebas will have the edge on this one. Might be a good opportunity to bring back Katsouranis too, but I feel he might get confused and dance the tsifteteli instead.
  2. It's actually my cousin Mitso. He's walking on very tiny stilts.
  3. I would definitely put him in as a sub. Tudor seems kind of unpredictable - I would have thought we'd see Klaus get a few minutes in one of the last games, but he has yet to make his debut this season. I hope the same doesn't happen with Berbatov; we need both of these guys out there and working as soon as possible.
  4. IS expected, or ISN'T expected?
  5. Much funnier than three bros dancing with each other:

    Magath? Are you kidding me?
  7. I've only been to Toumba once, and it was not for a game - it was late July in I think 2011. I was visiting my cousin who was attending school in Larissa, and we took the bus up to Thessaloniki before going to his horio. He more or less took me on a walking tour of the city (most of my family seems very unwilling to visit the city, so I take what I can get), which was great. We took the bus up to Toumba, wandered that road for a while (and visited what he insisted was a famous gyradiko, which I think is now out of business), and then made our way to the stadium itself. I remember thinking it looked like a war zone. We walked to the main entrance, which was locked up, but we then went to one of the smaller ones which had some hooligan-looking types (doubtlessly employees) kind of...lounging about? Anyway, they looked at us suspiciously, my cousin said he just wanted to show his paoktzi cousin from America the stadium for the first time in his LIFE, and they basically let us wander around for as long as we wanted. I remembered thinking how wildly different it was inside than out (in terms of cleanliness vs its exterior appearance) - this was before they really started posting those close-up videos on youtube, so almost all of the pictures I had seen of the empty stands were photo ops or from a distance. Anyway, after we got our fill of pictures, we went to the store, which I believe had just been renovated, and I bought some shorts or something similar. I've noticed that staff in clothing stores in Greece (at least when I go) seem to be way too interested in getting too-close and too-personal when you're trying stuff on in the dressing rooms. Or maybe it's just my taut, rippling muscles? Either way, I wish it wasn't dudes who did this. Long story short, I think I got molested.
  8. Yes, that is definitely a great story, I hope he's all right now. I've heard the same about the families needing to be the nurses, too. -edit- also, that is a hell of an adorable baby Great topic Dutch Eagle. Can I get you on retainer in case I need a lawyer for the next time I cause an "incident?"
  9. Agreed, if anything Sokratis should be hearing this more often. That wasn't a good Slovakian team - they are riddled with injuries and did their very best to take themselves out of the game. Mak (their only offensive threat) gone at halftime, more negative moves with the other subs. It's clear they were fine with losing, and wanted to save themselves for their next opponents (Ukraine?).
  10. Tuned in to the Spain-Slovakia match right when the second half started. Mak was apparently subbed out at the half. The commentators are saying it's unknown if he has an injury, but he was their biggest attacking threat (and seems to have missed a sitter, which is no surprise). It would be awful for us if he actually got injured. Sabo not playing.
  11. That silly lung usually overpowers his serious spleen.
  12. Our coaches are terrified of playing with fewer than two DMs, so I doubt we'd see such a setup in the midfield. There are plenty of technical players out there; the issue is getting them on the field. Of course, right now, they'd look even worse, since our next generation has essentially never played together before. Just like our current generation. I just hope that these next matches are treated as serious attempts to try out new things, instead of regressing back to the normal trash we see.
  13. Even if Kitsiou spoke Russian and had never seen a soccer ball, he'd probably still have made a better impact than Vyntra.
  14. I'm glad Manolas isn't starting. About time they stop rewarding his shitty performances. Vyntra is an awful choice, though.
  15. Lineup: Karnezis, Vyntra, Papadopoulos, Papastathopoulos, Holebas, Tziolis, Fortounis, Aravidis, Samaris, Mitroglou, Karelis
  16. If we were to make it to the knockouts, he could be added to the list. It was mentioned a while back that Malezas seems to not be one of Tudor's favorites, so who knows what's going on there. I'd still think he's one of our top-three CBs, which means Vitor-Costa-Malezas should start each of those EL games. If we were to get a new CB, we'd essentially have three "real" ones, and Tzavellas/Skondras as converted fullbacks that can also slot in. Could be worse I guess.
  17. ^ that article also notes that we're looking for a 2mm EUR windfall from the sponsorship. So in other words, it'll pay for Berbatov.
  18. That really does play well with the general stench of corruption.
  19. That would be great, anything that detaches us from the domestic companies somehow just feels right.
  20. We're generally diaspora Greeks - Australia, Canada, US, UK. In this particular forum (for PAOK), the majority are Australian and US fans.
  21. Welcome Ivo! We're very happy to have you. Frankly, Berbatov won't need to do much running - the defenses he'll be most useful against, aren't exactly going to be very mobile. They'll just be sitting in front of their goals. I think ideally we'll see him paired with our captain, Klaus, who should be more than capable of doing the running (and the same goes for everyone else on the team, it's a very young squad).
  22. Do Qabala players form the core of their team?
