Was talking to an uncle earlier today and he kept insisting that there was some sort of announcement made by Savvidis in the past few days that he's contracted (another?) company to do a preliminary investigation around Toumba to see if they can detect any potential archaeological finds under the stadium (which would make sinking the pitch and widespread construction effectively impossible). I haven't been able to find any actual articles about this, so I don't know if there's any truth behind it - anyone hear any rumors?

Here's a filtered list of available players, too: https://www.transfermarkt.com/spieler/vertragslosespieler/statistik/1/plus//galerie/0?ausrichtung=Sturm&spielerposition_id=14&land_id=alle&altersklasse=&wettbewerb_id=alle&seit=alle&yt0=Show That's a pretty amazing head shot for Diabete, hahaha

4-2 final. Better quality stream than paoktv, too...just to rub it in
-
Poor match by us. Yet still somewhat entertaining.
-
If we sell him for 5mm, we won't have much trouble buying both Mak and Zambrano. And if Mak is a total dud this year (or doesn't want to return)...that extra cash will come in handy.
-
That's a very well-organized list. I thought last year we had some good depth, but this team could put that one to shame. Lots of options for different formations there too. For fun, here's what I think is our worst lineup from that list: -------------------------------------------------- Paschalakis------------------------------------------------------- Konstantinidis -------------------- Malezas------------ Pouggouras------------- Deligiannidis --------------------- Kace----------------------------------------- Shakhov-------------------- Mystakidis ----------------------------Pelkas--------------------------- Limios ------------------------------------------ Koulouris------------------------------------------- Still not bad.
-
If we get 5mm for him, I call that a win. There is no shortage of players that are stylistically like him (even though I really like the guy and wouldn't complain at all if we get him back next summer). Blackhawk, don't forget Warda ;)

I'm reading now that Zambrano's transfer has been approved by FIFA. I would expect chances for a loan of Poungouras just rose significantly.
-
Yeah, I was actually wondering why he didn't play as a LB at all last season - surely he would have been better there than Kitsiou, who could have taken his natural position on the right (and performed better)? Poungouras is looking likely to stay, though if (good) word from FIFA regarding Zambrano is received, the club reportedly will try to find a team for him in a country that has a later transfer deadline. Russia's ends tonight, I believe. This was a pretty explosive end to our transfer window, we went from having one "bam" (in Mak) to hitting literally all of our targets. Very impressive. Also shows that while Savvidis might be angry, he has OK'd all of these moves and clearly is not willing to waste the momentum from last season. Amazingly, we seem to have addressed the majority of our issues, save for a good backup for CF (perhaps Koulouris will prove me wrong on that). Fingers crossed that the Savvidis family gives Michel the vote of confidence and holds on to him another year. We have a ton of young players out there on loan, hopefully to get steady game time. Henrique's loan ends up with a 5mm buyout clause, which would be a phenomenal return on the player, even considering Rennes owns, what, 20% of his rights? And if we don't sell him...we get this player back. Good business on our part. Vieirinha and Mauricio will likely take 3 or 4 weeks to get fit, as neither of them have trained in some time. Zambrano has been training with Rubin Kazan, so he should be available much faster. Same with El Khaddouri, who has been with the team for a week now.

Not a dirty word, but certainly a shitty guide. Boston, I wasn't able to find clips on youtube, but I'm sure they're floating somewhere...anybody see the goals?
-
It seems that these are approved pretty often, we should know soon
-
Russia has until Friday I believe, so it would be just our luck that they screwed up the transfer deadlines for foreign leagues...
-
Leaves us thin at the back, but Malezas is more than adequate coverage. I can't see them keeping Poungouras for a one-month spell as #3 (or #4?) center back. More likely they'd call up someone from the K20 to fill out the practice squad.
-
Great news. I'm reading that Cimirot is very likely to be loaned soon as well. Still a few more hours... -edit- Poungouras to Rostov? Now that's a solid move for him.
-
I agree, he's a good player who will hopefully get better. He's stylistically very different from Biseswar, but let's not forget how well he played when he came back from Portugal and got regular minutes. Most of our Greek players seemed to regress after that season.
-
^ I'm pretty sure the Z is correct, I just keep seeing it on Greek sites and so my spelling is off.
-
I do, I like his technique over Crespo's speed. I believe Samprano is also reportedly a pretty fast guy. teke, I agree, I like Cimirot more than Canas (and I don't think two should have two pure DMs on the field at once, at least not for most games). My lineup is more a worry than it is a hope.
-
Though allegedly both he and Leovac trained normally in the past few days
-
Lucescu is also a fan of the 4-2-3-1, so I think we'll see a lot of this in the next month or so. Hopefully it's not *too* defensive. --Rey-- --Matos--Varela--Samprano--Leveque-- --Canas--Mauricio-- --Campos--El Khaddouri--Mak-- --Prijovic--
-
He's used the 4-4-2 a few times at the end of games. Remember that Mistakidis also can play as second striker (personally I think he's even better there). Lucescu will definitely have some options if he wants to go with two up front. Not as sure about the 3-5-2 - I mean, last year's team did fine with it a few times, but rarely against strong opposition. Tudor made a 3-4-2-1 "work" as well, which is really not so different a formation.

October 2nd, I believe
-
For five million, I wouldn't argue against a sale. Hell, I'd toss in a hand job too. Get ready little Savvidis, you might be called upon to perform.
-
A little less than I feared, but still way more than we should pay. Also reading now that Henrique has agreed to the loan, but PAOK has refused a buy out clause. Good move on our part, if true.
-
I'm reading 4mm for 3 years
-
If Koulouris can do what Klaus couldn't last season (be fed), then we'll be fine with him as the #2. New season, upgraded team, let's see how this goes. Now to get the confirmation of our new CB and I'll be able to rest easy.
