^You would think they would be better but they haven't played well on this team either. I'm not sure right now it will make a difference. Someone besides Torosidis has to step up and be a voice and a true captan on this team, someone that can motivate and lead this team. I'm not sure who that is, Maybe Socrates? Kpaps is always injured so forget him.

^Agreed we have started to score some goals where at one point it looked like it was never going to happen. But I agree even when our best defenders were playing we would still allow way to many goals and I think this needs to be the main focus of our team. To be honest even in EQ if our defense was as good as it has been in the past we still would have had a chance to stay in contention to qualify for third. Our teams key to success is playing to our strengths and shutting teams down and worry about the offense later. Once our defense is gone so is our team we have no chance to win. Besides the midfield being a lot weaker now WTF has really changed? How did we get so bad defensively? And how does Skibbe fix this?

It seems like who every we try our back end has failed us time and time again, wether it be missed coverage on set pieces or horrible giveaway or weak goaltending something just doesn't seem right with not only our entire team but our defenders as well. Not being able to keep a clean sheet against the worst soccer teams in Europe clearly shows we have a huge uphill battle ahead of us. At this point nobody knows the answers. I understand Skibbe is new and he wants to try new players to see what he has but the subs he choose was ridiculous in my opinion. There are guys that we never need to see on this team and honestly after yesterday I don't even want to see Oikonomou play on this team he was horrible and got so exposed yet alone heading right to the feet of our opponents. Tziolis, Moras, papzoglou shouldn't play again.

We have serious problems, The entire world use to talk about our defence and how they were going to break us down, now without our defence we have nothing to intimidate any team, we have become so easy to play against. You can think of what our best scoring options up front and what is going to be our best attacking threat until we are blue in the face, as long as we play defence like this we will be a garbage team. Since when did we start thinking we are better team and we can explore different styles of play? If we don't play back and shut down the opposition with very boring defensive play and squeak out 1-0 wins we will never qualify for a tournament again.

I would have rather seen our better line up versus Iceland to see how they compare and Skibbe should have used this line up against Montenegro.

At the end of the day this goes back to what have said numerous times, if we can't shut it down defensively and play as a defensive minded team we will NOT win against anyone good or bad. Our defense has gon to s%$#!. Every team scores on us. FI scored 3 goals In two games, Hungary scored 3 goals in two games, NI scored 3 or 4 goals In two games against us. We are s%$#! defensively and that's why we will continue to struggle unless we play boring defensive Soccer. I was hoping this was just a bad EQ campaign and things would change but it won't, not anytime soon. This clearly shows its our lack of talent and NOT the 3 coaches we went through. Can you imagine what Belgium or even Bosnia will do to us when we can't even beat Liechtenstein or the FI? No confidence in this team anymore.

We do it every game regardless if we have our normal starters or not we concede goals in 95% of our games against all teams good or bad.

Horrible defending. This is an ongoing problem since the end of the W/C.

It looks like Fortounis will be our main man going forward, the kid is so smart and calm with the ball. You could see the weakness in our D without our main guys as we are still making mistakes in our back end, but overall good first half.

The attendance was very low, the stadium looked empty. I understand people are frustrated with the way the team has played, myself included but have people just completely given up on this team? I would say maybe it's a result of the economy but the club teams do pretty well so I just don't get it. I guess the club teams have more of a loyal crowd and the NT only gets followers when they win and make tournaments.

^I hope you're right but I just see Bosnia scoring a lot more goals then us and knowing goal differential plays a big role In the W/C qualifiers that concerns me.

I agree that we've seen so much of Mitro and we know what he is capable of, but to be honest he has been a big disappointment for us since the Romania series that got us to the World Cup. He is very slow and he literally needs to be given the ball in an ideal situation where he has some time and space to be productive because I don't think he will create anything himself. In Saying that we know he's a big part of this team going forward just do to our lack of depth. We need to see what other guys are capable of doing and I would like to see velios get a full game. I mentioned before is Karnezis really our best option in net? And does Ninis or Fetfa have any palace on this team or have they lost there opportunity? Also I still believe in Kone and I'd like to see a little bit of Lazaros.

I'd like to see more of Lazaros, I thought he had potential and I haven't seen him on the NT for a long time. Anyone know what happened to him and why he hasn't been given another shot since the W/C? I think he only played 1 or 2 EQ games as well.

As professional athletes that's absolutely bullshit, these guys don't obviously take there training and careers or at the very least the national team seriously. They have another game in a few days. They have every right to enjoy there life in the off season but as a professional athlete they're required to eat sleep and train and be on a comited program and schedule. These F***ERS will never get it.

It's nice we finally got a win and scored 2 goals. My main concern is still our defense, we keep talking about having world class defenders and I do agree we have some very talented defenders but we keep letting very weak teams score on us and this is very concerning. Can you imagine what good teams will do against us? Since we all know we have a major problem scoring goals we need to focus on building a solid defensive system and if we do that the chances offensively will come. On another note is Karnezis our best option in goal? I've never had confidence in him. Is there not anyone else available that looks good? Samaris to me looked like he struggled and some horrible giveaways. I'd like to see Kone back and I'd like to give Lazaros a look as well. Bottom line great to get the win under Skibbe but Defense is still very concerning to me.
