@Rockafeller Skank No one is arguing the fact that this campaign has been better then our last campaign that's not a question and yes Skibbe is using the NT to its strengths which is our defence and that's good but everyone including the media is very upset with his call ups and the OUT OF FORM PLAYERS he choose to play against Estonia which was a MUST WIN. YOu don't need Tziolis in that game and you shouldn't start Vellios when he hasn't started a game for ever and wasn't in game shape. He also had Taxi and Staf he could have played... Forget the fact that we tied Estonia for a second but the problem is we didn't tie Estonia with our best possible line up that's the problem as we didn't give ourselves the best chance to win and that's what bothers everybody. We had almost NO shots on net especially in the second so why didn't Skibbe then make changes that made sense to bring more offence? You can refer back to the Faroe Islands and us blowing leads against s%$#! team but you still can't play scared and you still need to go for the win against teams that are much weaker then you. In a World Cup qualifying campaign the margin for error is so slim that you CANNOT afford to not get 3 points against teams below you. If we played our best possible line up against Estonia and we still got the same result then so be it as it would have been on the players for not coming through but Skibbe didn't even give us a chance to win with his selections. He made a huge mistake by looking ahead and resting players to be ready for the Belgium match and he completely screwed the team by not playing his best line up against Estonia and then let the chips fall where they would have against Belgium as Estonia was the more important game for us. Nobody would have started players that haven't played in months and are out of form when you have inform players not being called up. I'm not blaming him for everything and Like I said I do like his defence first mentality but he has to be one of the worst coaches we've seen for selecting players in a long time.

Bottom line we can waste our breath trying to analyze who will be last of the 2nd place teams but the reality is if Greece don't beat Cyprus or if Bosnia beat Belgium then there is no need to even bother with the other groups.. The Cyprus match will be very difficult as there new coach will not want a another lose under his belt and he will do everything he can to prove his worth and have Cyprus prepared so they can beat us or at least draw us.. This will NOT be an easy match for us..

This is the true reason we blew it against Estonia and it has to do with Skibbe.. Why is he so blind when it comes to call ups? Skibbe has taken us back to defensive soccer which is good but he's killings us and costing us games with his selections and subs.

Guys every group does have 6 teams this format was implemented I think because the odd number of teams but every group does have the same number of teams.. This is so confusing.. what's the purpose of deducting the points and goals if every group has the same number of teams. Are we still sure we are correct by the deducting of points?

Wales getting the win today shouldn't impact us as they beat the last place team in there group so those points get deducted anyways.. Am I right or am I missing something?

@Rockafeller Skank but does the Wales result even count since Maldova is the last place team in there group when it comes to top second place teams?

That's why I'm so upset with Skibbes line up selection... he should have went hard with our best possible line against Estonia and guaranteed the win as first place was never really in the cards anyways.. he made a bad decision and it most likely cost us the world cup. He took the Estonia game for granted . We needed to beat Estonia, and Cyprus and a loss to Belgium still would have been okay but Skibbe choose to go with a weak line up and it literally F***ED US.

As it stands right now we are tied for last with IRL so even if they get a pint tomorrow we will be the last place team.. not looking good at all.

Based on today's FIFA results it's now looking more and more like Greece if they finish second will be the worst of the second place teams... Every second please team looks like they've won or winning.

So Greece have 10points and Bosnia have 8points right now. But Bosnia have the potential to get 6points in there two remaining games and we can get a max of 3 points since the Gibraltar games doesn't count. Am I understanding this right? So a draw and a win in there last 2 games will only give Bosnia a max points of 12. If we tie Cyprus we are out as we can only get a max 11points since Gibraltar does not count. Is that right?

Torontoblue is right I remember hearing the the same thing when FIFA announced the groups... I will try to find it and attach the link..

@Torontoblue That's what I was confused about I thought the result against Gibraltar wouldn't matter. Does that mean all 8 teams the results don't count against the last place teams? In points and the amount of goals scored? So for example if Greece beat Gilbrator then we minus the 6 points from our two wins against them plus minus the goals we scored? Still a little confused about how that works.
