Really ? You're a better man than me. If it wasn't for the Cup and needing to keep players match fit, I'd throw the U/20's in there for the rest of the season.
-
His priority #1 should be to have the 2 referees never referee another game in the GSL ever again.
-
Dunno why I bothered. I knew I shouldn't have.
-
Very complexed. By the way, what's been lost in all this (because we are all idiots) is the behaviour of the referees. Last year with Ivic, the referee at least did the right thing and followed protocol. Even if it was the case that Ivic was a p******. In the game with Olympiakos, they just walked off the field. And instead of the referee saying "if you do this you lose 3-0" he didn't do it. So he either (a) didn't know what to do or (b) was too afraid. Either way, the referee failed in his duties. Further to that (for the 100th time re jvc xerokefale) when Olympiakos (a) left the field without permission and (b) failed to allow the doctor to examine Garcia, that was both grounds for instance 3-0 to PAOK. But what happened ? Olympiakos got the point AFTER the referee heavily modified his match report. In the game with AEK they threatened to walk off the field and only after heavy pressure (and threats?) did the referee reverse his decision. So now next time these teams play, what is the precedent ? Do we follow the rules of the referee or just ignore him and do whatever we want ? Do we surround him and threaten to walk off the pitch ? jvc, these punishments mean NOTHING in terms of improving the league. The punishments are only good for POK this season. As to future games, they will be a fiasco as teams do whatever the want, pressure referees, and referees modify match reports. Or should I say, POK teams do that. We just throw objects at managers and walk onto fields with guns. But apparently now everything will be all right in the future now that PAOK has been punished. Do you believe this ? If the referees are corrupt what chance do we have of cleaning up the game ? The way I see it AEK, Olympiakos and the referees all got away with it. Only PAOK was punished. Seem fair to you ? Maybe it does because of what Ivic did. /justkillme

Assuming of course the final is AEK vs PAOK I expect it to be a fiasco.

So in summary it's confirmed that PAOK controls EPO and Syriza also is with PAOK. If this were not the case we would have been given -50 points, Savvidis would get a life ban and PAOK 10 years with no fans. The people that thought this theory could be true have been proven correct. Imbeciles. As to the punishment once again wrong. Collective punishment to all the players and fans who did nothing wrong. The punishments whatever they were should have been for Savvidis and Michel only. The punishments will help begin the healing process in the GSL. All PAOK fans will walk away from this feeling that justice was served since they all participated. And those that called for collective punishment will see that next year PAOK fans won't be angry. They will be like little sheep. Imbeciles. AEK and Olympiacos showed when it comes down to it, you do what you have to, to win. We'll need to do the same since that is the way in Greece and this punishment changes nothing. Enjoy your paper title AEK. This makes up for the one Olympiacos took from you ? Save your justifications, I don't care to hear them. I will rejoice every time AEK and Olympiacos fail. Even in Europe. I hope you get 0 points in Europe even though it affects PAOK too. Yes, I am an imbecile like you too.

Tell FIFIA the "fakelaki" is on it's way!
-
You disappoint me my friend.
-
Interestingly, maybe this could force Alafouzos's hand ? Maybe Giannakopoulos will get the club sooner than you think ?
-
Nice photos @Molon Lave. Did you take them ?
-
This would be the first time in how many years we have a manager for more than one season ?! I think this is a solid move by the club. Rasvan seems to have the club room and that is half the battle.

@Yiankos nice summary. I have thought the same but have become too lazy to even post about it because it just goes in one ear and out the other. The truth is that all of the big teams in Greece are a bunch of cry babies. In the space of 3 weeks we had Olympiakos, AEK and then PAOK threatening to leave or leaving the pitch. Unbelievable man! We are at fault you could say for doing the same as Olympiakos and AEK but to our credit we had to be poked many times before Savvidis went donkey kong. This really is what EPO and the government should try and clean up first. The behaviour of the presidents and the teams. The fans is another story and will take more work but we should at least expect the clubs to have a minimum standard of behaviour. I can't see this happening though. There is too much hatred and anger now. Marinakis, Alafouzos, Melissanidis, Savvidis, Kougias what a great bunch of presidents. Role models the lot of them. In a proper world :- - PAOK should be punished for the cash register roll hitting Garcia. - PAOK should be punished for Savvidis coming onto the pitch. - PAOK should be punished for Savvidis having a gun on him on the pitch. - PAOK should be punished for Savvidis attempting to (unsuccessfully) get the team to leave. - Olympiakos should be punished for leaving the game without permission for the referee. - Olympiakos should be punished for not following proper protocol regarding doctor's examination of Garcia. - AEK should be punished for attempting to leave the pitch. - AEK should be punished for surrounding and threatening the referee to the point he changed his mind. If all the above was handled properly then Atromitos would win the league and I'd be all right with that. None of the rest deserve it. Cry babies the lot of them. As for punishments for PAOK, based on comments I've read in this forum and other media, I don't think POK fans will be happy unless we are relegated to the 99th division, Savvidis goes to jail for life and every person living in Thessaloniki is forced to pay off the debt of Greece. Anything less and they'll feel justice wasn't served. Go figure ...
-
So you decide NOW is the time to show authority and PAOK will be the EXAMPLE! With this one swift and yet to be thought of punishment we will cleanse the league and behold all presidents will tremble in fear. I'm not saying that it shouldn't be so, I'm saying that you have the second largest city in Greece feeling like it's being targeted just because well all of a sudden for the first time in 3 decades their team is competitive and has an owner that actually pays the players on time. Get where I'm going with this ? It just makes the situation worse, not better. Have any punishments harsh or otherwise improved Greek soccer in the last 25 years ? Is there one you think will work on this occasion ? I mean really work. Go on throw the book at them! Something tells me no matter how harsh the penalty all you're going to do is piss off half a million people. If they can be wise (ha ha I know) and punish only Savvidis maybe then we may be going in the right direction. I hold little hope that will happen though and all that's going to happen is Savvidis after getting smacked down will just come back harder only this time he'll probably do it less publicly. After all, the man has meetings with Putin on occasion.
-
Not cool. You ban him for life and he might just get rid of the team. Then we go back to the good old days of presidents like Voulinos and Batatoudis who ironically are much worse than Savvidis. Wannabe gangsters, thiefs and liars. Although it would make Athens rejoice. Again it's collective punishment. The punishment has to hurt Savvidis and Savvidis only if that is possible. As to what is appropriate hard to say exactly but I'm sure the intelligentsia out there could come up with something.

Γειά σας παιδιά, My home internet went down ironically on the night of the game and I only got it back this afternoon. Thank you Telstra. I have been following this thread on my phone. I hadn't bothered to reply since I find typing on a phone akin to torture. I did though check the score on my phone (livescore.com) and I saw "Int" next to the game. Being a computer programmer, my mind first went to "int: In many major programming languages, an int is a 32-bit signed integer.". But surely this had to be something different. I thought oh well, the fans have rioted again and rolled over and went back to sleep. How wrong I was. § One thing I can't understand is the calling for PAOK the club to be punished. I find this bizarre and egregious. Only one person should be punished and that is Savvidis. Did the PAOK players do anything wrong ? If anything they behaved honourably. Should all their hard work this season be thrown away because of the actions of Savvidis ? Did the fans do anything wrong on this occasion ? Should their dream of winning a championship for the first time since 1985 be dashed due to the actions of Savvidis ? Too many are too quick to jump the gun. But PAOK must be punished people will claim. Otherwise how will they learn ? Superficially, this feels right. But it's not. It's the wrong course. It'll just lead to more anger in the long run. Keep beating that kid till he learns. Yeah sure, that'll work. Would giving PAOK -3, -6 or however many points deduction teach Savvidis a lesson ? Yeah sure, it would. But you're still basically issuing a collective punishment on all the squad and all the fans. It's not fair. It's not right. It's not just. They did nothing wrong ... on this occasion. Or maybe we should revert to the ways of the old testament where the sins of the father are punished for 7 generations ? Sounds about right for Greece actually. This is the course that leads to players wanting to leave Greece. This is the course that leads to fans becoming disillusioned and embittered. Because punishing PAOK the club is nothing short of a collective punishment. If anyone thinks this will teach anyone a lesson it won't. If it were up to me I would ban Savvidis from attending any games for 1 full season and issue a fine for 1 million euros. In addition, a new law should be passed where if a president steps onto the pitch for any reason whatsoever, the same punishment will be meted out. This to me seems ... fair. Savvidis was the one who did wrong so he should be punished. Not the players and not the fans.

It's ok. I worked it out. A bit of a confusing and silly process buy anyway.
-
Anyone have any idea how to subscribe with PAOK TV ? There is a SIGN IN button but it assumes you've already got an account. I can't see where you create a new account.

When we corrupt the league for years or decades come back and talk to us. For now we are amateurs compared to Olympiacos. Small fry. We still have a long way to go to match their level of p*****a craftiness. By my calculations I don't think there is enough time left in the universe (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_death_of_the_universe) for anyone to match the gavrakia.
-
@jvc this arguing back and forth must get exhausting! If you need a hug I hear that pash is always keen to hand them out.

Big game. Huge game. The dynamics have changed now as a draw although not ideal would not mean the title being over. If the gap was 5 points a win would be mandatory. It means Lucescu has more options. Lots of permutations as far as lineups go but in the end it's all bollocks. It's going to come down to the basics. Win your inidividual battles and you are a chance. The players have to perform regardless of strategy. AEK although not flashy are a tough nut to crack and Jimenez is a very very good manager. It will be interesting to see how Lazaros plays. He's playing the best football of his career and he's hands down the MVP for AEK. If he can be contained (and that's a big if) it will help our cause. Hopefully it's a good game with no fan incidents (please let it be so) and to the victor go the spoils. As Alexander the Great said "To the strongest".
-
Well I gotta say I am amazed. I did not expect this outcome. I guess I'm too used to getting screwed. I think this is a win for common sense. It's not ideal as the behaviour of Olympiacos was farcical and they are still being rewarded for it. Some will argue that this outcome is farcical, but when you think about it was the behaviour one βλάχο compared to the behaviour of club officials. I don't expect the βλάχο to behave any differently because well he's a βλάχο. But the officials of Olympiacos behaving like cowards and cheats and liars that was something else. As for PAOK hopefully they wake up and start removing fans like this from our stadiums once and for all. They have caused too much damage of the last few decades. I don't expect it to change soon, but hopefully it's a wake up call that this crap has to stop. All we wanted to see was the biggest derby of the year. Seriously, if there is trouble in the game with AEK I'm going to join a hippie village somewhere where there is no internet and be done with this league.
-
No way PAO take it easy against us. They never have, never will, nor should they. They should play to the best of their ability and I'd expect nothing less. If we can't beat PAO in Leoforos that's our problem.
-
We are going to build a monument to him outside the new Toumba once it's built.
-
How can this be ?! I thought we owned EPO! I mean that's what every fan that isn't a PAOK supporter believes (and they generally have a high IQ) so I thought if they think it then it must be true. Oh no I'm going to have start seeing a psychiatrist now. My world view has just been shattered.

Yes, yes, yes. Unfortunately sometimes you don't how far you can stretch something before it breaks. Cimirot would've started today if he was still with us and Asteras wouldn't have had such open slather in the middle. An exari during the summer transfer period is a priority. And yeah I don't know why we loaned out Kace.
