Hudson, no reason for Greece to negotiate. Greece shouldn't even bother going to any negotiations. If FYROM gets the name they wants, they are happy, the US, EU and NATO are happy and Greece loses. So only Greece loses and they want Greece to negotiate ? Doesn't make any sense to me. The argument that Greece has already lost this issue, I don't buy it. We've lost when we officially let them have it. Until then nothing is settled. The "optimum" response is for Greece to agree to disagree and politely state their terms ad infinitum (a) can't use word in your name and (b) rescind your revisionist history. Whatever crumbs the US, EU and NATO might flick at us off their table, they can have them. I'm not even sure why all of a sudden this has become important again. Has the geopolitical situation changed ?

Savvidis doesn't strike me as someone who will quit. He may lose this time. I expect we will lose this time. But I don't think the status quo will remain indefinitely. As each season goes by Olympiacos gets more desperate. Don't believe me ? Look at what they pulled with this game. THEY know it's a fraud. WE know it's a fraud. It's actually quite a fair result. It eliminates the advantage of PAOK being at home. So in effect our "punishment" is not having our fans and not playing in our home ground. Of course hard core Olympiacos fans would get confused by such a suggestion. Their thought process has been dumbed over the years. I don't understand why they are referred to as gavroi. I always thought of them more as weasels ha ha.

All that we can do is prosecute the case to the best of our ability. If the fix is in it's in but we can at least make it so that Olympiacos have to sink to lower and lower depths to get what they want. Ideally we win 7/7 and it forces them to require more court case intervention. Why does the word RAT FINKS come to mind ? Ha ha. It sounds like Aretopoulos has sold his soul and if so I agree with @Klaous that we should do everything in our power to make sure he doesn't referee again. If this goes their way it will set such a terrible precedent. I would think a replay at a neutral venue would be the best outcome and ironically would still be a positive for Olympiacos since they would avoid the ZOUGLA that so scares them. The goal that Larisa conceded was entirely their fault. You can't all just stop because you think you deserve or are going to get a free kick. The penalty for Larisa, no way that is a penalty. I can only assume the referee wanted to even up the score after the "mistake" he made that lead to AEK's first goal.

That's the thing, Lucescu said he doesn't like playing with a 6. And it makes sense in Greece for 90% of games. But in Europe if we don't have a solid εξάρι I think we could get exposed.

Agree about Simoes. He is key to their midfield. Holds everything together. Very very good player. AEK have been very unfortunate with injuries to their midfield this season with Mandalos and also Johansson sustaining season ending injuries.

That's the thing man. If crazy s%$#! went down like fires, fans storming the pitch, players getting bashed etc. then everyone (or at least normal people) would understand why the game was abandoned. But the way it went down (or should I say Garcia went down) that was the big steaming pile of crap. Play the game, arrest the one person (ONE person !!) who threw the cash register roll. Prosecute the imbecile. Ban him from attending any future games. Instead a whole city is indicted. But hey, anything that feeds peoples preconceptions.

What very little respect I had for Olympiakos is now completely gone. Sure, they've had a stink about them in previous years, but by and large, whichever way you look at it, they DID have the best team in Greece. So all in all, regardless of claims of dodgy referees etc, I could watch and game and perceive that they had the best squad and team in Greece. And now ? Now that they possible don't have the best team, now that they are really being tested, they do this. They should replace their "thrylos" emblem with that of a chicken. Man up and play the game you pussies. Axristi. Dip yia dip.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. In previous years this would be a forgone conclusion. They'd bash our team, lie, steal and there would be no repercussions. I don't know what Savvidis can do but he's not the sort of man to just let this go.

What I find surprising is how afraid Olympiakos were to just play the game. Seriously, you are in danger of losing the title for the first time in eight years and you behave like this ?!
