  1. It's posts like these that make me think AEK fans are in the wrong profession. They should be revisionists or mathematicians. To be fair, I am consistently hearing this from all AEK fans ... I guess it must be true. Yeah you beat PAOK on points ... with PAOK playing one game less (the game against Olympiakos did not go ahead) and with PAOK getting -6 vs AEK. Take away the -6 and play the game against against Olympiacos and PAOK wins and PAOK is +1 points ahead of AEK. As to the odds of PAOK beating Olympiacos in that game had it gone ahead, I think > 50% chance of winning and that's being conservative. So I guess you are 50% champions ? Having said that, there is still time for more revisionism. It's likely PAOK will rest players before the Cup Final (bloodbath is my prediction) so AEK might just win on points. Here's to AEK. 50% champions of Greece on paper. The papers are real even if you tell yourself they're not. Would it kill people to just admit that PAOK is a decent team ? Apparently it would kill them. Like I always say, anything North of Athens, no good.
  2. I've never liked the idea of foreign referees. Just doesn't sit right with me. As for the Cup game, if PAOK fans are given tickets the violence will be of a special kind. I expect nothing less being Greece. Given the choices, I'd go for not giving any tickets to PAOK fans. At least that way if something does happen (and I expect it will) the club won't be held responsible. Having said that, FIFA will consider it ridiculous that you have a Cup Final with only fans from one team attending so I don't expect this to happen. Instead, I expect the game to go ahead with both sets of fans and for there to be trouble of all sorts. Could this be the catalyst for Grexit ?
  3. Ha ha, it's not about hate. You won the title and I'm right with that. But the repetitious mantra of "we were the BEST team this season and DESERVE it". Nah man. I'm calling you guys out on that. Not that it matters. In one ear and out the other. As for the Cup, it's rumored it's going to be switched to Toumba ... because ... that would be fair ?!
  4. Greek football has been very successful for decades ... for some ...with having it all centralized in Athens. Why change what's not broken ? As for the Cup, good lord, it's gonna be mayhem.
  5. I did drink the cool aid. Before drinking, I thought PAOK earned more points in the league. But now that I've drank it, I can SEE that AEK deserve the title. AEK earned the most points. AEK would've won even if PAOK didn't have 9 points taken deducted. Ah the cool aid. Titans of Greece! DING DING DING DING !!! STEP RIGHT UP. WE HAVE A WINNER! I think you drank the honesty-aid by accident. At last some honesty. A Freudian slip ? No back tracking now. We lost it. You didn't win it. Best team in Greece. Deserved champions. Titans of Greece. That paper championship will stick for a long time.
  6. Based on points ? I suppose yeah, they are the BEST team in the league ... titans of Greece!
  7. I can only guess they have trouble putting their big boy pants on. To say such a thing you must either be trolling (always a big possibility on forums) or can't grasp reality. A fair and realistic statement would be something like "Based on points, we were the 2nd best (I'm feeling a bit anxious) team this season but due to the appalling behaviour of PAOK fans and their president, we won the title." but that would possibly be expecting too much. Instead, we see this repetitive mantra (if I just say it one more time, I'll believe it) that AEK were hands down the titans of Greece! Ha ha ha. So basically, to win the title, AEK had to have PAOK lose points for bad behaviour. In other words, without this, they would not win the title. But when you say they won it on paper, they get upset! As for me, I'm not a hypocrite. I'd LOVE to win a title on paper. I suspect it's even better than winning it just based on points. End of the day, you only see non PAOK fans in our forum when there is trouble at our club. When we were/are playing well, did you see anyone ? But when our fans and president behave like idiots, then all the kotsobolides appear. And boy did they LOVE it. Must've got their rocks off. And I'm not saying we don't deserve points deductions. I'm just saying ... AEK ... you needed the help of our fans and president. Best team in Greece ... spare me. 2nd best, yeah, cool I'll give you that. ΑΕΚ γερά, τιτλο στα χαρτιά! ΑΕΚ γερά, τιτλο στα χαρτιά! ΑΕΚ γερά, τιτλο στα χαρτιά! If you keep repeating this mantra, you'll get there. You now join the gavroi in having won a title due to other teams losing points (yes, yes, I know it's our fault). Own it people. O-W-N I-T !!
  8. Delusion is a special thing. Best club, yes. I'll agree to that. Best team ? If PAOK were not deducted points and had played the game against Olympiakos there is a good chance they would be +4 or more points ahead of AEK. So not sure where you're getting best team. The best team (in terms of the players on the pitch) this season is PAOK. The best club, yeah, I'll give that to you guys since we have fans and a president hell bent on being cray crazy. Delusion is a special thing. All year long, ha ha ha.
  9. What's Jimenez going to say ? That if PAOK didn't get deducted points then they might not win the title ? That would be political suicide. Honour is not something that is rewarded in Greece. It is what it is. Onwards to the Cup and next season. In the meantime ... repeat after me. ΑΕΚ γερά, τιτλο στα χαρτιά! ΑΕΚ γερά, τιτλο στα χαρτιά! ΑΕΚ γερά, τιτλο στα χαρτιά! Ha ha ha, that will never get old.
  10. The best option from a security point of view is a secret location played without fans. Anything else and there is a good chance there will be trouble, injuries, death. Ridiculous proposition I know. But if security is your first concern, that is the only way ... in Greece.
  11. I'll be amazed if there isn't serious fan violence before the game and after the game. Heck maybe even during the game. I'll be surprised if the match itself isn't a complete fiasco. Daft decision to play the game at OAKA considering what's happened since the Cup Final last year. Keep believing EPO. I'm actually not looking forward to this and will be relieved if the game just finishes without and injuries or death to fans. As for the clubs themselves, I'm sure they will behave honourably.
  12. Savvidis gave them a fakelaki. They looked inside. They said NOT ENOUGH. Now they are negotiating.
  13. No news yet on the appeal. Are the adjudicators on holidays ?
  14. Amen brother! ;)
  15. While we have your attention, if PAO gets relegated to B Ethniki, does this affect Alafouzos's debts in any way ? Just wondering what game he's playing.
  16. At best we would get the -3 points back. Either way we got ripped. Great outcome for both Olympiakos and AEK this season at Toumba. If we are smart we will learn from their tactics and get someone from Hollywood to train our players in preparation from next season.
  17. I don't mind these sorts of signings. I get what you're saying, but the "ready made" players cost much more and even then they are a risk. There are no guarantees unfortunately. At least this is lower risk. There are plenty of players in the GSL that have played for lower level teams and then they shine when given the chance in a bigger team. And then are plenty that failed too (I'm looking at you Koutsianikoulis). End of the day if he's better than Koulouris then I'm all right with that. The quality difference between Prijovic and Koulouris is immense.
  18. - Is Hatseridi even that good ? There has been a lot of fuss over him. I'll be happy if he's at the same level that Varela has been this season. - KP very little chance. He's on 2.5 million now at his current club. If he does come to us it means he couldn't get a better offer elsewhere, which is fair enough. - Warda is a tricky one. Anything over say 2 million would be good business. But his form has been very good this season. Then again we have an abundance of wingers and there is still Henrique to return also, although there have been media stories about Qarabag wanting to buy him. - Assuming the Napoli story has any truth to it, the only player I would imagine they could be interested in is Pelkas. They are a very high level team.
  19. Man some people can't take joke. Black humour I suppose. I thought you "got" my sense of humour. Maybe you don't remember.
  20. I was going to post a picture of a paper trophy but googling didn't bring up what I wanted. Pfft, what is the world coming to. At least now you will have something common with your red aderfoules. Now you know what they felt when the "stole" the title from you. Good conversations to be had around the bbq! It's good to have things in common. Enjoy. :) On a more serious note, if it were up to me this would've all been decided in a cage match, to the death of course, between myself and Amorgiggles. The only sane solution but alas, the world, and especially Greece is not sane. Can you imagine the TV ratings ? Crazy man. Just crazy!
  21. To win a title we would have to have a team that can win by 10 points clear at least. On a side note, overall, we have played some very good football this season. There have been some shockers here and there but overall very good and very consistent. My bigger concern is how will we be able to attract decent players to the team after what's happened in the last few weeks. You would have to mad or desperate to come to PAOK and the GSL now.
  22. The point is, punish everyone that deserves punishing. Apparently this is a difficult concept to grasp ? The greek mentality. Who me ? Ego ? I didn't do dem nuffin sirs. Punish Savvidis, punish PAOK if that's what seems fair to you. Punish Olympiakos ? Didn't happen. Punish Mirallas for inciting the crowd ? Room goes quiet. Punish AEK players/bench for storming the referee ? Room goes quiet again. Punish the referees for poor/incorrect decisions and changing (lying) on their match reports. Room goes quiet again. Lots of guilty parties. Only PAOK got punished. Only PAOK is guilty. Enjoy the paper title. As for the Cup Final it will be a fiasco. Based on AEK's players reactions, our best chance of winning is storming the referee until he caves. It worked for you guys.
  23. I can only assume that the people that keep posting about Ivic are numbskulls. A bit daft. A bit dense. We've told you 999 times that protocol wasn't followed by Olympiacos. They left the field of their own volition without the permission of the referee. Instant 3-0 win to PAOK !! No, instead the referee changes his match report. But you don't see corruption. AEK were ready to leave the field. Wah wah wah. But no! He reverses his decision! Hallelujah it's a miracle! Not corruption ? /blind As for the match report modifications no mention of this. Because (and here's the IMPORTANT part) what Ivic did and what Savvidis did (which we all admit was wrong /999) gives YOU the justification to SPIT ON our team for the rest of eternity. And that is the truth of it. No logic. No fairness. You are the same as your POK teams. An opportunity is presented and you've seized it. Now you feel justified. At least your presidents know they are corrupt rimalia. Keep on believing. /karmaisabitch /999 /blind /chickens /winatallcosts /titansofathens
  24. That is what I am afraid of Yiankos. Once (if ?) Mitsotakis gets into government I don't think his government will be friendly towards Savvidis and I can see Marinakis getting more involved again. He won't be hiding out so much as he is now biding his time in England.
  25. Superb post Yiankos. The titans of Athens! Ha ha ha.
