  1. DUDE your list is all these Englishmen....... its really not that realistic at all.

English players very rarley leave England, they hate abroad, its like putting cat in water. With very few exceptions (pretty much all to Real Madrid, McMannaman, Owen, Beckham, Woodgate.... when was the last time a big english player left for abroad? Even the youth, they very very very rarely play abroad man....

Its really a rare thing. I think its because the English rank the EPL as more imporant than any other league including CL, and thats probably why its so rare that they move abroad, theyd most often rather play for the Boltons and Portsmouth and compete in the EPL and battle over 10th place, than go to other leagues... I think any talented youth in England wouldnt even consider OSFP, because theyre so set on the future in the EPL.

Foreign players in England is different though. They arent grown up around the EPL, and are more open to other leagues and teams.

  2. Id be much more scared of Genoa than Blackburn...

Just because Everton beat Zenit doesnt put to rest anything may I add.

Zenit are in the semifinals deservedly. Where are Everton?

Also those bottom English sides are really not worthy of most of the names Euro 2004......

maybe Wolfsburg -Eintracht woud lose to them........

Id much rather draw as PAO the one of the Loser EPL teams out of the big 4 than play any "small" Serie A or Spanish League Team, which are far more dangerous and unpredictable in europe. When English teams arent at their best like the top 4 are now PAO will have the advantage..

  3. its a shame I really thought this Arsenal side was finally worthy of a final (not that garbage side they fielded in 2005)

they played well this tournament, and its such a shame that seconds later they gave up a penalty... Liverpool really are lucky every year to get as far as they do....

that Walcott run and pass - finish was :nw:

    very exciting game.....

I was hoping for Roma but they were just lame...Manchester showed they had more class....

Man U vs Barcelona .........

and its a GOOD barcelona and a GOOD Manchester side......Finally!

its been a long long time since Man U been this far, and finally have a team worthy of their old days as well.......this one is going to be a great match!

I do admit that I hate English sides, but this year theyre simply very good and deserve to be there.

I think next year is going to have a great competition also.... one of the most compettive EVER......

were looking at very strong clubs that actually are looking more better than they have been in recent years, all taking part in the competition :o

    Manchester United

    Liverpool

    Arsenal

    Chelsea

    Barcelona

    Real Madrid

    Inter

    Milan (hopefully!)

with the Return of old timers:

    Bayern

    Juventus

    Atletico

    Ajax

    FC Porto

    PSV

    Benfica

    possibly La Viola (Fiorentina )

    Steaua Bucharest

and dangerous newcomers like Zenit St Petersburg :nw:

and the even the usual losers of the tournament are starting to put up fights:

    Fenerbache

    Olympiakos

every team will be very dangerous!

  4. cutting it to 2 teams per nation will weaken the competition but will strengthen the uefa cup which is poorly attended particularly in the early stages. personally i'm in favour of that, i'd go further and have only the champions of each country and the holders, then the uefa cup would be really strong, also the cup winners cup should be reintroduced.

i think man u will win it, but you can't rule out arsenal. barcelona are 8pts behind an average real side(average by their standards) so i can't see them do anything.

i've said it for a long time the english league is way ahead of the rest

The English elite (top 4) are way better than any other countries top 4, but the English league overall is not that good. That's why they're all getting battered in the UEFA Cup...

Blackburn fell to Larisa, while Everton, Spurs and Bolton are all on the verge of going out.

    exactly...

the Top 4 of England are great teams.... the rest are good, but realistically I cant see any team in the next 10 years winning the EPL except for one int big 4.. the talent gap is huge.... unless and Abramovic type deal happens to another team...

also in UEFA remember Bolton and Blackburn couldnt hold their own with OUR superleague midtable teams.....

as for the Big 4 making it in Europe.....

theyve all started doing things right whats to say....theyre fantastic teams finally and not just overrated junk (sorry, in the last recent years, they were really not that good)

Liverpool won the CL in a year they were just ok and extremely lucky.......

Arsenal went to the finals and they were incomplete team (they were really just pure defensive football themselves and Villareal screwed it by missing that awful PK and making just terrible decisions on the field when the game was in their hands...

But now Liverpool has a lot of recent experience, Arsenal's youth is becoming superb and Henry's departure has allowed them to develop as a team and there better than Ive ever seen them. Chelsea's stars have years of experience now, and Manchester United are good but basically little bastard Ronaldo has basically become the World Player of the Year....

NOW theyre on top of Europe, and its deserved.

  5. My new jersey finally arrived (thanks to XXX18T's help  ) !

  9. the highlights are only faseis from Houston - but of course!

Bias, terrible commentary you can tell just by the cut clips

and heres a suggestion: LEARN TO PRONOUNCE.

Why is it important one ignorant would ask?

    BECAUSE ITS THEIR JOB.

If youre paid to commentate - SPEAK you should be able to SPEAK properly.

    panthenAkohs.....PLEASE. hatifretus...DISGRACE HATZI-VRETTAS is EASY to say.

Dropi stous Pana8hnaikoi stis eksedres - 2000 k den akousame kamia trela na deiksoume tous Houstonians pws einai ta pragmata sto real world...like a LEOFOROS 2007-2008 atmosphere ........

I can only hope that the team and fans improves and beats the Spurs...

F*** NBA and Team USA Basket!!!!!! Nbaers Come to ATHENS, play the WORLDS rules and bring extra shorts for when you piss yourselves :box:

  10. AEK mafia :

    no respect for you.

    As for the game:

    TERRIBLE........

The players just had a terrible game for one - Jaskevicius couldnt hit field goals, and our next "american for 2months" got a lot of playing time - honestly we should give up on these American losers.....theyre always terrible (except for Mike) and never commit....Perperoglou would have done much better than this Winston jackass...

I wish we'd go for big Spanish or Italian players for a change...we can afford them, and they have plenty reason to come to Greece....

    But there are some excuses:

    One its a friendly......

We were missing key players such as Spanoulis and Zisic and Alvertis :nw:

NBgAy rules mean longer quarters, longer 3 point lines and other wierd things

We were away and just sloppy that day

WHAT IM still wiating for is why the hell cant we bring these a***** to OAKA for a change after all these years??? NBA teams are in europe every year, playing smaller teams we as PAO should be practicing with them every preseseason at least one match, why didnt we have one game for the fans - not in TEXAS at least, make it in Athens......THEN well see in front of the loudest fans in Basketball how these guys can play...

  11. Why not be ambitious and go for unhappy former greats like Shevchenko?

dont be ridiculous OSFP cant afford him, and hes 31 - not washed up hes been wasting time with Chelsea....his heart is in Milan, if hes leaving London, its to finish his career with Milan...Greece no way, he wont do it, and his wife wont either.
