  1. I have heard the new Metal Gear Solids are great.

Man..I am way behind. I remember the first Metal Gear for Playstation. Simply incredible game. MGS2 was great, I had borrowed a PS2 from a friend and faked sick to miss class and played it all day  Didnt finish it though...

I could totally fall back into the world of games, but I cant stand the constant need for upgrades.... Be it PC, Console (Console I gave up on after first PSX), plus not having the time etc...

I dont understand though how Call of Duty 4 can be on a console. Personally it makes no sense having those shooter type games without a mouse and a keyboard...Its impossible to do anything accuratley/fluidly with a controller IMO.

  2. about Phelps swimmer hes 23 now so i guess he was 19-20 back in Athens...hes not doping I dont think. He seems to invite them to test him because hes clean...I beleive him really. The man is basically a dolphin.

Bolt has got to be tested IMO. He smashed the record, and in the last strides even slowed and started waving his arms up - thats unreal. Its no disrespect, but smashing world records, got to ask the question.

Everybody should be tested, otherwise, the concept makes absolutley no sense. You cant only test "randomly" the idea is not to allow banned substances.

But, I wont be surprised if the IOC is balancing them out intentionally.

If people found out Phelps and Bolt were doped out of their minds - would the media shift its whole attention to the Olympics every year? When they find out, that nearly all athletes are doping, are people going to even care when records are broken anymore?

I feel like theres incentive for IOC to not want to expose every case, and let records to be "cheated" as it draws great press for the Olympic Games, and if theyre all frauds, then the integrity is shot. They need to make it seem real??? I mean record breakers - everybody loves them. People get excited...If nobody could take them seriousl anymore the IOC's Games would be hurting big....

  3. Devetzi got the bronze......3 medals in a day not bad. finally some improvement.

    :gr:

    In other news:

    Pavlidis (boxer) eliminated

weightlifting went today, in the same category of weight, not in lifting though. No hope of getting medals there this year anyways. But please, pick Greece for every doping test.... and nobody else

  4. Bad Olympics so far for Greece indeed, but again, there's still time to pull out a few medals.  I wouldn't venture to say that these are the worst Olympics of all time for us, at least not yet.  It wasn't that long ago where getting ONE medal, even bronze, was a huge success for Greece.  Looking at some historical medal counts:

    1992: 2 golds

    1988: 1 bronze

    1984: 1 silver, 1 bronze

1980 (boycotted by the US and many others): 1 gold, 2 bronze

    1976: none!

    1972: 2 silver

    1968: 1 bronze

    1964: none

    1960: 1 gold

    ...and so on

I'm still optimistic we can come away with a few medals, though not as many as in 2000 or 2004, which was to be expected....just consider that most of our weightlifting team was disqualified before the games even started...they've been the source of several medals since 1996, even one of our two in 1992.

As an aside, I think several countries will see dropoffs in their medal count, with China's meteoric rise this year.

Yeah I didnt realize.....I really dont remember any Olympics before 96 so......

But yeah I know about weightlifiting....that will hurt us.

It seems like were going to get a few medals afterall...at least were in contention now that Athletics started...

I responded to your other post in the Free Greek TV threads BTW

  5. Hi Drakos,

Which links were you trying to use on my site which were not working? There's at least 40 or 50 stations there so I doubt every single one wasn't working, though I would not be surprised if NET-ET1-MEGA-ANT1-ALPHA etc. were all not accessible. The links are not broken, however, those streams fill up to capacity at certain hours and are sometimes impossible to reach, while at other times, when those servers are close to capacity, the picture and/or audio breaks up. Best bet would be to try back later if that happens.

I've also placed links for live Olympic coverage, including the Eurovision.tv link and several others, including NET-ET1-ET3 if you can get through, at www.media.net.gr/livesports.htm (link is also at the top of the live TV page, www.media.net.gr/livetv.htm)

i remember trying to access NET/ET1 and not working...the other channels i didnt try...

i tried them last week, but no offense really, i stumbled on a few sites like yours and they practically 100% of the time are missing working streams, so i just dont bother anymore.

IDK alot about streaming technology, but anything that fills up or lags I just dont want to deal with anymore (like it used to) so I find it best to find professional pay services or something mainstream like eurovisionsports.tv

  6. NBColympics.com also has free high quality legitimate streams of severla sports live an recorded u get to choose from a menu..It was really good when i used it but im in greece stuck with shity greek dialup so i cant really use it

you cant use it anyways. NBC only offers it availble in the USA. Wont work here, tried.

    www.eurovisionsports.tv

needs IE, adobe flash player. all free and compleltey legal streams no commenatry. Dial Up wont help you get anything, but if your desperate.

Works in Greece. If not, go buy a cheap TV for the summer NET and ET1 got all you want to see...

  7. and iakovakis qualifies for semis in the 400m hurdles

    ---

who will get their first medal

    Grecce or Canada or neither

he was really good....he had a very hard group...and qualified comfortably.

Looks like we could get some medals in real events though.....not 50kg womens 40m air pistol and other stupid garabage "sports"

  8. Yeah some suprises......worst one being AEK

    For me

    Dnipro - Bellinzona 3-2

Dnipro is usually tough team, and Bellinzona made the cup via semifinals of Swiss Cup (theyre a 2nd division team) ........ Quite a good game, they are still alive in Europe........

    Forza Ragazzi!

Djurgarden beating Rosenborg 2-1 was kind of a suprise too really...

    Still 1 more leg though....

  9. it seriously is...catastrophic.

I feel the only thing that can save us is a bronze or silver from the Basket team. (because we dont have any olympic medals there)

Ping Pong lost today too..but to China so it was expected.
