if his 'attitude' stays like that than you will see more coaches this year then you did last.... a president needs to be a fan yes, but he needs to be the president first, buisness is buinsess, being upper management means you have to keep a cool head and MOTIVATE, not just throw someone out bc of acouple bad results..if every president fired their employee after a bad results a company would collapse in a year... as for your comment on the "marinakis didnt even wat lienen" please look at the other topic for my response... dont go comparing pao with oly just bc you are upset that your team is already unstable....

i mean for instance...you bought giannis papadopoulos from iraklis for around 800,000 euros, and now you signed ibagaza, you have maresca and dudu and looking to sign another centre midfielder...sure they all play slightly different roles, but where and when he is going to get a chance to play...he is 21 and with first team TOP football could turn into an absolutely fantastic player while in the process replace our ageing national team midfield..he doesnt have to start but play him for god sakes, instead you will have a 34 yr old ibagaza who probably wont be able to play a full 90 minutes... you replace the other papadopoulos with modesto... :( you have fetfatzidis and soiledis who for me are two of the most talented young players in the nation..incorporate them into the team...they are turning 20...they are good enough to start against lower to mid level super league teams...fetfatzidis especially... niklitsiotis played in dubai last year at that mini-tournament thing and he scored a bunch of goals and looked absolutely incredible...but instead oly are going to buy a player like pantelic or something... i know this is alittle exaggerated and not 100%relevant but look at barca specifically players like busquets and pedro...slowly guardiola incorportated them into the squad and low and behold they both made HUGE progress and were stars for the national team in the world cup...when busquets came into the barca team, the fans werent really that thrilled but look at what happend...he started in spains midfield that won the world cup... its just sad that all these players exist in our country but will probably only end up mediocre players bc they dont have a team or coach to support and build their talent professionally...instead of turning into the leaders and figureheads of our nation.... ok, im done...sorry :D

usually a teams asking price is never the price that is in the final agreement... the reason why there arent any greeks on your side is not bc they are THAT expensive, maybe they are a bit overprices but im sure the teams can agree to this player for 500.000 (i could give you about 100 examples of this)..its bc the club prefers to fill the spots on the team with foreign player bc they think that will make the fans happy... instead of slowly integrating younger talent or talent from the youth team into the club, they go out and buy some mediocre foreign player, send the young guys on loan and they end up playing in low level or b ethniki teams their whole careers...ive seen so much potential WASTED bc a big club send a promising player to kallithea or ionikos (ktl) on loan and they never develop... im not just saying this for OLY, it just happends to be a good example this year...it isnt just oly, so im not attacking your club, please dont think i am, its most clubs throughout greece..we have this complex that overpaying for a foreign player is a better solution then integrating younger talent into the team that could potentially be the future of the club...(eg ninis, mitroglou) the only reason panathinaikos are giving young talent a chance is bc they have a greek coach how knows the young players around the country... the only reason aek is doing it is bc they have no money to buy 'big name' players... where would ninis be now if munoz never gave him a chance and integrating him..and mitroglou? they would be roting at some crap club... i hope oly buy both players...and PLAY them bc in 4, 5 years they have the potential to be the stars of our country on an INTL LEVEL...pay 700,000 for them now, get multiple millions some years down the line....the talent is there, our top team have to USE THEM... sorry for the long post, i just see so much great talent wasted and it annoys the hell out of me...instead we see players like holebas, bousaidi and other mediocre foreigners at our club...(and we both know, panathinaikos have had TONS of these)

you dont need to drive to paiania anymore, the proastiako (which is the suburban train) runs through there as does the metro now too(the line that runs to the airport)... i lived in between vrilisia and halandri for a while as my family owns an apt out there and used to drive out there (before i had license :D ) to try and see some of the training sessions...i have fond memories of those drives

over the past two days oly have been linked with south african shabalalalalalalaaaa(who scored that fantastic goal in the world cup) and NYRB player Macu Kandji... the names keep pilling up...dont we all love these reports in greece ;)
-
if oly sign BENNARD YAO KUMORDZI (thats his real name, but i like crazy's...greek-ified name better :D ) it will be your best signing of the off season...forget rommedahl and ibagaza who are at the end of their career...forget riera who is overpriced...this player is fantastic, young (25) and has all the attributes to become a world class player...with a big club like oly and the backing of a coach like linen he could be a huge coup for you guys... get him for 2 million now, sell him for 6 million in 1-2 years...i guarentee his pricetag will go up AT LEAST 200% after a season or two at a club like oly... for paos sake i hope you dont get him, but as neutral, this would be a fantastic signing..panionios are really playing hard ball though so it might be tough...i doubt epstein will really decrease his value though...
-
according to reports out of italy newly promoted lecce are being heavily linked with tziolis
-
i agree BUT he is winning the penalties as well...which means he is getting himself into dangerous positions...
-
he won and scored yet another penalty vs sporting the other day...

i want to raise a question..and though it seems like crazy is the only real OLY fan posting at all in forum i want to know how you feel about this.... the club has let one of the best young greek talents go and has signed 8 foreigners...nikopolidis, torosidis and avraam will be the only greek players expected to be permanently in your starting line up..you could argue mitroglou, but i doubt he will be starting week in, week out, regardless, i hope to see him used and developed...other than that the club has galitsios and gianni papadopoulos (who probably wont see much time bc of all the foreigners) from a neutral perspective i see pao this year giving a significant amount of time to players young talents like ninis and marinos and with players like ioannidis, lazaro and petropoulo being back ups. not to mention to old guard in karagounis, katsouranis, vyntra, tzorvas and spyropoulos (who is still only 26) paok are developing talent like maleza and papazoglou...they also have koutsianikoulis who hopefully will be used more and more...not to mention salpi, chalkias and fotakis. aek have young talents like gentsoglou, makos, manolas, argyriou and a star waiting to be born in intzoglou(everyone heard it here, this player is one to watch), who will all see good time this year...also having karabelas, arabatzis and lagos who are all still at a good age 25-26..they have lymbe, kafes and dellas there too which will definitly help the younger players. then you look at aris who had a team with nearly all foreigners last year picking up players like kasnaferis, papazaharia, mendrinos not too mention sifakis (25) aravidis (who should develop into a nice little player) and the older players like lazaridis and prittas... what im trying to ask is do you see any opportunity for your youth talent(which oly has alot of quality youth players) with all the foreigners in there...how is that going to effect the greek national team in the future..and how do you as fans see that? dont we want our best talent playing at our best teams? look what happen to inter and italy this year...this is a direct result of young italian players not getting the chance to develop at their top clubs...i am happy pao, aris and especially AEK (who have ALOT of great young talent that will play, not to mention players like pliatsikas and sokratis that have moved on) and i was pretty dissapointed to see papadopoulos leave oly to be replaced by modesto... is it that important to oly to take back the league this year as to neglect the development or existance of greeks in the squad?
-
he has scored two goals in celtics tour in north america, one against man united and one against the seattle sounders..both i believe were well taken penalties as he also won the penalty against seattle... he is becoming a bit of an 'enigma' as the celtic manager has claimed... newly promoted hercules in spain have been trying hard for his signature though...a move to spain would be good for him but im not sure for a club that is most likely going to return to the segunda....
-
im pretty sure he has signed...there was a slight problem with the player exchange but i think the transfer went through no problem and aek will receive 600.000 euro as opposed to 200.000. a fantastic move for him...when he was at aek i thought to myself that one day this kid will develop into one of the best greek players out there and if he plays at milan, which i think he definitly will, his development will sky rocket... expect some great things for this kid in the near future...

he is preparing to be loaned out to torino for the season.
