  1. How many years does he have left? It would be short-sighted and to our eventual detriment to start him over a younger guy like Karnezi, as a contingency in case our regular starter gets hurt though he would be very good.

  2. YOU CANT BRO. YOU CANT JUST COMPARE the GREEK DEFENSE WITH THE ONE OF TAJIKISTAN AND PAKISTANS AND THE TEAMS SOCCEROOS PLAY IN ASIA. GIANNOU COULDNT SCORE 4 AGAINST Kalloni who got demoted. Anything UEFA related is at least 10 levels higher than AFC low tier teams. even the Greek B division. No wonder that the best teams of Asia managed in WC 2014 to just get disqualified from the first round.

  3. Might have to make my way down to the hotel or a training session when the boys are in Melbourne and meet some PAOK players for the first time in my life!!

  4. You're right. He shouldn't be held accountable for what his father has done. I would choose Kyriakos (I'm also on a first name basis with him) if and when he renounces the old ways of graft and nepotism in Greece. Yeah right, not going to happen. The only difference in Greece between left/right, PASOK/ND, Tsipras/Mitsotakis is who is performing the corruption. It's always been that way in Greece. Nothing new under the sun. I don't care for left, I don't care for right, I don't care for Tsipras and I don't care for Mitsotakis or any other "political" groups in Greece. To me, they are all for the tip. I'd like to know why you think electing any new leader (even a fair and competent one) will now make any difference to the people of Greece. It may make a difference to the elite, or to the multi nationals looking to capitalise on easy opportunities, but to the average person it won't make a difference who is elected. And that is because ... drum roll ... Greece can't scratch its left nut without asking permission from Germany. So I just find this hatred towards Tsipras (and yes it does come across the way) surprising. Yeah sure, he's a stooge, but I wouldn't call him ... evil. I don't think he's there planning the destruction of Greece or the average person. He's just caught up in a situation that is beyond him. Besides, who really could do anything to really help Greece now anyway ? Oh yeah, Kyriakos will come to the rescue. I find it difficult to believe Kyriakos understands the needs or plight of the average Greek citizen, or has ever spent a waking moment ever thinking about them. I will say this though. It will be a miracle if he isn't the next Greek Prime Minister. I mean, the kid deserves it. His father and connections had nothing to do with him being in the position he's in. It's ... normal to have generation and after generation of family members in parliament in a modern functioning democracy. And this is what we want ...

  5. Your comments when it comes to Greek politics are delusional bordering on fanatical. Darling ? Free pass ? Greeks don't mind ? Really ?

  6. The playoffs are going ahead tomorrow as planned, EPO tried to make a threat by saying they aren't assigning refs but that fell in their face. They also had Super League and Kontonis once again reject the 15th May for the kypello, they cant just schedule the kypello smack bang in the middle of the playoffs and that's after it was said the kypello has been postponed for 10 days. Bajewy Oly need to qualify 1st for CL no guarantees for them this time and their season will start much earlier than usual roughly late June as CL qualifiers begin late July once Euro 2016 in done..... As for Meli finding millions we all know he has it, that's not the issue, the issue is how does he get the money into AEK?

  7. The Dutch league just ended with Ajax losing an almost certain championship in extremis. They only had to win against a team that all season struggled to survive in the Eredivisie. They stuck to a draw and PSV clinched the title. My thoughts went to Barcelona: Manchester United vs Bayern Munchen. Franz Beckenbauer walking down the stairs from the skyboxes to the pitch to hand over the cup as Bayern was leading with a few minutes. When he was at the half of the stairs the equalizer was made. When he was at the pitch the winner was just scored by United. He was flabergasted. Share your great or sad moments from memory lane.

  8. if they played at toumba there would be no more than 8-9k there (that might be being generous) The problem in Greece is the same all round, the fans barely to give two stuffs about there own team (reflected in attendance numbers) let alone the Ethniki. Another thing that would be an issue in Thessaloniki is the "organwmeni" or "ultras" would not step foot near the ethniki as they see it as "Athenian" and it stands for everything that is anti-PAOK in Greek football. But if we make the final 16 of the world cup or quarters of the Euro, we are all proudly Greek and all take to the streets waving our flags. Its the Greek way
