a couple things - how did the bosnians get past security with the flares? - is it me or is dzeko instigating violence when we go to over there?? sickening ! and his attitude and statement as to why he was kicked out of the game is shameful. everyone whom is Bosnian should be ashamed as to why he is acting like a spoiled little B^TCH! you pulled someones shorts down! like really!!! and then pushed him to the ground! you started s%$#! and have the balls to be a bitch!!!! and for the banner about the Bosnian genocide, I do not condone that! we should know better as we are victims of genocide ourselves! security should have stopped that s%$#! from coming in as well.3 points

http://lib.tilesport.tv/videos/40682/Φλέκας-Ίσως-χωρίς-Έλληνες-φιλάθλου Seems Greek fans wont be going Bosnia next match and you can hardly blame them for not going. Because some dopes wana pull out banners and Serb flags without thinking the damage/danger it can cause or put some fans in who want to follow the NT in all its qualifiers. That is also the trombeta that was taken after the Belarus game at knifepoint.....2 points

Hold on a second. Wasn't the point of the UK leaving for UK parliament to have sovereignty? Gina Miller launched a legal challenge on the basis of the crown not being able to take away rights enshrined in statute. If you thought the EU was unaccountable, how is an unelected PM using centuries old royal prerogative any better? How is that better for the people? Parliament should vote to leave the EU and be done with the issue. But it wouldn't be the first time a Brexiter is misinformed. Terrific, you're citing sources that all decided judicial independence should be done with. Those three rags are worthless. Every person in this country has links to Europe considering we are in Europe. Perhaps instead of finding links to Europe, people should focus on the integrity and professionalism of these legal professionals, and understand the legal precedents involved. Or the unelected PM should've just gone through parliament in the first place. When has it ever been the case a PM can just overturn statute? What is the plan by the way? Is it BoJo telling Italians they will lose the ability to sell proseco in the UK? Oh it's a secret. No it's not that either, the leaked memo gave away there is no plan.1 point

I think greek fans will be fine in bosnia mostly because of the massive police presence. It will be seen as a game of high risk and bosnia usually does well at keeping people safe. It shouldn't be like this though there needs to be more respect , had this game finished without srebrenica banners or flag burning like last time we wouldn't even be having this convo. It's positive that lots of greek people and some greek media have spoken up against the banners and I think that actually means something to the bosnian people.1 point

Haha, I just have a genuine interest in the Greek teams situated in the diaspora and therefore I'm trying to follow Hellas and Olympic the best I can. If the bid is accepted I hope the majority of you Greeks down under put rivalries aside and all support Hellas in the A-league. Without having too much information about the Greek community in Australia it would probably benefit a lot from having a Greek team in the A-league, which is probably why "they" are hesitating to let Hellas in..1 point

But 70km is nearby, its a 1 hour drive away max. Larisa is served by (the newly upgraded) Volos airport, it's not an issue. Karaiskakis is for example 50km away from Athens airport, while Zenica (where Bosnia plays) is also 70km away nearest airport (Sarajevo). In my opinion there is no doubt that the Greek national should play at various across the nation, so that as many as possible gets the chance to watch the team. Spain, Italy, Germany, Holland, Portugal, etc all play their games in different cities. Larisa having the best stadium should be our new main venue. From there on Pankritio and Pampeloponnisiako should also get games, while a stadium in Thessaloniki should be picked. Vikelidis would be the best, but Kaftantzoglio is more likely. Xanthi arena should be a candidate for the least prolific friendly games.1 point

Melbourne victory have tried to create the illusion that they have a Hellas footprint by bringing in just about anyone they can from Souths NSL past, trimboli is the football manager, they have had Ange as coach, Muscat played for Hellas, dean anastasiadis is the goalkeeper coach, they had Mehmet durakovic in the past as coach as well, and they were part owned by Harry stamoulis for a long time who was a past benefactor of hellas and he owns one of melbournes 2 Greek newspapers so he would try hype them as a mini Greek influenced club which was laughable, they also have Greek sponsors like dodoni and Delphi bank who previously sponsored south. WIth all the above they managed to con about 80% of the Greek community. Anyone who tries to link hellas to that scum franchise makes my blood boil. we will never be in the A league, nor will Olympic, they don't want us, if this was a genuine open bidding process we would be a walk up start, our bid already has $5 million behind it, we have a 40 year lease on lakeside stadium with crowds of only 1500 in the top flight needed to break even, with that we have arguably the best stadium deal in the country, and in February our social club/restaurant/bar will finally open, unlike these plastic franchises we would be making a killing on gamedays. We have the junior and women's infrastructure in place. Coverage in Melbourne was huge yesterday it was all over radio even the bogan stations. The herald sun revealed that the article they put online generated more traffic than cricket and AFL stories put together and was the 4th most viewed onlinearticle in on their platform ever, that's insane. but we are dirty wogs and therefore don't deserve a chance, so they will probably put in Geelong or something. Then again when your own community does you over what's the point, I read so many comments online yesterday from ex hellas fans I know who shot down our bid.." we created this league to keep them out" etc, bunch of turncoat fkwits.1 point

Why would Greek fans want to go to Bosnia in the first place? It's dangerous to go for a football match. Bosnian fans would be seeking retribution.1 point

I know the guys who were attacked personally and they are a great bunch of guys who support Greece in EVERY game they play whether it be a friendly or a qualifying match, what these guys did to them is a F***en disgrace. Taso (trumpet man) has been in football for over 40 years playing the trumpet for PAOK and the NT since 2004. Nikos Flekkas (president) is a good guy and loves the NT, he also has the only Greek NT football Museum in Crete. It obvious it was Oly fans who did this, there were fans in there chanting Oly and bagging Tzavellas, they also think the reason why they went for the trumpet was because of the train incident between Oly and PAOK fans last week. Greeks need to put their club s%$#! aside when the NT plays but sadly I don't think that will ever happen.1 point

No re I didn't mean it like that. I do the same. I'm always using Greece in FIFA 17, I'm always trying different formations and new players. I also try and keep it realistic with the squad. I believe Kone offers more than Bakasetas but Bakasetas is talented and needs more time. Fetfatzidis outshines both of them.1 point

F**k Melbourne Knights. Can't stand those f**kwits. Apologies in advance to my Croatian neighbour who is a decent person.1 point

We CANT go to Belgium with the same style we are playing as we will get raped. Skibbe needs to change things, especially our middle I really don't see how Maniatis and Samaris (if they both start) will handle the Belgium midfield, they will over power us big time. I think Sokrati/Manolas can do a good job on Lukaku, but lets not forget Hazard is in amazing form right now so Toro (if he starts at RB) will have another tough day marking him, then you got De Bruyne to watch, Belgium are a danger all over the park, I honestly cant see us even getting a draw there but I hope Greece prove me wrong.1 point

we can really get a draw against belgium if we stay focused. very exciting campaign.1 point

This is something a lot of people don't understand, and the posters of this specific forum seems to understand it the least. On national team level experience and continuity is the key. You cant call up everyone that has had 3 good games in the superleague. The Germans has understood this, that's why players like Klose, Podolski and Khedira would always be called up, regardless of club form. Joachim Low could rely on them no matter what. If it was up to the the majority of the members of this forum, Siopis would have started a crucial game against Bosnia. It sounds like a bad joke, but it's not.1 point

Great player. Really enjoyed watching him play for Bolton, who actually had a pretty decent side. Ivan Campo with his crazy hair and one of my favourite players to watch Jay Jay Okocha with his ridiculous skill.1 point

This would be great if it was allowed to go ahead, South Melbourne should be in A League but that ethnic background wont help their cause.1 point

Realistically they are the only club from Melbourne that is possibly viable. No one else comes close. South Melbourne are in that situation where they are too big for the State League but possibly not big enough for the A-League. If they are given the support that was offered to other A-League clubs, it could happen. Not sure about the clubs from Sydney. I'm sure at least one or two could also do the same. I would definitely have egg on my face if this happened. About 2 years ago I met up with a friend who happens to be related to the South Melbourne President who also came and had coffee. Humble guy, real nice. Not your typical Greek who tries to show off. It wasn't until about an hour into the conversation that we got to talking soccer and I found out he was the president of South. Anyway, he was telling me about all the work they're doing behind the scenes to get into the A-League and I said with all sincerity that they had zero chance of this happening. He was politely of the opinion that it will happen one day. We shall see. Good luck to them.1 point
