Anastiadis would definitely be better than Skibbe, but I'm unsure whether a Greek coach is the way to go. I'm hoping on Carlos Queiroz personally.

This is Greece, even a 15k stadium will not sell out every week. Let's not forget if we finally get a new stadium, we will have to stay there for at least 50 years, and more likely closer to 100. Building an inadequate stadium will be a huge mistake. Goudi is pretty much a blank canvas, there's no reason to not build a 40k+ stadium.

I'm skeptical towards this for several reasons. Firstly I doubt it will ever happen. Secondly a "plain stadium with a 30-35k capacity" doesn't sit well with me. Panathinaikos needs a prestigious 45k stadium. Lastly I think Votanikos would be a quite better location, although that's not the main priority.

But 70km is nearby, its a 1 hour drive away max. Larisa is served by (the newly upgraded) Volos airport, it's not an issue. Karaiskakis is for example 50km away from Athens airport, while Zenica (where Bosnia plays) is also 70km away nearest airport (Sarajevo). In my opinion there is no doubt that the Greek national should play at various across the nation, so that as many as possible gets the chance to watch the team. Spain, Italy, Germany, Holland, Portugal, etc all play their games in different cities. Larisa having the best stadium should be our new main venue. From there on Pankritio and Pampeloponnisiako should also get games, while a stadium in Thessaloniki should be picked. Vikelidis would be the best, but Kaftantzoglio is more likely. Xanthi arena should be a candidate for the least prolific friendly games.

Moving on to Belgium I think Skibbe really has no other option than to play with 3 center backs. Let's face it, we have no other option than to park the bus and hope to kill them on counter attacks. As most people probably still remember Italy beat them 2-0, playing 3 CBs. So that's a formation Belgium has struggled with before. Also I think Mitroglou has no business starting. He's way too slow, and if we're going to play on the counter we need a striker that can exploit the room the Belgian defenders will leave behind them. With other words, I think Karelis is the perfect fit for the match. This is how we should play with the current form of our players: KARNEZIS Manolas Sokratis Tzavellas Torosidis Stafilidis Zeca Maniatis Samaris Fortounis Karelis The midfield is the only questionable positions, with Zeca being the only secure. Hopefully Maniatis will have found a new club, while Samaris needs to get his act together on the NT. Mantalos and Kone should both be candidates for their spots, although Skibbe seems to have an issue with the later.

This is something a lot of people don't understand, and the posters of this specific forum seems to understand it the least. On national team level experience and continuity is the key. You cant call up everyone that has had 3 good games in the superleague. The Germans has understood this, that's why players like Klose, Podolski and Khedira would always be called up, regardless of club form. Joachim Low could rely on them no matter what. If it was up to the the majority of the members of this forum, Siopis would have started a crucial game against Bosnia. It sounds like a bad joke, but it's not.

What would make me feel better, would be imagining that we all of a sudden would become a much better team if a couple of my most disliked players didn't play. Just like you do. But I have my feet grounded on earth.

In my opinion this happens solely because of olympiakos connection to red star Belgrade. These Serbs are getting to the stadium because of the connection they have with oly fans. We saw the same s%$#! against Croatia. It's ridiculous, and gotta stop. I doubt it would have happened at OAKA.

Hahaha this forum cracks me up, no matter what people blame the usual scapegoats. Let's just ignore the fact that everything we have done offensively is down our left side, through Stafilidis and Tzavellas. Let's ignore the fact that 70% of Bosnias chances has started down our right side. Stafilidis is currently our MVP together with Papastathopoulos. Mantalos and Samaris on the other hand has been utter garbage, they have done NOTHING offensively, while being big holes defensively. Many bad touches from Mitroglou as well. Perhaps we should sub Mitro for Karelis and hit solely on the counter.

I think Skibbe has chosen the best lineup possible. Originally I was hoping for Gianniotas instead of Stafilidis, but with the form Stafilidis is in at the moment I think this is the best team we can field. Which means we also have an impact sub in Gianniotas, if needed in second half. Bravo Skibbe.

You haven't got it at all. This has nothing to do with us losing 3-0, some of us has wanted to leave this corrupt league for years. If we, PAOK & AEK create another league obviously we have to start everything from scratch. Without UEFA competitions most players will obviously leave these teams. But on the other hand we would get a fair, more competitive and more exciting league. And less violence.

Heard the chants during the game, it's a disgrace. The national team needs to get out of that stadium asap.
