I wonder what Skibbe sees in Diamantakos, clearly one of the least talented players to wear the national jersey. If not the least talented. Ikonomou is pretty bad as well.

I've said it for two years, the only way to get away from that bullshit is to leave the league, and create a new one together with AEK, PAOK and other clubs with self respect and some fan base.

I'm not a big fan of some of the players starting, but finally we have a coach that uses friendlies to try out some new things! I'm hoping especially Gianniotas will do good tonight.

Some people seem to forget easily. In 18 years Tzigger won us 1 single championship. There are several Panathinaikos fans with money, not just Alafouzos and Vardinogiannis.

When the family took over the club Panathinaikos were already the biggest football club in Greece. We were already a recognized name in Europe. The family took over a fully successful club, and instead of taking us to the next level, they left after letting oly and kokalis take control domestically with their paranga, and after achieving almost no European success under Tzigger.

We kicked them out after 30 years, not after one or two years. In this time they should definitely have built a stadium for the club. If they had done it, they wouldnt be kicked out in the first place. Peanina was hardly built by the family's funds, yet when they left they kept it just to see it rotten while the club was left without a training ground. What good did the family exactly do for the club?

I don't know if he has agreed with them already, but the gayroi does not need any loophole. Risvanis contract with Panionios expires this upcoming summer, so he can sign for whatever club he wants in January. That a$$ clown Anastasiou should be sued for criminal acts against the club for releasing Risvani. Alafouzos should obviously also have put his foot down in this case.

Nah he's better than both of them, Vertonghen is rarely even preferred at CB for the red devils.

I'm quite surprised they're brothers because the younger one has a full set of long hair, while the older one is going bald at the age of 19 lol. Either way, the older one has been playing well the times I've seen Iraklis play. Shame we didn't keep him either, he would be a nice backup to Ledesma.

It will be very interesting to see if Skibbe holds on to a four man defence against the stronger teams of Bosnia and Belgium, or if he changes to a 5-4-1. Greece has at the moment four splendid centerbacks that would all be starters in any other team of the group. Obviously Tzavellas can play as a left back while Kyriakos can play DM, but both are best at CB. Having a fit Kyriakos on the bench is a luxury. I've read everything between 8 and 15 thousand, and to me it looked on the lower side. Either way it doesn't matter because Greece should play in more or less full stadiums, thats the point.

I caught myself waiting for Diamantidis to be subbed in against Promitheas and PAOK several times, still cant believe has retired.

I paid 5 € when we played Iceland for a friendly in April (or March?), and kids had free entrance. I don't know how big the crowd was but it seriously felt like we were 350 at the stadium. Simply because OAKA is an outdated stadium with a huge running track, that in no way will make a warm atmosphere for our team, nor look good for international broadcast. Games needs to be moved out of Attica, thats the main issue as the situation stands now.
