He worked for seven years as the "FC Shakhtar International Competitions Department Director", now what that means is up to interpretation, it could be the guy who organises flights when they are in euro comps or it could mean he was in charge of scouting overseas leagues. This isn't a classic PAOK move, the classic PAOK move was firing Frank Arnesen, if this was classic PAOK we would have rehired Vryzas.
^ Yeah he missed that chance but he scored two other goals and two assists in that game. He's Still better than Mitroglou. I'd say top 50 at most for him.
Someone please post the highlights of the gayro game. You will die laughing for the penalty the Irish ref gave them.He should have given 2 red cards to the gayrous. He played 90-10 for the gayro and they still managed to disqualify. O Barba savvas klaei kai odirete mazi me ton bouldoza. Ante tora pate na ftiaxete omada na kerdizete kai tous eunoikous refs. p******kia tis Europe's. Apo tou xronou tha arxinate apo June. ..koprites
I dont buy into budget talks, anyone can beat anyone on their day budgets has nothing to do with it. You were playing Anderlecht and being at home you choked it simple. And that was with the help of the ref also.
lamiara when the chips were down we played the same Belgium team who we toasted in the 1st leg
we ended up with 9 in the return and those kamaria fought like warriors to keep the away leg down to 2-0
I rest my case
Only Fernando Santos would make surprise selections of recalling a 35 year old Gekas if he is in goal scoring form. Santos didn't care if you were 37 or 17 if thought you were valuable to the team for that match. Kapino & Mavrias played for the national team at the age of 16 & 17 while Lymberopoulos, Gekas, Dimitrios Papadopoulos, Kapetanos & a few others have had surprise recalls late in their careers. I'm not sure that the current coaching stuff wouldn't select a 37 year old Gekas if they qualify for Russia 2018 just like Santos selected Lymberopoulos & Chalkias in their late 30's at Euro 2012.
