  1. Hey all. New member here. Very new to football in general (basketball junkie most my life). Falling in love with the sport fast though. Live in Ithaca, NY, great-grandfather is from Metsovo (my last name is Prounis). When I visited Metsovo in 2014, I was told that PAOK was the team to root for, so I figure I would root for them above all else. Also, my wife and I absolutely fell in love with Thessaloniki. It being so hard to follow Greek Superleague from here, though, and shamefully not knowing the language yet, I am in a position where I root for all Greek players being repped in top leagues or competitions. Look forward to learning more about the game (and my ancestral homeland, more broadly) on this forum and having good discussions along the way.

  2. Welcome, glad to have you. You chose a good team to follow; have you noticed yourself getting handsomer these past two years? NOT a coincidence.

  4. The Liverpool and Juventus teams of the early/mid 80s, and the Milan team of the late 80s / early 90s. I'd say as good or better teams than the great Barcelona of recent years. The teams people choose depends on the era they grew up in, and I go back a bit further than most. As for players, agree with the comments about Ronaldo above, but the greatest of all by a country mile was Maradona. Single handedly won serie A titles for Napoli and a WC for Argentina (almost 2).....something Messi has failed to do and probably never will. Nobody comes close to Maradona, perhaps only Pele who was before my time...

  5. I'm confident oly will still go through! We have a good team, we're just a bit unlucky in this match! Budgets are important.....but we are a better side then they are!

  8. All these great songs in a career that only lasted for 3-4 years. Fantasou if he would have been making music for 30+ years more...

  10. Botia's was a red 100% he clipped him on his way to goal as last man. Zuculini's was a penalty for me the ball had left his foot before Maz came and got him As for the penalty Vargas wasn't inside the box so really don't care what they say ,maybe they should look at Roberto's positioning since he moved off his line before it was kicked. As for Didac's tackle I honestly didn't see anything that wrong with it. They can cry foul all they like, nothing will change this 3 points to AEK and Oly's undefeated record is goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooone :)
