  1. Is Skibbe able to motivate this group? I have been saying this ever since Ranieri was terminated. Whomever is coaching this team needs to get in to their heads. He needs to put the fear in to them. To motivate them. If it calls for physically slapping a few of them around, so be it. There is nothing wrong with the playing talent. You can't play for Serie A, Bundesliga clubs, UCL, Benfica etc and then put in petformances like what we've all experienced since the WC. There is something deeply wrong with the psychology in this group. They are the walking dead. There has to be a circuit breaker. I'm not sure what exactly should occur, but Skibbe needs to be seen by his decusions that he's no one's puppet. Vydra, Samaris, Tziolis, Mitroglou and Moras should never be picked again.

  2. The Olympiako posters were lecturing AEK members for posting too often in the Panathinaiko forums.......somehow I feel like the olympiako supporters in here post in the panathinaiko section more than they do in their own

  3. Perhaps I've put in a whole lot more information than you were expecting haha. I myself played at semi-pro NPL level but wasn't good enough/determined enough to be anymore than a fringe player. I now play for a smaller Pontian team in a less competitive league

  4. Was anyone able to answer your question about Greek clubs down under Dutch? If not I'd be happy to list them EDIT: Had some spare time so I've whipped this up. In Australia's national competition that ran from 1977 to 2004 (National Soccer League), most clubs were of ethnic background, Greek, Italian, Croatian, Hungarian etc. Greek clubs that played in this competition came from the cities of, Melbourne (where you have the largest Greek population outside of cities Athens and Thessaloniki) Sydney and Adelaide. Melbourne: South Melbourne Hellas Est 1959- Still the countries most successful ever club. 4X NSL Champions, 1 Oceanic Champions League Title and an appearance in the FIFA Club World Cup (where they played Manchester United). Heidelberg United Est 1958- Formed by Makedones mostly from Florina, 2X NSL runner's up Sydney: Sydney Olympic Est 1957 - 2x NSL Champions Adelaide: West Adelaide Hellas Est 1962 - 1 NSL championship The folding of the NSL started up a new national league (The A League) where clubs of ethnic background were not permitted (at least the more stigmatised ethnicities like Greeks, Italians and Croatians) entry and mostly brand new clubs were born. The Greek clubs mentioned have since played in their domestic leagues in the states of Victoria (Melbourne), New South Wales (Sydney) and South Australia (Adelaide). Seeing as the A League does not have a second tier competition the domestic league, the NPL (National Premier League) is run within each of Australia's states and territories. This is where you'll find many more Greek clubs like the one which you saw in Darwin Olympic who play in the Northern Territory. Domestically clubs and players of ethnic background still dominate, this is why you see players with Greek, Italian, Croatian last names running around in Australian shirts. However not as many as before when the NSL was running. The NPL is a semi-professional level however the big Greek clubs like South Melbourne and West Adelaide still have aspirations of gaining entry into the A League. The two states who's NPL are the nation's strongest in my opinion would be New South Wales and Victoria. I'll now quickly list as many Greek NPL clubs as I know, there are many, many more clubs playing in several other competitions below the NPL also. Victoria: Bentleigh Greens (Cypriot) Northcote City Oakleigh Cannons Port Melbourne South Melbourne Heidelberg New South Wales: Sydney Olympic Hamilton Olympic South Australia: Adelaide Comets Adelaide Olympic West Adelaide Hellas Adelaide Cobras (Cypriot, play in another division below) Western Australia: Floreat Athena Northern Territory: Darwin Olympic Hellenic Athletic Queensland: Olympic FC ACT: Canberra Olympic Tasmania: Olympia FC

  6. Hey guys lets all go to Mykonos... we cant depend on mitroglou to score , but he can score Ninis --fetzfazidis --if healthy should be on the field . And if samaras has a club he should be there too. These players are better than most in Greece. I'm tired of saying it but , we need to field our best players. Why could ninis , not start this game ....

  7. Is the Skibb talking his team up about the first 60 mins, or are some of the posters on the forum too hard markers. Who is the most accurate. I read that the players were sub-par throughout the match. Is this just frustration from posters, cause if we won at the end, the team would of then been described by some as not so bad after-all, I reckon.

  8. Amargos it's not minor tweaks that we need, the big picture is that we should be able to field b and c line ups and beat teams like this and the FI we are in a lot more trouble then just minor tweaks. It's not a mixture of the right players we've tried everyone and we keep getting the dreadful same result.

  12. PAOKSWEDEN I had once seen (about 2 years ago) footage of PAOK and the changes they wanted to make to the stadium and also to have training fields, not sure what happened and why they have gone ahead yet but they also looked very good.... Shame Greece is so f*cked up that they don't want the nation going forward and stopping teams from building stadiums, which will also create jobs for people.....
