  1. Good for you Freezer! First off, I'm a firm believer that sports and politics don't mix. So why should I accept it when it happens in this case vs my country of ancestry? Is that not politically incorrect? I cannot accept that these farmadoroi would go out of their way just to offend us. You disagree? Good for you! By crush I mean I want to see a big scoreline. As in playing them off the field. I never asked to re-occupy Constantinople.. Eisai oreos Freezer, when the Gavs made monkey sounds to Cisse, you were outraged, yet when the Borats will allegedly try to bring up old sensitive issues vs us, you're ok with it... LOL When the Turks leave Cyprus, and start respecting our sovereign airspace and sea ways, I'll consider your optimistic view of how the world should be thank you very much.

  2. Well, this transfer period started off really slowly for us, but it's ramped up in the last week. Overall, I'm happy with our transfers ... even though we're yet to see any of them play except for Olsen. My only criticism of Arnesen, if you could call it that, was his claim that he would be looking for "top shelf" players. I don't think this was ever realistic. A top shelf player isn't coming to PAOK. Maybe one day, but not today. As for his other criteria for player transfers, that they be young and hungry, the transfers are consistent with that. I've said before on this forum that we are better off getting young players for whom coming to PAOK is a big deal, a promotion or step up in a sense. They have everything to prove. Older proven players from better leagues is nice in theory, but as we've seen it's far from guaranteed that they will perform and it's a step down for them. Maybe the drive just isn't there to succeed. I'm not saying it can't work, but in general, most of our transfers should be players at a good age with hunger to succeed. Olsen has started off shaky but let's give him some time and we'll see what he's capable of. As for the rest, I am hopeful they will help add some depth to the team and especially the midfield. It will be good if we can also sign Cimirot for depth (in addition to Sabo). A trio of Kace, Sabo and Cimirot in the middle has a lot of run. We still haven't made any great signings at CB or ST but the transfer period isn't over yet so let's see what happens.

  4. That's my point. I find it odd that when comparing quality between MLS and GSL one would think the GSL is better quality. The MLS has more parity and probably more big names than the GSL at this point.

  5. I would HATE to see Kace leave but this would make a lot more sense to me than playing Sabo/Cimirot/Kace in the midfield. We have a bunch of players who can play as more attack-oriented midfielders (Pelkas, Mistakidis, Pozoglou, Charisis), and I can't see us keeping those young players if we use them indefinitely as subs. All part of the balance Arnesen was talking about a few months back.

  8. Lies about your President?!? LolLet me guess, the prosecution decided to move along by accusing Marinakis with 0 evidence. The as you proclaim vazelomafia is THAT powerful yet only won 2 titles and 3 cups the last 20 years! Please, tell us more about how Alafouzos is wanted in Eastern Block countries! (Irony of ironies Kokkali Sr actually served the East Germans, but don't let facts get in the way of a good story!) lol

  16. Kace/Sabo/Cimirot would be a great midfield. All athletic and have a creative mindset as well, constantly would have us a flowing game with attacks starting from them. As for Pelkas, he has really proved himself. Having him as a first priority sub for a midfielder I think is a little more realistic because I don't think we would of bought Sabo and hopefully Cimirot to be bench players. If we confirm Cimirot I'm happy.

  17. Ughh... this whole nationalistic thing is so retarded.... First off, its stupid for them to bring turkish flags to the game given they have absolutely no real connection to turkey aside from possibily "pissing us off" Second... disappointing that our fans are still buying into this crap.... this whole deep rooted "hatred" between Turks and Greeks needs to end... There are plenty of good Turks out there (and plenty of assholes too).. and same can be said about Greeks.... At the end of the day, we are all the same s%$#!.... Everyone poops.... These deep rooted rivalries are in the past... and the quicker we move on... the better... It's good to remember the past from time to time, to know wher eyou came from... but it shouldnt' affect how we view one another

  18. Atromitos has one of the smartest presidents in Greece they had some bad luck but im always impressed with them. They contribute more to the super league then most of Athens teams.

  21. I have and will be deleting offending posts with no warnings. Dialogue implies civility, otherwise it's an idiot's screaming match--the kind that we don't want here. I'm all for freedom of expression, but there is a way of doing. Because some don't really understand what this means, let me put it in simple terms: does my post contribute to making this forum a pleasant place to hang out? [pleasant for the community, not for the provocateur] is it appropriate for the topic and the place? does it respect the other members? we don't have to agree, but we can respectfully disagree.
