  2. It's been a while since I last posted, I hope everyone is well. Ivan's project for PAOK (if there ever was one) has failed. Aside from winning the league along with some cups, growth comes from having successful stints in European competitions. Nobody cares about a Greek league where some teams don't even play at their own stadium (eg. Kalamata, Kifisia) or where Greek referees are not trusted to officiate games in their own league. Despite their relegation to the third division to avoid paying back €400m debt and their tendency to win games and championships in court, AEK and Iliopoulos have made the CL group stage in just two years. OFI clearly had a plan in place because of Bousis. It took them a few years, but they reached the cup final two years in a row, winning it once along with Super Cup this season. They are now in the Europa League, with two convincing wins. A fantastic achievement for a club like OFI, that usually fields 7-8 Greek players. Savvidis has been at PAOK for nearly 15 years. The only positives are the academy (and that has only seen recent success), two leagues and a few cups. We have done absolutely nothing in Europe. Since Akpom left the team, every Summer has been the same - "we will get a striker if we get into the group/league stage". We got rid of two 30-something year old players (Kedziora and Ozdoev) and brought in two other 30-something year olds in Santamaria and Elustondo. Why? Konstantelias carried the team for the past few seasons, it was only right that he left for bigger and better things (though we should have negotiated him leaving after the games with Brann). There is no plan in place. Most of the players are not good enough and, as bananas said above, it is probably going to be a dull year. My only hope is that they give Lisci more time. Everyone else will have two games a week. If he is able to somehow conjure up some chemistry and make a team that competes then we might actually be in a good position. Highly unlikely, though.

  7. Well at least we made 23 million (or whatever the number is) from selling Delias. Hold on, need to subtract the 15 or so million we lost from not qualifying for Europe. And I guess now less attendance at games, less shirt sales. Now does the sale seem so good and exciting? I think we maybe come out ahead 5 million? Cheap skates. I guess we could've told Dortmund to wait a couple of weeks as we have 2 vitally important games, but that would take balls and wisdom. This is going to be a dull year.
  8. We really shot ourselves in the foot by losing the cup final to OFI. Had we won the cup we would have had a League Phase secured. Not only that, after losing the cup we go and blow a 2:0 lead to Panathinaikos and instead of finishing 2nd we finished 3rd. We only have ourselves to blame for this year's European disaster.
  9. Didn’t think the dream for all 5 Greek teams to make Europe would be ended by us… the money we made off Konstantelias will be offset in part by not making Europe … great. At least everyone else will be focused on Europe. We can sack this manager and win the league. Champions league next year ! Lol
  10. I shoulda put some respect on their name 😮‍💨
  11. Santamaria and Shoretire are rubbish. Game changed when he subbed them off for Taylor and Pelka. We were in control for this period. However, the last 3 subs were baffling. We completely lost our rhythm from this point on. Baba substitution was a complete waste. Taison shoud have been in that position. To acommodate this he moves Pelka to the right. Cost us the match imo.
  12. better start watching PAOK basketball this year
  13. Disgusting. Pathetic. Lost it in the first half.
  14. Omonoia 4-2 Sint-Truidense FT Omonoia qualify for the UEFA Europa League!

  16. Final Sint-Truidense substitution: Janssens IN Pupe OUT
  17. That was a soft penalty. We now have 12 minutes to tie the game.
  18. Penalty it is. Giannoulis yellow too.
  19. Is there VAR? Seems he trips himself.
