What's funny is we didn't particularly play well but we still beat Germany, which says a lot about the calibre of the team now. I think we can play a lot better in the home fixture and really put it to Germany.

Kind of an ugly win. When we actually gathered the balls to attack, we looked pretty decent. I think we're still defensively not great (where's Koulierakis??) but whatever, they got the job done. Goal was kind of a fluke but I'll take it. From what I see, we are now favorites for second place. Pity the league B team that draws Germany in the play off. Inexplicable to play Ioannidis over Douvikas. I was iffy on Tetteh starting but he was pretty decent. I assume our next game vs Germany will be against the guys who walked out of their fancy box after we scored?

Jovanovich NL record and coaching is impeccable in these matches. He needs to replicate it in the Euro qualifiers.

Can't ask for anything other than a win - so kudos to him. But overall, I feel like we were stuck in second gear while we could have easily gone quicker. He was afraid of coping goals like we did in Denmark/Scotland - mission accomplished but we played a style that does not highlight are strengths. Again 2 from 2 so we take it.

Yes I am beyond hyped that we finally beat Germany. I don’t want to sound ungrateful, BUTTT I don’t think Jovanovic is the right guy. Very appreciative of what he has done for us but come on man. The Masouras thing I can kinda get: just defend like your life depends on it. But putting Ionnidis on over Douvikas and Kostoulas is absolutely unforgivable. Same goes with starting Tetteh. Yea he helped open a tired poor Serbian side up but there are levels to this. DOUVIKAS was top 3 in serie a scoring last year and Kostoulas has started hot in the Prem. Ionnidis and Tetteh should be there to make up the numbers that’s it

That win probably solidifies us in POT 1 for the Euro qualifying. I don’t see Serbia getting 3 results in this group.

Wasn’t pretty - but we did it. To be fair, Germany didn’t have many clear cut chances even if they dominated possession. We stuck to the game plan and it worked this time.
