It seems that Tripod does not allow "hijacking" of images residing on their servers - the term "hijacking" is used to describe images referenced on servers other than the host. A lot of content providers don't like it when images are referenced in that manner.

LAZARE I only get this problem with tripod!!!They are complexikoi...

the same happens with geocities. they do not allow hot-linking <_<

i think the rules of the size of pic is abit harsh i mean i cnt find a good avator that would fit to ur standards...

everytime i find a nice pic to use its to large...

why?

That's a different topic Hollywood.

When it comes to avatars the limit is 120x120 pixels (26k max) and for signatures the max image size is 480x100 pixels. We think these sizes are enough to allow for expression. Larger images are annoying to members -- can you imaging visiting a page with 15 posters where each one has large signatures and avatars? We'll be waiting all day for the page to load.

You'll have to upload it to a photo sharing site first. Something like Flickr, Instagram or whatever else is out there that you think suits your needs. A lot of them have apps for mobile phones that integrate nicely with your phone camera.  Once you upload it there, then you can probably get a picture link to share with the rest of the world.
