GS1905
We are absolutely hopeless this season!! :( Pino has been a very poor man's Keita.. Kewell's fast running out of steam despite being the best player overall again.. Neill is no way near as good as he was last term.. I have no idea what the situation about Misimovic is.. It's looking like "Moscow Circus" out there.. Elano has just been sold to Santos for ?2.9M right in the middle of the season.. He was signed for ?6.8M last season.. And that stupid Adnan Sezgin still goes public and says we've profited from Elano!!  Baros is fast becoming a Linderoth.. plays one game, sits out for one month!! :( Turkish players are lacking quality.. Sarp, Barış, Ayhan, Batdal, Balta, Sabri are all underperforming this season.. Servet has been a disgrace!!  Arda has been out with pubis for 11 weeks now!! :( There is nothing going right at Florya these days, and we're moving into our new stadium in January.. God help the CimBom fans!!
GS1905
Somebody has clearly not understood that the reason for Cim Bom terribly underperforming is the lack of any quality in the Turkish players of the team!! And that somebody is the board!! According to many sources, we are after two Argentinian midfielders. The likes of Lucas Biglia and Mauro Formica are regarded key by our board to bring the much-needed force to our ever-leaking midfield. Already having Neill, Cana, Pino, E. Insua, Baros, Kewell and Misimovic on our roster, although the latter not being a part of the team since late October, it would be interesting to see what kind of a team we will field with so many quality foreigners and so many hopeless Turkish players. Why do not we go after quality Turkish MF players to replace Ayhan, Sarp and Barış, I don't know?! In the press conference today, headcoach Hagi declared he would give more playing time to players such as Cumhur and Anıl from the A2 team in the second term, as he wants to build the team for next year. Some reports are also saying the Adnans are after -deep breath!- Colin Kazım Richards, whose contract has just been annulled by Fenerbahce. Though a very ill-disciplined player, I have a gut feeling that Kazım may actually be of good use for our pace-lacking wings. The fact that he is Turkish also looks good. He is for sure better than piss-poor Beşiktaş reject Serdar Ozkan, who is heading towards Antalyaspor according to reports from sporx and ajansspor in a swap deal that would bring -guess who!- Necati Ateş to Galatasaray back after 3,5 years. Long time missing Phantis member Neco_25 may be very pleased to hear that!! According to Milliyet, we are also interested in Spartak Moskva playmaker Welliton. I don't know much about him, but I don't think he would leave an organised Russian outfit still competing in Europa League to join struggling Cim Bom. That's it for transfer rumours now!! Our new striped jersey in the memory of the Ali Sami Yen Stadium is going to be publicised on January 7. The jersey is a re-make of the team's home shirt worn during the 1963-64 season when Ali Sami Yen Stadium opened its doors for the first time. The legendary stadium, who witnessed unforgettably victorious matches such as Real Madrid (3-2), A.C. Milan (2-0, 3-2), Leeds (2-0), Manchester Utd (0-0), FC Barcelona (2-1), Monaco (3-2), Neuchatel Xamax (5-0), Maccabi Netanya (6-0), Olympiacos (1-0), Panathinaikos (1-0) and Deportivo La Coruna (1-0) amongst many others in its 46,5 years of service, is scheduled to host its last game against Beypazarı Şekerspor in the Turkish Cup on January 11. Galatasaray will move to its new stadium Turk Telekom ArenA on January 15 with a friendly game vs AFC Ajax Amsterdam. Photos of the newly built ArenA by December 19, 2010 are given in the link below. Looks impressive!! :nw: Turk Telekom ArenA Photos

We'll pay ?4.5M to the Belgian club in five installments, starting from this month and finishing next June. GS1905
seems like alot of overseas players are going to turkey, has the restriction on foreign players been lifted ? No, js. It's not been lifted yet, the current rule is more stupid than ever. A team is allowed to register 10 foreigners, 6 of them can play on the field at any time of the match. 2 players are allowed on the bench and 2 at home watching TV. So, it's a 6+2+2 rule.Beşiktaş for example had 15 foreigners till a few days ago, now they're getting rid of their foreigners that they won't utilise like Holosko, Tabata and Fink. Galatasaray, by the way, is about to snap up AFC Ajax's Mounir El Hamdaoui on half-a-season's loan, with the option of purchasing the Moroccan striker in May for ?6M. Having always doubted the strikers in the Dutch League, I don't believe he will contribute to us as we'd like.
js1000
that is a strange rule, now say for example the players besiktas want to get rid of are under contract and refuse to leave unless their entire contract is paid up then is seems besiktas would have no choice, the players concerned have the club over a barrel. this rule hinders teams, that said i wouldn't mind a contract there, where i'd be paid to watch TV

That's a fair comment. Beşiktaş is still trying to get rid of Tabata. They loaned Holosko out to Istanbul BB for six months and Fink's contract was stalled to get Almeida and Simao registered. They are still looking for suitable clubs to let Matteo Ferrari, Rodrigo Tabata and even Bobo to join.
GS1905
Cisse to Galatasaray? The link says Bordeaux and Galatasaray tabled undisclosed bids for Panathinaikos's French striker Djibril Cisse, with the better offer coming from the Turkish side, according to declarations from the PAO front. I can't see why he would leave a Greek giant battling for the Championship for a Turkish giant who is having a terrible season in mid-table obscurity. It looks unrealistic to me, this scenario. GS1905
Stancu joins Galatasaray Galatasaray have reached an agreement with Romanian club Steaua Bucureşti for the rights of 23-year-old forward Bogdan Sorin Stancu. The Romanian striker who scored 33 goals in 72 appearances for the Romanian outfit, is set to become the Lions' fourth signing in winter transfer market, after Colin Kazım from Fenerbahce, Emmanuel Culio from CFR Cluj and Yekta Kurtuluş from Kasımpaşa. GS1905
crunch game in Bursa tonight!! Bursaspor, 38 points from 18 matches in 2nd place host Galatasaray, 26 points in 7th place at 7 p.m. in Bursa Ataturk Stadium. Last season's champions Bursaspor drew 0-0 with relegation candidates Konyaspor last week and have only added Kenny Miller from Rangers FC to their well-established squad. Miller is expected to start his first game, while last week's disappointment Svensson should be on the bench. Galatasaray, coming from a 1-0 win over Sivasspor in their brand-new stadium, know this is their last chance to stay in the race for a European spot next season. Stancu and Zapata are expected to be in the starting line-up, while Insua is expected to replace Hakan Balta at left-back. The Albanian Cana will continue at centre-back in the absence of Lucas Neill, who is at the Asian Cup for Australia along with Harry Kewell and Emre will play at wide-left as Kewell and Arda are out for various reasons. GS1905
Galatasaray effectively shut their season down for this season as they suffered an uninspiring defeat at the hands of in-form Bursaspor. The match which started at a high tempo included very few chances for either side. Bursaspor seemed more effective in the first half, and looked to carry the ball into the attacking third more than their opponents. Galatasaray had their moments, too, as Yekta and Kazım came close from mid-range efforts just outside the D. The Crocodiles took the lead on 35' when a Batalla cross was controlled and tapped in by new signing Kenny Miller. The replays showed the Scotsman was half a yard offside when the cross came in, and there were deep suspicions of hand ball as the 32 year-old hitman brought the ball down. Brazilian-Turkish Wederson doubled the lead on 45' with a 45-metre strike which was slipped and helped into the net by Cim Bom's erratic custodian Ufuk. Galatasaray's Ayhan was sent off on 66' for collecting his second caution. Bursaspor now have 41 points out of 19 games and are in second. Galatasaray, who were without the ill-disciplined-according-to-manager Misimovic, the injured Arda, Baros, Pino, Batdal, Zan, suspended Cana and travelling Australians Neill and Kewell, are now 8th in the league and have 9 losses out of the 19 games they played. :( Here's the link to the first goal. Kenny Miller 1-0 And the second goal which was a complete disaster for the GS goalie. Wederson 2-
haydar
Galatasaray maybe spend the worst year at the history in the league they are 12. on ranking. The season already finished still there is not any hope for next year. Trabzon and Fenerbahce are in a exciting rice. Last 2 weeks will show the champion. Beşiktas is now playing with Istanbul for the ''Turkish Cup'' which is last change for them to play at the UEFA next year otherwise their situation is not different than Galatasaray. http://www.ligtv.com.tr/ligpuandurumu.aspx?l=
haydar
Galatasaray is close to finish from Athletico Diego Forlan, Jose Antonio Reyes and Tomas Ujfalusi, we know that also Athletico is interested with Arda Turan from GS and they offered 14M to GS officially. Our new major Unal Aysan told that %80 they will finish these 3 footballers. We hear that If GS can't agree with Forlan they will transfer Sulley Muntari. I think Galatasaray these are great names and will be big signings. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/...muntari?cc=5739
