Euphoria
Giourkas needs to be playing Champions League football! he is one of the best right backs in the world atm
LIODARINA
THIS IS SURE! OFCOURSE HE SHOULD GO THERE BUT IT IS NOT DEPENED ONLY FROM WHAT HE WANTS... PORTO SAID YES!! HE HAS SIGN FOR 3 YEARS, SO THEY SOLD HIM!! HE IS JUST A PRODUCT FOR THEM!
m_kafes
Giourkas has joined Dynamo Moskow. The fee for PORTO is 10 M Euro and the player will get 2M per annum. He has become the best payed Greek player ever, but I doubt that this is a good move for his career. Let me remind you that mid season many big clubs were reported to be after him (Real Madrid, Milan, Shalke)
Evergreen
Giourkas is no longer a PAO player. Topic is moved to the relevent section.
adonis
Maybe they were just rumours, although to have AC milan and real linked to you is a nice thing to have. Why Dinamo Moscow (I actually thought it was CSKA Moscow) i dunno? why did he choose to leave Porto. I hear theres a new Abramovich taking over this moscow team and his injecting big cash in the team. Russian football must be on the up esp after UEFA cup win
trifilli
Dynamo bought half the Porto team... Seitaridis joins Dynamo "Seitaridis will join an expensively assembled side which includes Porto midfielders Costinha and Maniche along with several other former team mates." Evergreen
I think this is a bad move. Should have been looking at Italy, Spain or England.
evalagoal
Great player and he deserves it.... I do agree about the move not really being one of his best, but he's going to be playing against some great strikers (fast and strong) and this will only make him better.... Good Luck my man..... You deserve it...
Panathinaikos_Trifilli
10M is great, but the club isnt... bad move my friend, he is a quality player, possibly the best for euro, VERY bad move
xiotis
good move economically speaking for giourka, but the fact that he signed it in a not so good league with a decent team for five years kills it, that means his price tag is goin to be higher now and most big teams will over look him because he will be expensive, i mean 5 years?god damn....but bravo, hes making mad money But im confused with the russian league, when does it start?i think it starts now cuz of the cold weather up there, and when would giourka be able to play
Vasili0s
Catastrophe for Giourkas, best thing to do now is not to report period. Five years in hibernation mode in the middle of nowhere, the lad with the best future has now OFFICIALLY thrown it away. Bravo leventi, more pain for Greek football. Irlandos
Dinamo Moscow is a historic team and will be forever associated with the greatest goalkeeper of all times: Lev Yashin. Good luck to Yiourkas (and I hope he keeps warm)!

chameleon65
I find it interesting too. Porto's official site mentions the transfer but no specific reasons. http://www.fcporto.pt/English/News/news_fo...20505_13622.asp The russian mob paid out 30 mil for maniche, costinha and giourkas ;) As for his future there, who knows..I wish him success and he'll learn another language. It will be cool to hear him say, Da likeski moski B)
loup
I guess this goes through in July - is the season done then in Russia? With the late start to the league - he may be out of form come the fall when we have some important qualifying games for Germany.

chameleon65
Frankly, his transfer and signing for 5 years doesn't thrill me but then again I'm not getting 2 mil/year ;) Hopefully soon he'll answer things in an interview. Best of luck to him though.

GS1905
It's quite obvious that the Porto chairman is using the club like a warehouse. He signs players for cheap deals and sells them to crapper teams for huge money. That was the case in Derlei, Carlos Alberto, Maniche and now Giourkas. It's also likely that Giourkas and Nihat will be rivals next year. UEFA Cup holders CSKA are bound to finish the move for Nihat worth $18M... Russians are playing big time! Giourkas played his first game on July 1st, and he played 90 min. vs Zenit on the weekend but dynamo lost 2-1. there's an interview with him on the official website but it's only in Russian  dynamo are in 7th place, 3 pts. out of 6th
