Cerigo
I agree with AEK66 about Tsiartas starting. The Portugese and the whole world is expecting the usual defensive effort from Greece. With Karagounis out, Rehaggel may shock everyone and start with Tsiartas whose passing and dead ball play may cause some surprises. Go Greece! Vasili0s
Yes, Kapsis WILL get the nod today. Even though he may not be at 100%, he will 'tough' it out as best he can. nothing is 'etched in stone' , but it looks like it's going to be the predictible lineup. seitaridis dellas kapsis fyssas katsouranis zagorakis basinas giannakopoulos vryzas charisteas

Irlandos
The national anthems have been played. The game is about to start. In attendance is the Prime Minister (Karamanlis' nephew) and 12,000 other Greeks. Let's hope the NT doesn't let them down!

Irlandos
Btw, before the game kicked off there was some garbage thrown out in Portuguese newspapers claiming that ref Markus Merk is a long-time friend of King Otto and would be pre-disposed to favouring Greece! slippery209
Looks like I'll be here for the game again :P Greece is slowly catching up in possession. I think possession of the ball is vital for Greece today. Of course, the more you have of the ball, the more chances you have to score. We must also get a good attack going, I want a goal before the 75th minute by Greece.
Irlandos
39th minute and this is anyone's game. Greece have had several organised attacks and are capable of scoring. Seitaridis, Dellas, Zagorakis and Giannakopoulos exude confidence that we were missing in previous years. Btw, Miguel looks injured and will probably be going off soon. slippery209
A yellow for a handball? Come on. That's stupid. I hope it at least stopped a Portugese player from making a play if Basinas got a yellow ;)
