Who will be promoted - Who is going down!

I had a lot of time today at my hands :D :D

1st group:

Pandramaikos looks very strong and already has a 6 point advantage. The second place Anakalypsi Dramas has both derbies away from home but the way that Thraki is dropping points I think that they will get the second place. This means that Tsitsopoulos (former president of Doxa Drama, now owner of Anakalypsi) will be back and that Drama might have 3 teams in C’ Division next year!!!

On the bottom of the table, AE Didimoticho has already given up. Aspida Xanthis and Nestos Chrisoupolis have very slim chances. Theagenis and Kappadokes fight to avoid the last place in the drop zone.

2nd group:

Thermaikos is 1 point ahead with one game less. Makedonikos had three ties in the row before winning this Sunday. Pavlos Melas is just 4 and 3 points behind. Everything might get resolved in the last match day when Thermaikos entertains Makedoniko.

As far as the relegation zone everything is still in the air. 6 teams (Ethnikos Mourion, Kambaniakos, PAO Koufalion, Ampelokipoi, Alexandria and Nea Kallikratia) are within 4 point in a race to avoid the last 4 spots, while Pontioi Veroia should not be filling safe yet since they are just 3 points away.

3rd group:

FS Kozani is the 3 points ahead Ptolemaida. Also in the race for the 1st or 2nd place are also the two teams of Katerini. Edessaikos draw with Aetos this week hurt their chances.

In the bottom of the table, Keravnos is long time gone having one of the weakest teams in all groups. Meliteas and Doxa Korisou have only mathematical chances. Argos Orestiko has started picking up points and tries to pass AE Kozani and Galatini, but having lost to both of them at home and having to face them away in the second round makes its task very difficult.

More discussion about group 3

4th group:

Apollon Larisas (45 points) and Anagennisi Karditsas (44 p.) are leading the group, but Apollon has a much easier schedule that Anahennisi plus the advantage in case of final tie in the standings. AO Trikalon (39 p.) is still in the hunt but with small chances.

Magnisiakos, Chrisavgi, and Miriki will take the 3 out of the 5 places that lead to the local divisions. AE Trikalon (23 p.) and Karditsa (26 p.) are after Nees Karies (27 p.) and Meteora (30 p.). The rest of the teams are not safe yet, since a streak of bad results might get them in the mix.

5th group:

All comes down to the game Anagennisi Artas – Panaitolikos in the 2nd of May. The winner gets the automatic promotion, the loser goes to the playoff games. Both teams have phenomenal season. Panaitolikos is still undefeated, while Arta has 9 straight wins!!!

In the relegation zone, Apollon Thermou (did not participate in the league) and Thyella Katsika are already gone. Kiratsa Artas (19 p.), Asteras Parapotamou (21 p.), Panipirotikos (24 p.), and Apollon Pargas (24 p.) are trying to avoid the other two spots that lead in the local divisions.

6th group:

Everything may be settled next week. Lamia (52 p.) entertains Lila Vasilikou (48 p.) trying to avenge a humiliating 5-1 defeat in the first round. If Lamia wins they can start making plans for the C’ division next year. Aias Salaminas (43 p.) is still in the hunt for the second place.

On the bottom of the table only Asteras Iteas and Doxa Prokopiou know their fate: relegation. A group of 9!!! teams are within 5 points, trying to avoid the other 3 spots of the drop zone.

7th group:

AO Mani Nikaias (49 p.) has been the convincingly winner of all the derbies that has played up to now. With only two difficult games in the remaining of Mani’s schedule, Keratsini (45 p.) and Diagoras (42 p.) can only hope that Mani will slip in a theoretically easy game. Aiolikos (39 p.) is still in the hunt of the second place.

In the tail of the standing Pontioi Drapetsonas and Anagennisi Samou have no chances to avoid any of the 4 hot positions. Digenis Koskinou is still fighting but with small chances. Apollon Kalithion (19 p.), Atromitos A.M. (21 p.), Pirgos (23 p.), Naxos (23 p.) will try to avoid the last spot.

8th group:

The only group that the winner is crystal clear. Chaidari returns in C’ Division after 9 years. Terpsithea has a small advantage of 3 points in the race for the 2nd place and the playoffs. After that is a pure massacre for a group of 10 teams that are within 6 points. A couple of wins and they go for the 2nd place – a couple of loses can sent them in the local divisions. There are already Enosi Peristeriou/Filisiou (did not participate) and Sparti. Kranidi and Asteras Tripolis are still in the fight in a group that is extremely competitive.

9th group

Pamissos (44 p.) and Achaiki (43 p.) are alternating positions in the first place, and the champion may be crowned in the last day in the game between them. Messiniakos (40 p.) is still in the race, and it will enhance their title chances with a win over Pamissos next week.

In the bottom is a race between two teams Nafpaktiakos Asteras (21 p.) and Aris Patron (18 p.) to avoid the last spot. Atromitos Antiriou (15 p.), Aris Agiou Dimitriou (14 p.), and Leivatho (13 p.) have still time to make a come back, but they better start soon.

10th group

Very interesting group (at least to me that I have watched several of these teams in the past), and highly competitive. Irodotos (50 p.), AOAN (47 p.) and Mallia (47 p.) have equal chances in the title, while Platanias (43 p.), Ionia (42 p.) and Neos Astir Rethymnou (42 p.) are still in the hunt.

Aris Rethymnou, Koutsouras and Aris Soudas have minimal chances to survive. The final spot will be occupied by OFI (24 p.), Minoiki (24 p.), Elounta (27 p.) or AE Chanion (28 p.)

Pardon my ignoraance, but how does promotion work in Division D'? Not all 10 group winners get promoted to Division C', do they?

At the other end, is it the bottom 5 teams of every group that gets demoted to the local leagues?

The winners of each group qualify to C' Ethniki directly. Also the 2nd place teams play in play-offs to determine 5 additional teams that will go through to C' Ethniki. As for demotion, the last 4 teams ofeach group are relegated to local competitions.

Don't forget that there is a plan for C' Ethniki to be re-arranged. It will consist of two groups startinmg with the next season.

Yes, it is true. EPAE has decided few months ago to split the C-Division into two groups. However they did not announce on how many teams will be in each group. My guess is that each group will have 16 teams each, but that's just speculation on my part.

From what I know the plan is for two groups of 16 teams each. If Panachaiki and Fostiras go to the D' Division this summer then maybe the second place teams put pressure to get all promoted which will give one group of 18, and one of 17 teams.

@MikeS

From groups 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 10 only 4 teams will get relegated, while from groups 4, 6, and 8 five (5) teams will get relegated.

  • 1 month later...

3 games left to end the season, so lets recup what is the status in each group.

1st group

1st place: Pandramaikos has already clinched the spot

2nd place: Enosi Thrakis (58 p.), Anakalipsi Dramas (56 p.) they will settle it in their game in Alexandroupoli next Sunday

Avoid relegation: Kappadokes (31p.), Theagenis (33 p.), and Orfeas Elefth. (34 p.) battle to avoid the last spot.

Already relegated: Nestos Chrisoupolis, Aspida Xanthis, AE Didimoticho

2nd group

1st place: Thermaikos Thermis (58 p. - 25 games) is the favorite. Pavlos Melas (55 p. - 26 games) has still mathematical chances.

2nd place: Pavlos Melas and Makedonikos Neapolis (49 p. - 25 games)

Avoid relegation: Ampelokipoi (24 p) need 3 wins in 3 games including an away win at Thermaikos home to have some chances to avoid relegation. I don't see it happening.

Already relegated: Kambaniakos, Ethnikos Mourion, Pontioi Verias

3rd group

1st place: FS Kozani (65 p.) needs two wins to clinch the group. Their schedule is easy, so I think that they will not lose the promotion this year.

2nd place: Ptolemaida (61 p.) and Pierikos (58 p.) are after the second place.

Avoid relegation: Doxa Korisou (23 p.) are after AE Kozanis (28 p.), but their schedule is very tough. They will probably be the 4th team to get demoted.

Already relegated: Panargiakos Argous Orestikou, Meliteas Melitis, Keravnos Agiou Georgiou.

4th group

1st place: Apollon Larisas (59 p.) can only lose the 1st place by suicide.

2nd place: Anagennisi Karditsas (54 p.), and AO Trikalon (53 p.)

Avoid relegation: Nees Karies (34 p.), and AO Karditsa (35 p.) try to avoid the last spot.

Already relegated: AE Trikalon, Miriki, Chrisavgi, Magnisiakos

5th group

1st place: There probably be a play off game between Panaitolikos (74 p.) and Anagennisi Artas (74 p.) to decide the champ.

2nd place: See above :P

Avoid relegation: Asteras Parapotamou (29 p.) is facing Panaitoliko and Arta in the last two round, so probably will not get more than 32 points. That’s not enough to catch Anatoli (33 p.)

Already relegated: Kiratsa Artas, Thyella Katsika, Apollon Thermou.

6th group

1st place: Lamia (70 p.) has mathematically clinch the group

2nd place: Lilas Vasilikou (59 p.) smashed Aia Salaminas (58 p.) 5-1 last week, but has a much more difficult schedule than him.

Avoid relegation: 9 teams try to avoid three spots. Aspropyrgos (36 p.) and Stilida (36 p.) are in better position, Artaki (35 p.), Kitheronas (35 p.), Dafni Livanaton (32 p.), Epaminondas Lefktron (32 p.), and Agios Thomas (32 p.) are in the mix, while Thiva (30 p.), and Fokikos (30 p.) will need at least two wins to avoid relegation.

Already relegated: Doxa Prokopiou, Asteras Iteas

7th group

1st place: Mani Nikeas (59 p.-24 games) is the favorite to win the division.

2nd place: Keratsini (57 p. - 25 games) and Aiolikos (54 p. - 25 g.) are after the second place.

Avoid relegation: Everything has been decided in the bottom of the group

Already relegated: Apollon Kalythion, Digenis Koskinou, Anagennisi Samou, Pontioi Drapetsonas

8th group

1st place: Chaidari (63 p.) has secured the title long time ago

2nd place: Athinaida (49 p.) has the advandage over Pelopa Kiatou (46 p.) and Terpsithea (45 p.)

Avoid relegation: Intense battle between 9 teams to avoid 3 spots. Aris Petroupolis (33 p.), Asteras Tripolis (35 p.), Kranidi (36 p.), AE Irakliou (37 p.), Athinaikos (37 p.), PAS Korinthos (37 p.), Rouf (38 p.), Panargeiakos (39 p.), and Nea Ionia (40 p.) are all in the mix.

Already relegated: Sparti and Enosi Peristeriou/Filisiou

9th group

1st place: Achaiki (61 p.) needs four points in 3 games to clinch the group.

2nd place: Pamisos (55 p.) will probably take the second place since Messiniakos (50 p.) has a tough schedule

Avoid relegation: Asteras Amaliadas (28 p.), and Aris Patron (26 p.) will fight to avoid the last spot. Leivatho (24 p.) has mathematical chances to catch them, but it needs a win at Pamiso tomorrow.

Already relegated: Aris Ag. Dimitriou, Atromitos Antiriou

10th group

1st place: Irodotos (63 p. - 29 g.) is one win away from the championship.

2nd place: If PANO Mallion (59 p. - 30 games) wins the last two games at home, will clinch the 2nd place. Asteras Rethymnou (55 p. - 29 games) can only hope that this will not happen.

Avoid relegation: Minoiki (32 p.) is in the more difficult spot. AE Chania (35 p.) OF Ierapetra (36 p.), Thiseas (37 p.) and Korfos (37 p.) can not feel secure yet.

Already relegated: Aris Soudas, Koutsouras, Aris Rethymnou.

Hopfully, Doxa Kourisou will not be relegated and stay in the D Division!!

Hey tihio 10, you know something about Doxa Korisou we dont know?

This is the current situation in group 3.

Kozani play away at Panargiakos Orestikou and will win and celebrate their C' division earning. Last game home against Aetos Skydras they will have a local party.

Now Ptolemaida go away to AE Kozanis. AE Kozanis need a draw to avoid relegation, because nobody knows Edessaikos appetite against Doxa Korisou! Maybe Edessaikos puts in the youngsters and Doxa make a win, or something else! In the last game Doxa play against AE Kozanis home and will need a win with any score to send them to the locals and save themselves.

But if AE Kozanis manage to draw or win...........this is were Pierikos pops up!

Yes Pierikos need Ptolemaida to trip over. In the last game Ethnikos Katerinis travels to Ptolemaida on a deadly mission sent by Pierikos! Pierikos have to beat Almopo in Aridea and Panargiako Orestikou home.

Sunday is just around the corner. <_<

The appeal was overturned last Friday, so Asteras will remain in D' division and Aris will go to the local division.

P.S. This is the final ruling, so no chance of changing again.
