Evergreen Posted February 27, 2004 Share Posted February 27, 2004 I'd rather have lost 1-0 than lose Dimi for a month :( I blame Shum for this, from the 1st minute of the game the Auxerre defenders were taking turns in kicking lumps out of Dimi and he didnt act sooner bringing on Mixalakh to bully their defence back. What is critical however is we must keep the damage of his loss to a minimum and this is where Manoli comes into it. He need to step up a level to fillt he shoes of Pap or at least try - its asking alot from him esp since he hasnt played competitively for a while now. What is good about Manolis return is we know have an added dimension to our offence and that is his speed. We must be able to use his pace, which is incredible, especially against Auxerre bc with this we can brake so quickly attacking wise and he can out run the defence.
