In 2020 GS Iraklis merged with Iraklis Ambelokipon and started playing in professional leagues again as Iraklis 1908. In 2021 the agreement with Iraklis Ambelokipon was terminated. In 2021 GS Iraklis merged with PO Triglia to form PO Triglia Iraklis, which eventually got promoted to the Superleague in 2026.
