pash
So they haven't beaten us at home since the 09-10 season? Not bad. I anticipate our playing a better game than in the cup. My only worry is overconfidence. Hopefully a full Toumba will put the fear of God in them.
Blackhawk
Shakhov will miss the game due to cards.
Blackhawk
Two Athenian officials were assigned for this game. Kalogerolpoulos, AEK's pet ref as the main official and the linesman Karatzikas. Considering the events of the cup final, I expect AEK to get preferential treatment by the refs. The team needs to be focused and show to play. if we play to our potential, the win is ours. And if we win, we basically prevent AEK from thinking of winning the playoffs. I the other game a expect an easy win for Panathinaikos.

pash
We're going to be targeted in all four of those games. Both of those teams are sore, but I see no reason why we shouldn't have convincing wins against both. Two home wins and one away draw should be enough. I can't see us losing either game vs Panionios. Blackhawk
We have a better team and deeper roster than all the other three teams in the competition. Like you said pash we will be targeted. I even dare to predict that Matos will be a player that will be red carded during the playoffs. We need to beat AEK and if possible convincingly to send a message that we are serious. Panionios was a tough team during the regular season, but they are just happy that they will play in Europe, so I see them selling out to the highest bidders. We'll see their intentions in their game against Panathinaikos. I predict a clear win by PAO.
pash
InPAOK had a blurb today about Matos getting lessons in how to avoid the cards over the next games...I laughed out loud at that. 1 - you can't teach an old dog new tricks 2 - if he'll be targeted to get cards, he'll get them regardless of how he plays 2 - if he perceives that he's being targeted, he'll fly even more off the handle Hopefully Kitsiou is up to snuff. I think we'll be fine even with him. I wonder if Toumba will sell out for these games? Or if we'll have crowd troubles...
Blackhawk
I would hope for this game the Toumba will be full. After all we won a title after 14 years. Does not happen every day. It may even be the last game with fans for this season depending on the upcoming cup final punishment. I don't think there will fan trouble. Not unless Kalogeropoulos pretends to be Pappas or Spathas. As for Matos he needs to be very careful. Not only getting a red, but he is sitting on 5 yellow cards (Crespo and Malezas as well) and with yellows he will have to sit out 2 games in the playoffs. Blackhawk
My lineup for the game: ---------------- Glykos ----------------- Matos - Varela - Crespo - Leovac ------- Canas ------- Cimirot -------- Campos --- Biseswar --- Henrique --------------- Prijovic ----------------
pash
The lineup choices seem very straightforward, especially since Shakhov is out. Wouldn't be surprised to see Pelkas start over Henrique, too.
Blackhawk
I think he will start Henrique as a reward for the winning goal in the cup. Biseswar has not been training with the team for the past 2 days, but is supposed to be back at practice tomorrow. Hopefully he'll be ready. pash
He had a viral infection, from what I understand. They're saying now that he'll definitely be available for the game. I would be surprised if he plays for more than a half, though - Ivic has been very open about how Biseswar can't handle a game every three days, and he may be needed vs PAO. Blackhawk
That's also a possibility. Ivic needs to look forward to the game on Wednesday as well, where I think he will try and plays more defensive game. The main thing this Sunday is to win the game at any cost. pash
If he goes all-out for this game, it would also make sense to play Henrique. We have a healthy back line and are playing in Toumba, there's no better time to throw in a creative wild card than now. I think he and Pelkas would be fun to watch together as well. Same with Warda, for that matter.
