Antaeus7
I would like to know will we ever going to see a Greek athlete win a medal in our lifetime at the Winter Olympic Games? What do you guys think?
Blackhawk
Highly unlikely. In my opinion the only way for this to happen is to go the "Athletes for Hire" route like some countries do (Turkey,Bahrain, UAE, etc.). Convince athletes from other countries that are strong in winter sports to change nationality and compete for Greece. In order to do that you need money to pay them, and that is something the Greek Olympic Committee does not have.
Dutch Eagle
Defenitely possible. If Nicolien Sauerbreij from the The Netherlands can do it, why can't someone from Greece do it also. The highest point in the Netherlands is 323 metres above sealevel. There are no natural skiresorts here. In Greece there are several. Just need someone with passion, perseverance and okay money. But maybe there is some Greek who will start speedskating or even curling. Also Olympic sports......
